ATLANTA -- A man was injured in a fight outside the Georgia Dome and taken to nearby Grady Hospital following Atlanta's loss to San Francisco in the NFC title game. According to a report by Channel 2 Action News in Atlanta, a 49ers fan stabbed a Falcons fan in the neck with a knife. Georgia Dome spokesman Jason Kirksey emailed a statement to The Associated Press Sunday saying an altercation occurred in a parking lot outside the dome at 6:40 p.m.

A Fort Lauderdale man stabbed an apartment visitor in the back and forced the bleeding victim to strip and get into a bathtub, police said. Lorenzo Jones, 26, is charged with attempted felony murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment and aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony. He was ordered held without bond in Broward County's Main Jail on Wednesday during his first appearance court hearing.

A Cape Breton teenager found guilty of second-degree murder for stabbing his girlfriend more than 100 times has been sentenced as an adult to life in prison. Melvin Skeete Jr., who was 16 years old at the time of the incident, was sentenced Monday in Nova Scotia Youth Court to life in prison with no chance of parole until Dec. 3, 2017.

GARDENDALE, Ala. – Police say an Alabama pastor shot and killed his wife and wounded their 18-year-old daughter before stabbing himself in their home. Authorities say the Rev. Terry Greer is being charged with murder in the killing of 52-year-old Lisa Greer and attempted murder in the wounding of Suzanna Greer, a University of South Alabama student. Greer remains hospitalized with what police say are self-inflicted knife wounds. His wife died early Friday after being shot on Thursday. Police say the daughter took the gun from her father and escaped.

Waianae, Hawaii - Emergency Medical Services officials say a 19-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition after a stabbing at Waianae High School Friday. Honolulu police responded just before 12:30 p.m. The Department of Education says two students, both 19-year-old men, got into an altercation during class time right before lunch. They were outside near the basketball court. The suspect stabbed the victim with a pocketknife, according to the DOE. The victim suffered lacerations and taken to Queen's Medical Center.

An Oak Brook doctor who was stabbed in the neck and face during an attempted holdup at a Gold Coast restaurant in November is suing his alleged attacker along with the restaurant and hotel that houses it. Mir Shah says he was violently attacked and stabbed several times by Jimmy Harris in the bathroom of the Westin’s The Grill on the Alley on Nov. 17, according to a lawsuit filed Monday in Cook County Circuit Court. The restaurant’s bartender was also injured when he chased Harris, who cut him with a knife, police said.

A 30-year-old Hallandale Beach man who claimed to be Satan was arrested Sunday and accused of stabbing one man and threatening four other people, including a pregnant woman, Hollywood Police said. Michael Anthony Thomas is charged with 13 counts that include aggravated battery with a weapon causing bodily harm, false imprisonment, resisting arrest and threatening law enforcement officers, Broward Jail records show.

A 27-year-old Maryland woman has been arrested and charged with stabbing her half-brother in the neck with a serving fork following an argument over Thanksgiving dinner Thursday, police said. Annapolis police were called to an apartment on Madison Street where they found 23-year-old Deonte Wallace in the parking lot with two stab wounds.

'A 25-year-old British man who was working as a football coach in the US has been stabbed to death in New York. Mike Jones, originally of Tarleton, Lancashire, was attacked in Manhattan in the early hours of Sunday, the New York Police Department (NYPD) said. A thug followed a stranger into a Queens deli and repeatedly stabbed him in the buttocks, cops said today. The assault, seen on shocking surveillance footage, occurred inside the store on 63rd Road in Rego Park around 5:45 p.m. Sunday. The video shows the thug – wearing a white T-shirt, grey sweat pants and a black cap – enter the store before quickly pouncing on his unsuspecting victim and violently stabbing him in the buttocks several times before bolting from the store.

One man was killed and two others injured in a triple stabbing incident that started in the Social Security offices at Dudley Square and apparently spread over several blocks today, police said. An argument began in the Social Security office and moved out into the parking lot, where the stabbings took place. Police officers working details at the set for the Sandra Bullock film “The Heat” two blocks away chased down a suspect, who is in custody, Police Superintendent William Evans said.

A Deltona man confronted his wife about her cheating and was stabbed in the arm with a kitchen knife, investigating deputies said. Maciej Nowicki, 72, suffered a 3/4-inch puncture in his left forearm. His wife, Brygida Sheffler, 27, of Poland, a waitress at the Deltona Inn, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery on a person older than 65. Deputies arriving at the Old Titusville Road home in Deltona found Nowicki with a large amount of blood pouring out of the wound on his forearm. Police in the US have arrested two teenagers in connection with the murder of a Domino's Pizza worker who was stabbed 50 times and bludgeoned as she delivered an order to them. The stabbing took place on Thursday evening as the victim, 27-year-old mother-of-one Elizabeth Hutcheson, was delivering pizza to an address in the small city of Cedartown in Georgia.

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - A citizen with a gun stopped a knife wielding man as he began stabbing people Thursday evening at the downtown Salt Lake City Smith's store. BALTIMORE (AP) -- A mother managed to slip a long kitchen knife past security at a Baltimore social services building and used it to stab her infant daughter in the face and neck Tuesday, police said. The 8-month-old baby was stabbed several times, but was listed in good condition at Johns Hopkins Children's Center and was expected to survive, Police Det. Donny Moses said. "The baby should be OK," Moses said. The mother was admitted to an area hospital for a mental health evaluation, police said.
