The current Sheriff is Scott Israel; he was elected to office in November 2012. As Sheriff, Israel has made it a point to reach out to diverse crowds, including those who could be considered enemies of the U.S. and her allies. Broward Sheriff Scott Israel’s 2015 radical Muslim tour began this past January, when he posed for photos with Sofian Abdelaziz Zakkout and a member of Zakkout’s Miami-based AMANA group at a local mosque. Zakkout is a big supporter of Hamas. On his Facebook page, one can find Hamas logos and photos of Hamas militants and leaders, including Hamas founders Ahmed Yassin and...

The Taliban overran a military base in the remote northern Afghan province of Badakhshan this weekend, capturing more than 100 police and tribal fighters before disarming and freeing them. Taliban fighters began their assault on the Qala base in the embattled district of Warduj beginning on July 24, according to the jihadist group and Afghan press reports. The base was overrun by July 25, but the Afghan government and the Taliban differ on the reasons why. Afghan officials claimed that a police commander known as Amanullah and his officers defected to the Taliban, TOLONews reported. “Amanullah head of the border...

Top Obama bundler Jodie Evans with Marxist tyrant Hugo Chavez and Barack Obama The Obama State Department this week disavowed its promotion of a Muslim cleric after it was reported by the Washington Free Beacon that the cleric, Sheik Abdallah Bin Bayyah, endorsed a fatwa in 2004 authorizing Muslims to kill U.S. troops in Iraq. At the same time, the Obama administration continues to deal with Obama funder and Code Pink co-founder Jodie Evans who helped deliver cash and humanitarian aid to “the other side” in Fallujah in 2004 and made a personal statement in 2005 supporting the killing of...

Bowe Bergdahl, the U.S. soldier who was released in a prisoner exchange in Afghanistan for five Taliban detainees, wound up in the middle of a pot raid earlier this week in northern California. Captian Greg Van Patten with the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office told Fox News Thursday that the county’s marijuana eradication team encountered Bergdahl on Tuesday while serving a search warrant on a home in Redwood City, Calif.

A Green Beret who was awarded the Silver Star, then saw it stripped away because he killed a Taliban bombmaker, is telling why he did it, as conveyed in a CIA job interview he conducted nearly four years ago. Maj. Matt Golsteyn said the insurgent was a known maker of improvised explosive devices (IEDS) and was in the presence of such components. He considered him an armed combatant, so he shot him. Army Secretary John McHugh, who revoked the award, told The Washington Times through a spokesman that Maj. Golsteyn “assassinated an unarmed Afghan.” The soldier’s words, and Mr. McHugh’s...

WASHINGTON – ISIS is beginning to extend its influence into Afghanistan, but the Obama administration no longer is giving the country priority, and the 10,000 American troops that remain are feeling abandoned, a U.S. intelligence officer has told Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin The officer, who is stationed in Afghanistan and has requested anonymity for security reasons, paints a bleak picture in a war zone that is apparently all but forgotten after an investment of more than $1 trillion by the U.S. There simply aren’t enough active-duty U.S. reservists or National Guard personnel in Afghanistan to complete the mission, he contends....

Fighters loyal to Islamic State have seized substantial territory in Afghanistan for the first time, witnesses and officials said, wresting areas in the east from rival Taliban insurgents in a new threat to stability. Witnesses who fled fighting in Nangarhar province told Reuters that hundreds of insurgents pledging allegiance to Islamic State pushed out the Taliban, scorching opium poppy fields that help to fund the Taliban's campaign to overthrow the Afghan government.

The Taliban have carried out a co-ordinated attack on the Afghan parliament in the capital, Kabul, where heavy fighting is still going on. Attackers detonated a huge car bomb outside the building, before racing into parliament itself, reports say. Police are evacuating the premises, while trying to fight off the attackers.

The light of truth is starting to shine through the narrative that is known as the Bowe Bergdahl capture. In a Fox News exclusive interview with former CIA operative “Duane ‘Dewey’ Clarridge, the agent revealed that Bowe Bergdahl was high on hashish with Afghan soldiers before being captured by nomads and subsequently sold to the Taliban aligned Haqqani network. The revelation brings to light the true circumstances of Bergdahl’s disappearance Clarridge established a network of local informants in an attempt to secure the release of a Western journalist. The CIA learned from the informants that an American soldier and his...

Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl was apparently “high” with a small group of Afghan soldiers when they were picked up by nomads in 2009, according to a former CIA operative who was running a network of informants on the ground. The information brings some additional detail to the otherwise murky picture of the circumstances of Bergdahl’s disappearance and capture, five years before the Obama administration traded five Guantanamo prisoners for Bergdahl’s freedom. The former CIA operative told Fox News Bergdahl was captured along with others, and sold to the Haqqani terrorist network in Pakistan within four days. “The call came in and...

