A Randolph man accused of not telling the truth about his dealings with a wanted murder suspect is now the third person arrested in connection with the slaying of a young woman found bound and burned in Bridgewater last month. Part-time DeKalb County magistrate Gary Leshaw announced Thursday that he is running for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Zell Miller. The 51-year-old Leshaw, who has spent 27 years doing public-interest law, is the second Democrat to formally announce for the race. State Sen. ATLANTA - State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond would consider running for the U.S. Senate if Attorney General Thurbert Baker balks at the chance.
