Planned Parenthood Southeast on Friday filed a federal lawsuit over Gov. Robert Bentley’s effort to cut off Medicaid payments to the organization’s Alabama clinics. The organization said Bentley’s effort penalizes low-income women who seek contraceptive and preventative health care services at the clinics. The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Montgomery. It accuses Bentley of violating a federal law that they said requires Medicaid patients to have their choice of provider to receive family planning care. “We’re in court today because each and every patient, and her ability to make her own deeply personal and private health care decisions,...

They say abortion is safe for women and abortions are a matter of the bests interests regarding women’s health, but another abortion malpractice lawsuit puts those claims to rest again. According to pro-life blogger Jill Stanek, a new malpractice lawsuit involves an abortion that went awry when the suction tube used to vacuum the body of the unborn child broke off into the woman’s uterus so badly she needed surgery. The abortion practitioner, who is supposed to be the finest guardian of women’s health according to Planned Parenthood, cared so little for the woman’s medical well-being that he sent her...

Now Thode is suing her professor and Lehigh University in Bethlehem, claiming monetary damages and seeking a grade change. To paraphrase Herman’s Hermits: Second term, same as the first? The latest front in the war on coal has shifted far from the mines which produce the raw materials for energy production, and to a state known for its contentious relationship with the Obama administration. Arizona has filed suit against the EPA over new rules that it calls “absurd,” and which will drive up energy costs for little practical purpose (via The Right Scoop): Arizona challenged in federal court U.S. environmental regulators efforts to force Arizona power companies to spend up to $1 billion to install pollution control equipment at...

President Barack Obama, along with many Democrats, likes to say that, while they may disagree with the GOP on many issues related to national security, they absolutely share their admiration and dedication to members of our armed forces. So, why is his campaign and the Democrat party suing to restrict their ability to vote in the upcoming election? Judicial Watch filed suit Tuesday in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia for access to all records pertaining to an August 2010 vacation taken by the first lady and her daughters — including cost estimates and passenger manifests. "Evidently, American taxpayers were stuck with a sizable bill so Mrs. Obama could tour around Spain with her family and friends, This administration, as a supposed steward of taxpayer dollars, has an obligation...

Judicial Watch filed a freedom of information request for documents pertaining to the possible leak of the information relating to the killing of Osama bin Laden to a Hollywood producer in August 2011. The administration has yet to cough up the information, so Judicial Watch is suing them. The DOD admitted receiving the FOIA request on August 22, 2011, but advised Judicial Watch that “at this time, we are unable to make a release determination on your request within twenty (20) working days” of August 9, which would have been by September 6, 2011. It did not address an earlier Channel 10 report about gifts he received in the 10-year period between his first and second term as prime minister. That report had set off questions about possible ethical lapses.
