US OFFICIALS are investigating the leader of an online forum where a massive trove of Pentagon documents was leaked. Jack Teixeira, 21, is a member of the intelligence wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, reports The New York Times. He oversaw an online group called Thug Shaker Central where approximately 30 people - mostly young men and teens - shared a love of guns, racist memes and games. Earlier this year, on May 16th,  a three judge panel on the Ninth Circuit ruled that Alameda County in California could not impose a zoning ordinance on gun stores that was more strict than for other businesses.  In the case, Teixeira v. This essay is a response to a fascinating article by John B. Judis and Ruy Teixeira entitled "Back to the Future: The Re-emergence of the Emerging Democratic Majority." Judis and Teixeira argue that the 2006 election signals a realignment that favors the Democratic Party.
