2011 Boston TEA Party Rally Disrupted by Union Thugs (illegally?) enabled by Boston Police (Parts 1,2,3) Just as the 2011 Boston TEA Party rally was beginning, a group of Public Sector Union thugs marched in, planted themselves directly in front of the podium and blocked the speakers. They chanted offensive slogans on the 3 megaphones they had brought and continued to do so for the entire 2 hours! The Boston Police, also Public Sector Union members, came in and stood in front of them. The police did not ask the disruptors to leave, even after Michael Graham on the bandstand...

These are links I have posted to a Twitter account as I followed the Tax Day Tea Party on the Internet. I will be deleting these links from the Twitter account and adding them here on FreeRepublic.com. Please feel free to add your own Tax Day Tea Party articles, links, summaries and I will add some more here as I find them. Thank you. Cindy

While we may have sent a message on November 2nd 2010, from the voting booth, it s is clear some in the Colorado capitol and some in Washington DC have not gotten the message, or have chosen to ignore it. In recent weeks it has become clear that organizations such as SEIU and the various Union leadership not only reject our message, but seek to counter that message and to silence us. Let us stand together once again and remind our government and organizations like SEIU, that we have not gone away and we will not go away. They have...

Can't find a live thread yet--so I'm posting this one! Checked out the DC traffic cams first thing this morning, and the crowds are building up. I hope this rally passes the 912 Rally in attendance! :-) 10:52 am EST

Today, I share uncut audio of a phone conversation I had Friday with Steve Belosi, one of two men who crashed the Tax Day Tea Party Thursday in St. Charles, Mo.

I only uploaded those pictures here which from what I have seen are unique. I am so glad I made the trip to the capital to attend this event. I will only put a handful of pictures on display here because they are so large, but feel free to use any of these. Browse my profile on take back usa for the rest of the photos. After seeing this sign, I quietly hummed the teapot song to myself, I couldn't help it. This was incredibly creative. Captain America's flag was so big he had to anchor it to his waist....

Naples tea party organizer Barry Willoughby said he expected a large turnout for the rally. A rough estimate from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office was “well over 1,000,” spokeswoman Kristi Lester said. Tea party officials could not be reached for comment on their crowd estimates. Attendee Roger Hammer said he walked the crowd from one side to the other and believed there were between 8,000 and 10,000 people. Other attendees, who declined to go on record, agreed with Hammer.

Fox News says it pulled host Sean Hannity from a Cincinnati tea party event on Tax Day because the network never agreed to allow the program to be used to provide a profit to the grass-roots organization. The tea party, however, is reporting that's not what it was told. As WND reported yesterday, Fox News executives angrily ordered Hannity to drop plans to broadcast his show from Cincinnati where a tea-party rally was being held. The celebrity was on a book tour for his No. 1 best-seller "Conservative Victory: Defeating Obama's Radical Agenda" and was scheduled to be a featured...

The Huffington Post has fallen for a fake Tea Party sign. This screenshot shows the Huffington Post describing the (FAKE) image as "shocking":--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- According to the Politico "a self-described infiltrator at the afternoon rally, who dressed as a monk and carried a sign reading “God Hates Taxes,” said many tea partiers lauded him for his sign."

It’s beginning to look a lot like 1972. Or maybe it’s looking more like 1976, or ’71, or ’79. While seemingly each passing year of the 70’s entailed its own unique challenges and dilemmas for the United States, the decade was certainly characterized by, among other things, our nation’s own cultural chaos and internal upheaval. And this chaos and upheaval – along with the American electorate’s response to it – can inform our understanding of what’s happening to our country today. The cultural chaos at the start of that decade was tremendous. There was the so-called “sexual revolution,” that challenged...

For 20 seconds on Thursday, President Obama basked in applause from donors in Miami when he mocked the nationwide Tea Party rallies that caused an eruption of angst on Tax Day. "I've been a little amused over the last couple of days where people have been having these rallies about taxes. You would think they would be saying thank you," Obama said to a group of Democratic supporters who shelled out between $250 and $1250 to attend. But it remains unclear who will get the last laugh: the president or the Tea Party? "What the president said last night was...

WASHINGTON – Driving in to the Tea Party rally on April 15, I was listening to CBS radio news, whose correspondent talked about “the 3,000 people” there and their quaint concerns. His tone was, at best, patronizing. Perhaps he was talking about an earlier Tea Party Express rally at Freedom Plaza, because the one I saw near the Washington Monument across from the White House was far larger than 3,000, or even the 20,000 at the Capitol last November opposing the health care takeover. This crowd, replete with countless signs, Uncle Sam hats and hundreds of Gadsden “Don’t Tread on...

The Tea Party Express, which started its journey in Senator Harry Reid’s hometown – Searchlight, Nevada – finished its tour of 43 cities today. Thousands from across the country gathered at 10 a.m. to hear speakers and musicians, and to show their displeasure with big corrupted government. This was the first of two mega-rallies in the capital, with the second at 4 p.m. Many signs ridiculed the biased and discredited MSM and political leaders who have been attacking and slandering the tea-party movement for over a year now.

On April 15, 2010, I attended my first Tea Party Rally in Grand Prairie, Texas (between Dallas and Ft. Worth). I came with video camera in hand, to answer one simple question: Are Tea Partiers, as politicians and the media have suggested, a bunch or racists, rednecks, and violence-prone malcontents? Or are they ordinary American citizens, dissatisfied with Washington, exercising their right to free speech, peaceful assembly and redress of grievances? Please forward links to this video to anyone who has been affected by the media distortion and lies about the motivations of the Tea Party Movement. In other words, EVERYONE...

Here's an update of Tea Party total attendence. Since Tea Parties are going on all week, I'm leaving it open for rallies today. Numbers come from FReepers who attended, or, occasionally from local news reports. If you attended and your city is not on the list, please add your total in this thread and I'll update later. I know I am missing several large events,ie: LA (central) SF Phoenix Tucson Cheyanne Baton Rouge Anchorage and undoubtedly several others. If you were there or know someone who was, please fill in the blanks for your fellow FReepers. Current totals: cities, 88...

San Francisco you let me down. Yesterday was the big, fancy National Tea Party Day. As part of their protest against Obama, health care reform, tax day, and the onslaught of socialism that's virtually pissing in the face of the ghost of Ronald Reagan, the Tea Party Patriots took to Union Square to voice their displeasure of all things unpatriotic. That's right, the Tea Baggers were on our turf, telling the people of San Francisco (or "San Fransicko" as they referred to it) how we're the symbol of everything wrong in this country. The protest looked not unlike an American flag that...
