The YouTube account responsible for exposing stolen valor is one of the latest casualties of Big Tech’s censorship campaign.
The Big Tech Giant banned the veteran and YouTuber who helped break the story about Native American activist Nathan Phillips being a refrigerator repairman who never left the United States, and not a “Recon Ranger” who served in Vietnam.
Don Shipley’s YouTube account “Buds131” was banned by the platform citing years old videos, but Shipley considers the act to be retribution for his recent videos revealing that Phillips was a refrigerator repairman who routinely went AWOL, and not a Vietnam veteran.
Shipley used his YouTube channel to expose stolen valor in the United States military.

It was largely because of Shipley and others like him that led mainstream media outlets, including the Washington Post, to amend their stories about Phillips to specifically state that he was not a Vietnam veteran.

From what I read he was a Vietnam Era veteran - fixing refrigerators at a Marine base in the US.
And of course the FCC or the ACLU does nothing about this even though Google which owns Youtube is a publicly traded public communications company.

We used to call guys like that “PX Rangers”; go to the PX, buy a bunch of fruit salad (medals) and badges, put ‘em on your class A’s and get busted. Had a young guy in my basic training class that decided he was a command sergeant major after graduation from basic. He made it as far as the El Paso airport before he was picked up by the MPs. Got a court martial, bad conduct discharge and a short stay at Ft. Leavenworth.

Why haven't the fakers had their sites removed?. They broke the law if they are wearing a uniform for financial gain.

Yes, Don as a former SEAL medic, has stopped holding his training course for those who want to get into the SEALs and need to make it through BUDs. Don specializes in nailing any and all SEAL imposters, but has access to mil personnel files in other areas, as well.
Stolen Valor clowns are mentally ill people,true losers who think nothing of bypassing the Real path to Spec Forces (in any service, for that matter, USAF, Army Rangers, Delta, Marine Recon, and of course SEALs. Truly appalling people who in some cases have completely fooled local political office holders and wormed their way into grifting a job or contract out of them. Shame.
BTW- there is still, on youtube, a completely bogus, exposed fake SEAL who has a youtube page with all kinds of made up crap about Don. The clown doubles down on his totally FAKE military service.
Most warrior veterans would want military justice meted out to these frauds— to honor the true warriors who were their buddies and didn’t come back. That is— long prison sentence and large confiscatory fines— public humiliation. Of course, were this 1800’s just take them out and hang them— don’t deserve a firing squad.
You are referring to the tom-tom fakir “Native American” former “Vietnam Times” fake combat veteran— who harassed the kids from Covington Catholic School on the Mall/Lincoln Memorial in D.C.—correct? In contrast, Don is conversational, factual and absolutely sure of the service record of the fake claimant, and knows all the BS claims they try to make, like “my service and missions were all classified” crapola.
When Don Shipley was younger, he and his wife and his SEAL retired buddies would work together to personally encounter the fraudster SEAL claimants— at the work site, and in public settings. Filmed it all, including the weasels backing down— or in rare foolish moments physically threatening SEALs— not terribly out of shape ones— and they were “disciplined”.
A more recent encounter with a particularly blatantly false liar — who claimed to have “trained” Marcus Luttrell (the “Lone Survivor” true survivor and writer of his horrific saga— only one of his team to make it out of Afghan). In one filmed telephone exchange, Don questioned this complete jackass about “knowing and training” Luttrell. Don called Luttrell direct on his cell phone in the video and then patched him direct to the fake clown— and taped the entire conversation— which finished with Luttrell calling the dude a “f’n liar who insults the memory of his SEAL team’s honor and sacrifice”, and told the guy, if he ever repeats any more BS lies about him (Luttrell), that he would find him, and beat his a@@ to within an inch of his life... and made a promise to do so— all on youtube. It was “confrontational” but people who know special warfare people understand what they went through in training and in actual operations. Darn serious stuff. Not for soy boy man tits wannabees running for county commissioner.
youtube is also involved with the Chinese Communist “Social Credit Progrom”. This is just practice foe their next upgrade.
