A report from the state House Fiscal Agency shows that there has been a steady decline in the number of police officers in Michigan, falling 15.4 percent from 1990 to 2015. Consider that the state police retirement system now costs between 57 percent and 63 percent of the Michigan State Police’s total payroll. It is not because the benefits are lavish. It is because the state is trying to pay for promises that it made in the...

Dear protesters, Please, please, PLEASE bring out more and bigger Messican flags at the next protest. PLEASE have more signs that say "Make America Mexico Again". You are helping us more than you realize. Dear Hitlary, Please, please, PLEASE run on an anti-gun platform, I'm begging you. In my opinion, Trump should run GE ads using the "protesters" as proof of his position. He should also run ads highlighting Hitlarys anti-gun stance. If he does that, GAME. OVER.

If it were possible to squeeze a bit more respect into an already overflowing perspective therein, well this just does the trick. Like a boss.

Here's some good news for all you black folks complaining about racism in America. You don't know how good you have it. At least that's the message I heard during one of the strangest conversations I've ever had about race. I was talking about the concept of white privilege -- the belief that being white comes with unearned advantages and everyday perks that its recipients are often unaware of. I asked a white retiree if he believed in the existence of white privilege. He said no, but there was another type of privilege he wanted to talk about: "Black privilege."...
