On Wednesday, a judge refused to accept a guilty plea from a man accused of beheading a co-worker in 2014. Judge Lori Walkley listened to testimony all day last Friday, as psychologists on both sides argued over Alton Nolen's mental competency. Wednesday, Walkley announced her decision not to accept Nolen's guilty plea. She worried accepting it would not survive an appeal. "I've given it a great deal of thought and a great deal of prayer," Walkley told the courtroom Wednesday. "Because, I thought I could use divine intervention." She said she did not want the victims and their families to...

“City officials said they placed the firefighter depicted in the video on administrative leave. But officials say the firefighter, who has not been identified, retired before they could take other disciplinary action.” Disciplinary action? Why? Is Bowling Green, Kentucky under the Sharia? Is burning the Qur’an illegal in Bowling Green, Kentucky? I’m not in favor of burning books. I’d rather that non-Muslims read the Qur’an and know what is in it than burn it. But burning the Qur’an is not illegal in the United States. There is no grounds for disciplinary action against this firefighter. “The incident was part of...

Despite "heroic" promises to accept 160,000 Syrian refugees, European Union member states have only accepted 6,000 to date while the US alone has already admitted 8,000 of the 10,000 promised. So in light of recent terrorist attacks this begs the question is the U.S. being honorable or just dumb? According to Nayla Rush of the Center for Immigration Studies the answer might just be the latter (although she's far more polite than we are): excerpt at source Given the inability to properly vet refugees, even the New York Times has questioned Obama's logic after a number of refugees have been...

How does a Somali get elected to Minnesota’s state legislature? Because she’s from “Little Somalia,” Minneapolis, home to the largest Somali community in America. So it should come as not surprise that a Somali activist unseated one of the longest-serving members of the state legislature earlier this year in Minneapolis. Ilhan Omar defeated Rep. Phyllis Kahn who was in the legislature for 22 terms (44 years). Omar could be the first Somali in America to be elected to any state legislature if she wins in November. Minneapolis is recruiting ground for young terrorists. At least 36 Somali men from Minnesota...

The Iranian government is relying more and more on mass executions in order to control its citizens. Iranian officials used to keep their executions secret. However, over the last year since the nuclear agreement was reached, Iranian authorities have been showing no fear or concern when it comes to publicly announcing that they have mass-executed a group of people. Iran is ranked the first in the world, followed by China, when it comes to hanging people. The mullahs have started the month August by mass executing at least 25 people who are from a religious minority. Not only did Iran...

When Muslim Philadelphia resident Nadia Kamal stepped into an Advance America Cash Advance center wearing a hijab, she was told to remove it because, as the sign below says, hats and sunglasses were not allowed in the facility. According to the store’s employees, this policy was instituted in response to criminals trying rob the place while their faces were covered. However, this did not matter to Kamal, who felt “hurt” that the employees wanted her to violate Islamic law. “I’m in a public place … I cannot do that,” she told them before she stormed out of the facility and...

The mayor of Lille, in northeast France, has just announced the cancellation of La Braderie, the largest flea market in Europe, with 10,000 exhibitors and, last year, 2.5 million visitors. Martine Aubry, the mayor, and a Socialist stalwart, said that the safety of visitors could not be assured – “there are risks we cannot reduce.” By this she meant, of course, risks of an attack by Muslim terrorists. Only once before, during the goose-stepping German occupation, has La Braderie ever been called off. The cancellation of this gigantic event is a severe economic blow to those exhibitors from all over...

Thirty-five-year-old Nasir Hussain, of Pakistan’s Punjab province, has been arrested for the double murders of his sisters, 22-year-old Kosar and 28-year-old Gulzar Bibi, in the latest “honor killing” case. Hussain shot his sisters because they married the men of their choice, for love. The murders were committed on July 29, just days after “a British woman of Pakistani origin was allegedly killed by her father and former husband for marrying her second husband against her parents’ wishes.” In another incident, a social media star was strangled by her brother after exposing an Islamic cleric’s violations of Sharia law, including sexual...

Islam is a deadly totalitarian political system masquerading as a religion. Few in the West know this and/or are willing to admit it. Being honest about this doesn't mean hating Muslims. It means understanding the religion and why it is dangerous to the rights and freedoms and way of life in the West, and why that danger probably isn't going to go away. The last Pope seems to have understood this. At Asia Times, Spengler writes:

Following the introduction of civil partnerships, Muslim representatives in Italy are now demanding the legalisation of polygamy. Responding to a new law allowing same sex couples to enter civil unions, Hamza Piccardo argued that if gay relationships, which Muslims disagree with, are a civil right then Italians must accept polygamy as a civil right too. The founder of the Union of Islamic Communities and Organisations (UCOII) in Italy took to Facebook to claim polygamy is a “civil right” and that Italy would benefit from the large number of Muslim births it would promote.

Belgian police have launched a manhunt for a teenager after footage emerged of him calling for “the murder of all Christians”. The video shows the 15-year-old, who has not been named, in Verviers and, in Arabic, declaring, “Oh Allah, destroy the odious Christians. Oh Allah kill them all.” The boy is filmed on a French website saying, “Don’t spare any of them.” The film was shot in Verviers, the scene of a successful anti-terrorism operation last year. Police said the boy has been identified and is on a list of radicalised persons, but did not disclose his name. A source...

Zeze Rwasama's Idaho nonprofit gets $900 a head to meet Syrian refugees at the airport and help them adjust to their new lives in America, but some critics say the rush for federal tax dollars could put local communities at risk. ADVERTISEMENT As director of the College of Southern Idaho Refugee Center, Rwasama is part of a broad network of contractors, faith-based organizations and charities working with the State Department to screen, transport and assimilate U.S.-bound refugees. They have played a vital role in bringing nearly 10,000 Syrian refugees to the U.S. over the last 12 months, a number slated...

Several associations of judges in Germany have proposed a headscarf ban for judges and trainee lawyers, claiming that this is a necessary measure if neutrality is to be upheld in court. At present, the German Constitution does not ban citizens from wearing religious symbols. Only in Berlin does a ban exist for employees of city authorities. But two judicial organizations — the Association of German Administrative Judges and the German Association of Judges — as well as the Ministers for Justice in the states of Baden-Württemberg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, are suggesting that judges and junior lawyers should be prevented from...

The Department of Motor Vehicles recently approved a very pro-terrorist, pro-ISIS personal license plate, while rejecting another one that they say goes too far against Islam. The phrase one Muslim couple got government approval to display on their personal license plate should have you shaking your head and thoroughly pissed off, especially after you see what another American man was denied.

WOMEN in Saudi Arabia have been banned from the American chain Dunkin' Donuts – unless they are accompanied by a man. Signs have been daubed on doors to the shops in the capital Riyadh saying "unescorted women" are not allowed inside. Dunkin' Donuts is famous for its sugary treats and the American chain has outlets across the world. Western eateries McDonald's and Pizza Hut have separate entrances for men and women who are also seated apart once inside.
