OAXACA, Mexico — The son of the U.S. consul in southern Oaxaca state was stabbed during an apparent mugging, U.S. Consul Mark Leyes said Monday. Leyes said three assailants beat and stabbed his son, Marcos Leyes Perez, and then took his money after he left a disco in Oaxaca City at about 1 a.m. Sunday. Leyes said his son, whose liver was punctured, was the victim of a mugging and his assailants probably did not know he was the son of the U.S. consul. LOGANVILLE, Ga. -- Police responding to reports of a stabbing say they've found four young children and a man dead inside a home in an Atlanta suburb. Gwinnett County police said another child was taken to a hospital with injuries they describe as serious. Authorities have detained a woman police describe as the mother. No charges have been announced. Police said in a brief statement that the bodies were found early Thursday morning in Loganville. Police described the crime as horrendous. Just hours after she was arrested and accused of fatally stabbing her father, Christina Nicassio repeatedly rushed headfirst at a cell wall in the Allegheny County Jail. Austin police say they’re assisting university police at 2101 Speedway, which is near Gregory Gym. Austin-Travis County EMS says they are responding to reports of multiple people stabbed.
