A protest over a grand jury's decision to not indict a New York police officer in the death of Eric Garner briefly shut down Highway 101 in Palo Alto on Wednesday. The protest, which appeared to involve students from Stanford University, started about 7:30 p.m. and lasted two hours, said police Agent Marianna Villaescusa. No arrests were made.
