Global health chiefs have finally admitted that they may have overreacted to the swine flu 'pandemic' - landing governments with millions of unused vaccines. The World Health Organisation has conceded that it may have been guilty of failing to communicate 'uncertainties' about how virulent the new virus was. Critics say the UN agency was too quick to designate the influenza a pandemic in June after it spread from Mexico. Keiji Fukuda, its top influenza expert, yesterday admitted a six-phase system for declaring this was confusing and the bug was not actually as deadly as bird flu. 'The reality is there...

President Obama called the 22-year ban on travel and immigration by HIV-positive individuals a decision "rooted in fear rather than fact" and announced the end of the rule-making process overturning the ban. The president signed the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009 at the White House Friday and also spoke of the new rules, which have been under development more more than a year. "We are finishing the job," the president said. The regulations are the final procedural step in ending the ban, and will be published Monday in the Federal Register, to be followed by the standard...

Just a week after it emerged that the German armed forces was getting a different kind of A/H1N1 vaccine to the general population, Der Spiegel magazine reports that the government will also get special treatment. The general population will be offered the GlaxoSmithKline vaccine, called Pandemrix, which contains a new booster element, or adjuvant, as well as a preservative containing mercury. Controversy has grown around the rapid licensing of the GSK vaccine – and a similar one being made by Novartis. Critics said not enough testing had been conducted before European licensing authorities rushed an approval. Chancellor Angela Merkel, her...

Is the Left trying to Kill us? I know the Swine Flu news has taken a back seat recently even though now over a million people have been affected. This journalist is claiming that the Swine Flu (yes I know they changed the name to H1N1 but I am not too politically correct) was man made. I do know that biological materials were missing from an Army lab and who knows how much is really missing? I do know that a certain firm predicted over a 531% increase in profit from the sale of Tamiflu last year before the flu...

Japan girls with swine flu attended mock UN meet Thu May 21, 2:29 am ET TOKYO (AFP) – Two Japanese schoolgirls who have caught swine flu had attended a mock conference in New York reportedly joined by 2,300 students from around the world, officials said Thursday. The girls, both aged 16, tested positive for the A(H1N1) virus Wednesday, becoming the first known cases in the greater Tokyo area, officials said. They were diagnosed after returning Tuesday from a week-long visit to New York where they took part in what Japanese media described as a United Nations-style conference with 2,300 international...

Friday May 1, 2009 Commentary: Swine and Abortion Commentary by Rev. Thomas J. Euteneuer, President, Human Life InternationalMay 1, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - As loathe as I am to sully the good name of "swine" by relating them to abortion, there is a story in the Mexican swine flu epidemic that you will not hear broadcast by the major media or lamented in the stories of its victims: it is the connection between the epidemic and the legalization of abortion in Mexico.I learned of the story this week when I was conducting an HLI pilgrimage to the shrine of Our...

In a discussion this morning with a cell biologist and medical doctor working at Johns Hopkins, my friend thought this 4-part flu combination is highly unusual and looks like it could be man-made. Especially because it has an avian strain. My doctor friend (he's Taiwanese) explained that in Asia, it's common for a avian-swine-human flu to happen naturally, but this virus first showed up in Mexico, where pigs and ducks are not usually raised together. Also, recombination of more than 2-different flu viruses is extremely rare. I'm just repeating what he said as an expert in the field. He says...
