News Thursday September 19, 2002 Peobody dorm is gone with the wind LORI WOOTEN September 18, 2002 A campus debate that has lasted three years and that has invoked timeless racial tensions may soon end, as administrators finalize plans to rename Confederate Memorial Hall. In its new life, the Peabody dormitory will be called simply Memorial Hall. Vanderbilt's Student Government Association passed a resolution three years ago to change the name of the facility.
