Peter Smith told the Wall Street Journal in May that he reached out to people he believed were affiliated with the Kremlin to find messages from the Democrat’s private server. The owner of the Golden Krust restaurant chain who committed suicide inside his Bronx factory was being sued by a former staffer for thousands in lost wages, court records show. Robert Wray, a former maintenance staffer, sued Lowell Hawthorne in Manhattan federal court, saying he was never paid for the overtime he worked during his 11-year tenure. Wray’s lawsuit contends more than 100 other Gold Krust staffers were similarly stiffed for overtime they worked, the 15-page complaint filed on March 8 says. The case —which seeks class action status — is pending.

A 22-year-old woman was killed after a 12-year-old boy attempting suicide by jumping off an overpass in Virginia landed on her car Saturday afternoon, investigators said. May 5, 16-year-old Jchandra Brown hanged herself at a campground in Payson, Utah. Her friend Tyerell Przybycien is accused of helping her by buying the rope and tying the noose she put around her neck, and the compressed air she used to knock herself out before dying.