The Bamiyan Buddhas were erected in the 5th Century in a valley in Afghanistan astride the Silk Road near the border with Persia. Towering 58 meters and 38 meters respectively, they looked down on the valley from their niches in the side of a cliff from around the time of the fall of the Roman Empire to the rise of the Taliban. The Taliban, which ruled Afghanistan, blew the Buddhas up for being an affront to their version of Islam in March 2001, months before the attacks of 9/11 touched off a chain of events that led to their downfall....

Fox News is reporting that the Obama administration actually tried to recruit the Taliban Five, the Gitmo detainees who were released to Qatar by Obama in exchange for the traitor Bo Bergdahl. They wanted to get these Islamo-Nazis on our side in hopes of getting intel from them as well as a way of keeping up with them or something. But that effort failed miserably, according to Fox News. They had to know this wouldn’t work. Honestly, this just sounds like the Obama administration trying to save a little face because they shouldn’t have released them in the first place....

The Islamic State’s so-called “Khorasan province” threatened the Taliban in a video released late last month. The video, which is more than 15 minutes long, features a lengthy speech by an unnamed jihadist (see image above) in front of armed fighters and local villagers. The speaker, citing the Prophet Mohammed, warns that there cannot be two caliphs. If one of the caliphs fulfills the appropriate criteria for being the ummah’s supposed leader — that is, the head of the worldwide community of Muslims — then the other must be vanquished, the speaker says. Although he doesn’t name Afghan Taliban leader...

ISLAMABAD - A travel ban on five senior Afghan Taliban officials freed by the United States in a prisoner exchange last year will expire Sunday. The five Taliban officials have been in Qatar since last year, when they were released in exchange for the return of an American soldier held by insurgents in Afghanistan for nearly five years. The approaching end of the travel ban has concerned American lawmakers and Afghan peace negotiators who worry that the former Taliban fighters will return to the battlefield in strife-torn Afghanistan. U.S. government officials said they remain in close contact with authorities in...

The United Nations special representative of the secretary-general for children and armed conflict, Leila Zerrougui, is set to recommend blacklisting the Israel Defense Forces as a terror group for regularly causing harm to children. The designation would place the IDF in the same group as terror groups such as Islamic State, Boko Haram, and the Taliban. According to Yedioth Ahronoth, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is leaning towards leaving Israel off the list—despite heavy lobbying by the Palestinians and pro-Palestinian groups—over concern of damaging the world body’s relationship with the Jewish state. The Israeli Foreign Ministry slammed the hypocrisy of the...

Foreign fighters who claim allegiance to Islamic State are gathering dozens of recruits in eastern Afghanistan, luring would-be jihadis with generous resources and the group’s powerful brand, according to a Taliban fighter who has met several of their commanders. The rapid and dramatic victories clocked up by Isis in Iraq, Syria and Libya have attracted some young men with specific grievances against government or foreign forces, who simply want the strongest possible allies. Others seem drawn by the novelty of an upstart force, the Taliban veteran said, or by the apparently deep pockets of a group that boasts laptops, benevolent...

When President Obama draped the nation’s highest award for combat valor around the neck of an Afghan war hero at the White House in October 2013, a highly decorated Green Beret officer who sat nearby faced an ugly reality: The Army was investigating him on charges of murder and conspiracy. Maj. Mathew L. Golsteyn was invited to the ceremony by William D. Swenson, who received the Medal of Honor for his actions in Afghanistan four years earlier. Like Swenson, Golsteyn had braved enemy fire repeatedly, seen fellow soldiers die and voiced deep frustration with the ways he saw U.S. troops...

The five senior Taliban Commanders released from Guantanamo (GITMO) in exchange for the return of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl are set to be freed from their “luxurious” confinement in Qatar effective June 1. These five hard-core terrorists are Mullah Norullah Noori, Abdul Haq Wasiq, Mullah Mohammad Fazl, Khairullah Khairkhwa and Mohammend Nabi Omari. They were classified as some of the most dangerous Taliban commanders held at GITMO, according to Thomas Joscelyn of The Long War Journal. There is little doubt that these five Taliban commanders will return to the Afghanistan battlefield. The real issue that should not be overlooked is...

Mullah Norullah Noori, Abdul Haq Wasiq, Mullah Mohammad Fazl, Khairullah Khairkhwa and Mohammend Nabi Omari, the five Taliban Commanders traded for Sgt. Bergdahl, will soon be released from their “confinement.” Admiral James T. “Ace” Lyons said there is “little doubt” that the terrorists will return to the battlefield in Afghanistan. These terrorists are set to be released on June 1st, one year to the day after they were traded for Sgt. Bergdahl. As part of the trade, the government of Qatar had promised to “restrict” the terrorists’ movements for one year. Now, they will be free. Free to go right...
