Carrie Jean Melvin and her boyfriend were walking through their Hollywood neighborhood on their way to get some food when someone walked up behind them, aimed a shotgun at her head and pulled the trigger. MILWAUKEE — Shortly before sunrise, police said a stolen van smashed through the doors of the Bouchard’s Sporting Goods store near North Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive. The burglars were unaware the owner was sleeping inside. Police said he greeted them with gunfire. A short time after the shooting, three guys showed up at the emergency room at Columbia St. Mary's. One of them had been shot multiple times. Police arrested all three of them.

Austin police say a man was caught on video sexually assaulting a woman outside a bar on 6th Street. He is in jail. It's possible another man may be charged as an accomplice. Austin police say on Sunday at 10 a.m., a witness got video that clearly shows 34-year-old Darius Maxwell sexually assaulting a woman. She was lying in the doorway of the Lit Lounge and was unconscious. The witness says another man appeared to serve as a look out while Maxwell committed the assault.

FAIRFIELD —Two adults and two youths have been cited after an incident Tuesday evening at the Fairfield Aquatic Center. Fairfield police declined to discuss the incident on camera, but according to a report obtained by WLWT, the incident started when aquatic center employees asked some children to leave the pool because of their behavior. Two teenagers have been charged in the Thursday killing of a Roaring Spring, Pa., woman, according to Pennsylvania state police in Bedford County. Many cell phones were bought with stolen identities from Minnesotans and sold for profits of up to 1,000 percent in places like China, according to federal investigators. Twenty people were involved in the sale of potentially tens of thousands of stolen phones, which could be worth tens of millions of dollars, according to officials. Some of the suspects appear to have a criminal history involving; theft, assault and using a fake name.
