My CO is a standup guy, and I understand why he did it,” he added. “A Florida man is really unhappy with the Trump administration’s immigration policies that have caused some kids to be temporarily separated from their parents after crossing the border illegally. And apparently, that means GOP Rep. Brian Mast’s three kids – a girl and two boys, all under the age of 8 – should die for it.” – Brittanny Hughes, Media Research Center A Floridian suspect was arrested by federal law enforcement after he allegedly threatened to kill war hero and U.S. Congressman Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL). The same suspect also threatened to kill the lawmaker’s three minor kids, the oldest...

I can show a brighter pink. I can show a more saturated pink. But I can't show you this pink. Not quite. (I reached out to Anish Kapoor's studio twice for comment; I didn't get any response.) Colour grading this video was a nightmare! I've got as close as I can to the real colour - Stuart gave me a small pot of the pigment to take home! - but it's just not quite there. It's not more saturated, it's not brighter, it's just... a tiny bit more pink, somehow. More about Stuart Semple and his pigments: https://www.culturehustle.com/ [that's his...

If Msgr. Swetland is correct, and it is Church teaching that all Catholics must accept that Islam is a religion of peace, then the Catholic hierarchy will have demonstrated that it does not have the authority or reliability in discerning and transmitting the truth that it claims to have; Papal claims to speak in the name of Christ will be eviscerated; and the Catholic Church as a whole exposed as a fraud.

The M3 Stuart light tank and M4 Sherman main battle tank, both nearly 75 years old, appear to be going back into service with the Paraguayan Army as operational trainers. Although the Paraguayan Army made a brief use of Italian Ansaldo CV33s, the M3 and M3A1s were its first real tanks. A total of 15 M3s were delivered in 1970 in three successive lots as donations from neighbouring Brazil. Paraguay's Stuart tanks first served with Cavalry Regiment N°3 (Regimiento de CaballerÃa N°3: RC3), part of 1st Cavalry Division (División de Caballeria 1: DC1), headquartered at Campo Grande near Paraguay's capital,...

Minnesota Democrat Al Franken was looking to leverage his high-profile criticism of the Comcast/NBCU merger into some cash for his campaign down the road. Franken got national attention with his grilling of NBCU President Jeff Zucker and Comcast Chairman Brian Roberts during last week's Hill hearings on the proposed $30 billion joint venture. He took particular issue with NBC's stand back in the 1990's on sunsetting the financial interest and syndication rules that prevented networks from taking a financial interest in the domestic syndication of their prime time programming. While NBC claimed it would not push independents off the network...

STUART - Young great white sharks might be responsible for Wednesday's deadly attack on a kiteboard surfer, a research scientist who investigated a previous shark fatality says. However, Grant Gilmore said it's too early to say which kind of shark killed Stephen Howard Schafer, who was found with bite wounds about 4 p.m. a quarter-mile off an unguarded beach, just south of Stuart Beach, officials said. Schafer, 38, of Stuart, was rushed to Martin Memorial North Medical Center, where he later died. It was Martin County's first fatal shark attack, according to records going back to 1882.

The Virginia foundation confirmed that it has the "Enslaved Girl" watercolor "on approval." The painting was done by the wife of General Robert E. Lee at her family's Virginia plantation in 1830. "The provenance looks airtight. It would be an important acquisition," Colonial Williamsburg spokesman Jim Bradley told The Associated Press Monday. Laurel Acevedo of Alexander Gallery on Madison Avenue said the rare picture has been with Colonial Williamsburg since last week. "We gave them a good price. We wanted it to go to a public institution," Acevedo said. The portrait went on sale in January for $400,000 together with...

This is an expansion on debg's summary of Adam Gadahn's Al Qaeda videotape, available for download at http://www.lauramansfield.com/j/nnnnmn-1.rm. debg: He spent a long time saying we are ignorantGadahn did indeed spend a long time calling us "ignorant." After Zawahiri's introduction, he also accused us of "rapturously applause" when Israel wages war, of assenting to our governments' "atrocities in Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere in the Muslim world." He also accuses us of "voicing our approval" of the so-called desecration of the Koran at Gitmo, and of our "yellow press and tele-evangelists insulting the 'Prophet' Muhammad [piss be upon him - my...

Some Conspiracies are Real Today, 13 February 2006, is the 318th anniversary of the so-called "Glorious Revolution" -- the coup d'etat that deposed the rightful King of England, HM James II Stuart, and imposed the rule of the Dutch prince William of Orange and his wife Mary upon the United Kingdom. This was not the result of some minor dynastic quibble. There was no doubt in anyone's mind that James II was the rightful king. His deposition was instead the result of a genuine conspiracy between a group of traitors to overthrow the native-born Catholic King of England and award...

This Day In History | Civil War June 12 1862 J.E.B. Stuart rides around the Union army Confederate General J.E.B. General George McClellan spent the spring of 1862 preparing the Union army for a campaign against Richmond up the James Peninsula. By late May, McClellan had inched up the James with relatively light fighting. But...

Freepers, I'm interested in the independent actions of George A. Custer at Little Big Horn and JEB Stuart from Brandy Station to Gettysburg on his "wild ride." 1) On Custer, I'd appreciate Freeper comments on Fox's book, "Archeology, History, and Custer's Last Battle" and "Lakota Noon." I've read the "standards: Stewart, Utley, and other older books. What do you think of Fox's "disintegration" theory? It does fit VERY well with Victor Hanson's model of western-style armies gaining their superiority from drill and discipline more than firepower (per se.) I'm especially interested in the following questions: a) did Custer exceed his...
