Grab your mask and light a scented Dr. Fauci halo candle, for it is time to behold one of California Governor Gavin Newsom’s biggest scandals* ever. Its stench is so thick you can smell it at the White House. You’ve been warned. People actually bought these. pic.twitter.com/5q2KaxLaqj— Victoria Taft, The Adult in the Room, FITF Squad (@VictoriaTaft) May 7, 2023Newsom so badly managed the COVID pandemic that he and his failing-up head of the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency, Julie Su — destined to “serve” in the Biden Administration — gave out $31 billion in COVID unemployment money to...

James Rado, co-creator of the influential hippie-era rock musical Hair, has died at age 90. Publicist Merle Frimark, Rado’s longtime friend, confirmed the news to The New York Times, saying the Broadway legend died on Tuesday in Manhattan from cardio-respiratory arrest. Rado was born in Venice, Calif., but raised in Rochester, N.Y., and Washington, D.C. Following a two-year Navy stint, he moved to New York, studying acting and writing music. The '60s were his breakout decade: In 1963, he landed a part in the Broadway play Marathon ’33 and took a role in The Lion in Winter three years later,...

The Austrian advertising agency behind Burger King Austria's Pride Whopper campaign has apologized following backlash on social media. On Saturday, agency Jung von Matt Donau posted an apology to its LinkedIn page, acknowledging that the agency did not engage with Austria's queer community enough before launching the Pride Whopper — burgers that feature either two sesame-seed top buns or two bottom buns rather than one of each — as part of Burger King Austria's Pride Month campaign. "Time to be proud," read the ad. "We've heard your voices and listened carefully," Jung von Matt Donau wrote on LinkedIn. "The Pride...

The Hill reports Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) on Thursday night said the protests that took place in her state Wednesday demanding an end to her “stay-at-home” order could result in an extension of social distancing measures like it. Whitmer, during an interview with MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, said that the protests are the “kind of irresponsible action that puts us in this situation where we might have to actually think about extending stay-at-home orders, which is supposedly what they are protesting.” WATCH: Gov. Whitmer tells @Maddow that Wednesday’s protest at Michigan’s Capitol is the “kind of irresponsible action that...

A family on vacation in Florida says that they were kicked off their American Airlines flight home to Detroit because fellow passengers were complaining about their body odor. Yossi and Jennie Adler say they were removed from the flight, along with their 1-year-old daughter, from Miami on Wednesday because passengers told the crew they smelled bad. ABC News reports that airline staff escorted the family off the plane and told them to book another flight after several passengers complained. “All of a sudden, as soon as they took us off, they closed the gate and then they said, ‘Sorry, sir,...

A North Carolina jury awarded $50 million to neighbors of a 15,000-hog farm in Eastern North Carolina in a case being closely watched across the country by environmentalists and the hog farm industry. The verdict, revealed late Thursday after a jury deliberated less than two days, is the first to come in a series of federal lawsuits filed against Murphy-Brown/Smithfield Foods, the world’s largest pork producer. In this case decided in a federal courtroom in Raleigh, 10 neighbors contended that industrial-scale hog operations have known for decades that the open-air sewage pits on their properties were the source of noxious,...

It was an unforgettable day at the memorably-named company AnalTech. At approximately 6:30 a.m. Monday, a car crash involving two pickup trucks sent one of the vehicles inside the AnalTech building of Newark, Del., leaving a giant hole. The truck damaged the facility's laboratory and caused an odor to emanate from the cavity, WDEL reports. Accordingly, first responders alerted the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, which brought in a HazMat team to handle any leaks.

We never expected to know this much about Naya Rivera's hygiene habits. The 28-year-old Glee star, who celebrated her birthday on Monday, was a guest host on The View this morning where the songstress shared a rather, um, interesting theory about showering. After moderator Nicolle Wallace defended the fact that she showers three times a day (pre- and post-show, plus once before bed), the Fox beauty chimed in with a headline-making hypothesis. "I think that white people shower a lot more than ethnic," Rivera said as Wallace couldn't help but burst out into a fit of giggles. "I feel like...

A Fridley woman named Stephanie Cannon believes she's the victim of discrimination -- fired because she smelled like cigarette smoke. Cannon, a smoker for 18 years, says she smokes almost a pack a day of Camel Menthols. But when she landed a job in June as a medical receptionist at Park Nicollet Health Services, in the Frauenshuh Cancer Center, she says she followed the hospital's clearly-stated "no smoking" policy. (There is no smoking allowed at any time on the premises.) "There were never any performance issues at all," Cannon insists.

Need Freeper advice! Just got home from vacation and have discovered a horrible odor in the house. I’ve tracked it down to one of the center walls and I’m guessing that either a mouse or a squirrel died between the walls. It’s a two story house so short of tearing down the dry wall I have no idea how to handle this. It stinks bad and is made worse by the 105 degree Texas heat. Any advice would be greatly appreciated; I don’t even know who you would call for something like this!

Mon 4 Sep 2006 Malodour on the dancefloor NIGHTSPOTS are being forced to pump out perfume because the new smoking ban is failing to disguise body odours. Air fresheners and scented oils are being deployed in a bid to banish smells caused by sweaty revellers. Licensed trade chiefs say venues are turning some people away because of poor hygiene, which was covered up before by the smell of cigarette smoke. Kay Bennett, of Edinburgh city centre nightclub Cabaret Voltaire, said: "If you walk into a club with a few hundred people dancing, you notice a smell. It's a combination of...

WASHINGTON (AFP) - US soldiers burned the bodies of two Taliban fighters in Afghanistan because villagers had not claimed them a day after they were killed and the bodies "were bloated and they stank," a US magazine reported, citing soldiers who were present at the incident. Australian television reported on Wednesday that soldiers had burned the bodies of two suspected Taliban militants and afterwards used the incident to insult villagers and try to provoke them into attacking US-led coalition troops. The incident has prompted a US military investigation into the alleged desecration of the corpses, which is in violation of...

GOOD MORNING: Michael Moore met with Harvey Weinstein and Moore says they plan to start working -- now -- on "Fahrenheit 9/11½." "We want to get cameras rolling now and have it ready in two-three years," Moore says. "We want to document and commercialize it. Fifty-one percent of the American people lacked information (in this election) and we want to educate and enlighten them. They weren't told the truth. We're communicators and it's up to us to start doing it now. The official mourning period is over today and there is a silver lining -- George W. Bush is prohibited...
