Governor John Kasich has issued a state of emergency for Lucas County and surrounding communities due to algae toxins detected in the water during routine testing. Do not drink the water. Alternative water should be used for drinking, making infant formula, making ice, brushing teeth and preparing food. Pets should not drink the water. Do not boil the water.. At about the same time, 8-year-old Myles Eckert came in with his family. Myles was very excited. He'd just found a $20 bill in the parking lot. He'd started thinking of what he could spend it on. "I kind of wanted to get a video game, but then I decided not to," Myles says. He changed his mind when he saw the guy in uniform.

Police say Antione Garret, 34, and his girlfriend awoke to the sound of someone breaking into their home on Leybourn Avenue. When Garret heard the front window shatter, he ran downstairs and saw Randy Estrada, 21, climbing inside. Garret fired his handgun several times, until Estrada climbed back out the window and ran away.

An Ohio high school is on lockdown amid a standoff with a student that has a gun, authorities say. A Toledo Public Schools spokesman told the Toledo Blade that the student is contained inside a classroom alone at Scott High School. Police said the gunman is 15 years old, the newspaper reported.

An Ohio woman wasn't lovin' it when a Toledo McDonald's ran out of McNuggets. Images from a security video released this week shows Melodi Dushane, 24, punching two employees and smashing a drive-through window after finding out Chicken McNuggets weren't being served during breakfast time. Dushane was caught on tape trying to reach through the window before punching two employees on New Year's Day.
