Woman Who Was Arrested and Called “Teagbagger” by Deputy Awarded $1.12 Million For Illegal Arrest A federal jury has awarded Nancy Genovese an amount of $1.12 million for her inappropriate prosecution by Suffolk County law enforcement. It was an innocent enough day for Nancy Genovese of Long Island. After visiting a shooting range, the mother of three stopped to take a photo of a decorative helicopter in front of a National Guard base in the Hamptons for use on a website showing support for the troops. She was on public property the entire time. She was charged with trespassing and...

A Long Island federal jury rewarded Nancy Genovese, 58, a mother of three, $1.12 million in compensatory damages after being arrested in 2009 for attempting to photograph a helicopter at a Air National Guard base in the Hamptons. Genovese intended to use the photo on a “Support the Troops” website; she was arrested for trespass and insulted as a "Teabagger." From The New York Post: Southhampton cops searched her and found a legally owned rifle that she was transporting from a nearby rifle range. She contends a deputy sheriff arrived on the scene later and said to her, “I bet...

No matter what vulgar things Kathy Griffin does on CNN's live New Year's Eve broadcasts, the folks at the supposedly most trusted name in news continue to invite her back. On Monday night's program, after first telling co-host Anderson Cooper "I'm going to tickle your sack," she shortly after midnight actually kissed his crotch...

Anderson Cooper has some news to share. "The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn't be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud," the CNN anchor wrote Monday in an open letter to his longtime friend Andrew Sullivan of the Daily Beast. The host of Anderson Cooper: 360, 45, also says that he has waited until now to announce the fact because, "As long as a journalist shows fairness and honesty in his or her work, their private life shouldn't matter." Cooper, who also hosts his own syndicated talk daytime show Anderson, addressed...

Marcel Williams is plopped down on a couch in his family's duplex apartment. The stillness is unusual for the 14-year-old, who a few years ago roamed football fields as a star running back for the national champion Flagler Junior Pee Wee Bulldogs. Since then, Marcel said he had been earning A's and B's at Buddy Taylor Middle School, where he also expected to continue playing football this year. Instead, school just started and Marcel finds himself slouched on the couch, expelled from the classroom and the football field until next year because of something called "tea-bagging" -- a crude taunt...

REPORTER: Are you able to get an answer on Fred's question about the teabagger quote, if the President is aware that people are offended? GIBBS: Again, I have not seen the book. I can't imagine I'm going to ask the President that, but I will -- I will entertain it. I will check.

The term "tea-bagger" is like uttering the "n" word, some say. Though he aspires to promote civility, evidence has surfaced that President Obama has added "tea-bagger" to his public lexicon, though it's considered a cheap and tawdry insult by "tea party" activists. Watchdogs at Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) barked when they saw the proof, tucked in a sneak peak of Newsweek columnist Jonathan Alter's new book, "The Promise: President Obama, Year One," to be released May 18. "This remark is the equivalent of using the 'n' word. It shows contempt for middle America, expressed knowingly, contemptuously, on purpose, and...

That person who tried to blow up Times Square with an SUV bomb? It MUST have been a Teabagger! The DUmmies are SURE of it! Only a white, Christian, heterosexual, SUV-driving, anti-Obama racist could be responsible for such a reprehensible terrorist act--although AmeriKKKa does deserve it, of course. See the DUmmie paranoia and prejudice unfold here in this THREAD, "PREDICTION: They'll arrest somebody for the Times Square Event within 48 hours." So let us all hop in our gas-guzzling SUVs and head on over to DUmmieland. The DUmmie comments are in--what will turn out to be--Red-faced Red, while the...

Just released video, "I'm Proud to be a Teabagger", has just been released to coincide with today's Tax Day Tea Parties across the country. The far-left radicals (including many in the the mainstream media) have used the pejorative "Teabagger", as a way to ridicule the powerful national movement that's beyond their comprehension.

I suspect that many of us have debated with liberals on various topics and the Tea Party has come into the conversation. Liberals titter at their grade-school sexual slang when they refer to the "teabaggers". I submit that to ignore this is to cede the battleground of terms. But to simply argue about the term "teabagger" does nothing other than to put one on the defensive and reinforces the use of the term. My suggestion is that instead of arguing about "teabaggers" instead use the term Tea Party Patriot instead of Tea Partiers. The shift in term is both accurate...

With a final score that totaled $0, Cooper missed questions about world leaders, geography, and literature (among other topics). By the time "Final Jeopardy" came around, he was so stumped by a question about the author of "The Wizard of Oz" that his screen displayed simply the word "Who."

In mid-2011, Katie Couric's five-year contract at CBS News will expire, and network executives appear to be exploring a "Plan B" if she departs after her oft-rocky tenure in the anchor's chair. According to the New York Times, that backup plan could very well be CNN host Anderson Cooper, who reportedly met with CBS execs months ago about anchor opportunities at the network. The Times got the information from a pair of "TV veterans informed of the meeting." However, a spokesperson for CNN denies a meeting ever occurred and claim in a statement to EW that Cooper "is not engaged...

Responding to this post, a reader e-mails with a handy round-up of MSM attempts to tie Joe Stack to the tea-party movement: Subject: NY times first MSM'er to make the "Tea Bag" connection They had to stretch back 20 years to do it, but their crack researchers came thru in a pinch. “In April 1990, a firebomb packed with a tea bag — a reference to the Boston Tea Party — and addressed to the I.R.S. was placed in the mail in Royal Oak, Mich. It exploded, injuring a postal worker.” And while they appear to make it look like...

The idiot attacks, insults, bad mouths not only Tea Party attendees, but Free Republic as well. He claims that the source of the disgusting phrase 'teabaggers' is from a FREE REPUBLIC.COM rally held a year ago! And of course FReepers are racists because they participate in Tea Party rallies! I'm fighting mad over this bonehead and his bizarro world 'lectures' that freedom/Constitution loving PATRIOTS of all shapes, sizes, genders, religions, COLOR, etc. are 'racists' because 'everyone looks exactly like you'--that is KKK white Obama hating because he is black racists. Over the last few days we have seen quite a few liberals making snide comments about Scott Brown being part of the “teabagger” movement, as if that’s supposed to be some kind of curse against him. Martha Coakley’s team just made statements yesterday about Brown being part of the right wing establishment and supported by teabaggers groups.

Crain's Chicago Business has just gotten into the business of indulging in foul, sexually charged name calling, apparently. Yes, you can mark Crain's Chicago Business as only the latest news outlet to decide it's funny to call conservatives "tea-baggers." It's a name that lefties have been tagging the movement with all winter, one derived from the sexually perverse homosexual practice. This time it's the self-assumed humorist and political columnist Greg Hinz who thought it was hilarious to call an Illinois gubernatorial candidate a "Tea-bagger." In a blog post about candidate for Governor Adam Andrzejewski, Hinz broke out the funny bone...
