The YouTube account responsible for exposing stolen valor is one of the latest casualties of Big Tech’s censorship campaign. The Big Tech Giant banned the veteran and YouTuber who helped break the story about Native American activist Nathan Phillips being a refrigerator repairman who never left the United States, and not a “Recon Ranger” who served in Vietnam. Don Shipley’s YouTube account “Buds131” was banned by the platform citing years old videos, but Shipley considers the act to be retribution for his recent videos revealing that Phillips was a refrigerator repairman who routinely went AWOL, and not a Vietnam veteran....

YouTube last week deplatformed a YouTube channel that specialized in exposing Stolen Valor cases. "Stolen Valor," of course, refers to cases where dishonorable pretenders are caught making fraudulent claims of military honors they didn't earn. Retired Navy Seal Don Shipley has made it his life's mission to expose these shameless charlatans. His channel had 232,806 subscribers at the time it was taken down and had been in operation since around 2008. He told PJ Media that he thinks his channel was taken down because he had "outed Nathan Phillips," who had "masqueraded as a Vietnam Vet."

A Catonsville letter carrier who worked for the postal service for more than two decades stole more than 20,000 pieces of mail, according to federal authorities. Jeffrey L. Shipley is accused of pilfering checks and money orders. He is accused of filching passports and prescription medication. He is accused of pilfering credit cards and Mother's Day cards. He is even accused of stealing furniture from the United States Postal Service. Shipley was charged in federal court last week with one count each of mail theft and delaying the mail. Neither Shipley nor his attorney could immediately be reached for comment...

Oral arguments were heard yesterday in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in Louisiana in the case of United States of America vs. John Thomas Shipley, seeking to overturn the former FBI agent’s convictions in 2010 for dealing firearms without a license. Shipley, who has already served his sentenced time in prison a halfway house, is appealing in order to clear his name. Shipley first came to this column’s attention when a gun he sold to a former El Paso County Sheriff’s Deputy turned up at a Mexican crime scene. It soon became evident from a...

FBI John Shipley gun trafficking Gun control gun rights Advertisement Accompanied by his parents and wife, former FBI agent John Shipley, convicted of illegal gun dealing, was transported to a halfway house facility in El Paso, Texas, earlier this month to complete the remainder of his sentenced incarceration, a source close to the case told Gun Rights Examiner this weekend. “There are a lot of different offenders including gang members and sex offenders,” the source revealed. “John was able to see a counselor to have the rules explained and to be evaluated,” the source reported. “He has to attend certain...

Copies of letters received this week by Gun Rights Examiner from a source close to the case of John Shipley, the FBI agent convicted of illegal gun dealing who has been the subject of a series of exclusive recent reports in this column, show that House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa and Senate Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Charles Grassley were approached by Shipley’s father in September, 2011, and again in February of this year, with a request to investigate “egregious criminal conduct by members of the ATF and DOJ” as evidenced in his son’s case. “Enclosed...

An FBI agent’s conviction for illegally dealing in firearms was greatly influenced by the introduction of prejudicial statements and materials, documents obtained and analyzed by Gun Rights Examiner over the past few days reveal. John Shipley, found guilty in April, 2010, has insisted throughout his prosecution and incarceration that he was instead an active and enthusiastic collector who bought and sold guns in accordance with federal firearms regulations recognizing such activities as legal. Courtroom transcripts, reported statements and irrelevant exhibits designed to sway jurors with emotion, rather than evidence, appear to bolster his contention, especially when compared to what the...

A copy of the “Brief of Defendant-Appellant” in the case of United States v. John Thomas Shipley has now been provided to Gun Rights Examiner by a source close to the former FBI agent convicted of dealing firearms without a license in April of last year. The brief raises several points of contention that are made all the more compelling in light of revelations reported in this column last week that a request for a 30-day extension by the defense after the government admitted to losing a full day’s testimony under highly mysterious circumstances. Among the issues the defense calls...

New York ON A THURSDAY they had the book party. It was a simple affair: just family, friends, coworkers, and journalists. They came to Ambassador Joseph Wilson's house, nestled in the ritzy Palisades neighborhood of Northwest Washington, to celebrate the release of his first book, The Politics of Truth. One thing Joe Wilson keeps track of is his "Notoriety Quotient," or the amount of attention he receives from the media. And that Thursday it seemed to be on the rise. For the past week The Politics of Truth was mentioned in the same breath as Ron Suskind's The Price of...
