  • Supreme Court Refusal Protects Illegal Immigrants' "Right to Vote"

Yet another rejection of constitutional principles by the Supreme Court has been overlooked in the furor over the pro-Obamacare and same-sex marriage decisions. This time, it’s not what the justices said, but what they refused to say that is noteworthy. Reuters reports that the high court’s refusal to hear an appeal of the decision in the case of Kobach, et al. v. Election Assistance Commission, et al, had the effect of upholding the ruling handed down last November by the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.

PLEASE take a page from the Marxist/Alinsky-ites and BURN A RAINBOW FLAG this Saturday in protest of the SCOTUS decision. Invite the press if you like but, for me, I will find and burn a rainbow flag and try my best to upload the video and broadcast the same to my contacts (I avoid...

[MUST WATCH VIDEO[ No matter how you feel about gay marriage, can’t we at least agree that little kids should not be used as props for cheap propaganda stunts? These Australian kids say that you should be able to “marry who you love.” First of all, who cares what kids think? These are very adult-oriented questions and children have neither the life experience nor the intellectual capacity to give a rational response. By saying you should be able to “marry who you love” are they saying that a father can marry his daughter or a brother his sister? Or how...

Do We the People Need an Article V Convention of the States in the Aftermath of Obergefell? The short answer to the title question would seem to be: Very likely YES. And that for a number of reasons. First, Congress has been utterly derelict in executing its constitutional powers designed to constrain excesses emanating from the Supreme Court. There are three constitutional legislative “checks” on SCOTUS — or any other federal court. Other than the Article III Supreme Court, Congress is the creator of all the other federal courts — and all are firmly within its lawful legislative power in...

I’ve seen that question a lot lately, as people have wondered on social media why certain Catholic Supreme Court Justices—along with prominent Catholic politicians—haven’t yet been publicly excommunicated, either for their position on abortion or their stance on same-sex marriage.Good question. I have no idea. That’s above my pay grade. Public excommunication, at any rate, seems to be a relatively rare phenomenon. But I was curious about just whom the Church had excommunicated. This, of course, is why God made Wikipedia. The good people at Wikipedia have compiled a list of recent formal excommunications, which might be of interest:21st century  Members of...

Ted Cruz continued his verbal assault on last week’s historic Supreme Court decisions on Monday, saying the justices who ruled in favor of Obamacare and gay marriage “rewrote the Constitution.” “They joined a team, they put on bright-blue Obama jerseys and they rewrote the law,” the U.S. senator from Texas told Yahoo News’ Katie Couric during a live sit-down interview from Yahoo’s New York City studios. “Those decisions are a threat to our democracy.” Cruz slammed Chief Justice John Roberts, who wrote the majority opinion in the Obamacare case on behalf of what the 2016 Republican presidential hopeful called “five...

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)BILLINGS - Given the U.S. Supreme Court's recent ruling that same-sex marriage is legal in all 50 states, a Lockwood family is now looking to solidify rights of its own. We first told you about the Colliers in January of 2015 when the polygamist family appeared on an episode of the TLC show, "Sister Wives."The polyamorous movement is a national push to allow marriage between multiple partners. Nathan Collier and his two wives, Vicki and Christine, said Tuesday that they are simply looking for equality. Nathan is legally married to Vicki, but also wants to legally wed Christine. FULL TITLE: In Confirmation Hearings, Elena Kagan Stated “There Is No Federal Constitutional Right to Same-Sex Marriage”... Obama and Shrillary aren’t the only ones to “evolve” rather dramatically regarding the federal desecration of marriage on behalf of the radical homosexual agenda. Legal Insurrection recalls testimony by leftist Supreme Court Injustice Elena Kagan during her confirmation hearings. This is so straightforward, you had to know she didn’t mean it: Senator John Cornyn: Do you believe that there is a federal constitutional right to samesex marriage? Kagan: There is no federal constitutional right to same-sex marriage.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says there's not much Congress can do in the wake of the ruling by the Supreme Court legalizing gay marriage. In an interview Tuesday night on Kentucky television station WDRB, McConnell restated that he still holds to the traditional view of marriage. "I’ve always felt that marriage is between one man and one woman and the Supreme Court has held otherwise. That’s the law of the land," the Kentucky Republican said. When he was asked if there is anything Congress can do, he answered: "I don’t think so. I think the courts have pretty well...

Most baby boomers will remember the familiar adage: “those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.” Today many American classrooms have reduced teaching history to nothing more than the memorization of dates and characters, which are soon forgotten. In addition to this, revisionists have focused on our national sins and twisted or eliminated our glory. Both have done a huge disservice to our children and our country. As a consequence, our children have never learned that the Pilgrims seeking religious freedom risked their very lives to come to this land when it was uncivilized and inhospitable. Their plight was...

The Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage settled little. It merely launched a bigger struggle over the definition of marriage. Now, resistance to Obergefell v. Hodges will join Roe v. Wade in becoming another, long-tailed comet moving across the socio-political skies of America. A third, landmark Supreme Court initiative waits over the horizon. It will involve the 2nd Amendment. Perhaps not soon, but coming. Following Obergefell v. Hodges, much discussion now centers on the potential loss of tax-exempt status to churches that resist. Same-sex marriage zealots will look for opportunities to cement the Court’s decision by forcing churches, through the...

Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance: the five stages of grief.  As a Christian, I’ve gone through these over the last few years, and now I’ve arrived at acceptance. I denied that God could remove His hand from our blessed country, America; that divorce among Christians was just as prevalent as the non-religious.  I denied that our youth were ever more questioning Christian teaching and doctrine, and were leaving the faith of their parents in droves.  I denied that the country was becoming more and more deaf to our 24/7 obsession with preaching the Gospel.  I denied that the church was...

I loved reading the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie books to my daughter. The somewhat Aesopian theme is that if you give the mouse what it wants – a cookie – it will just want more: a glass of milk, a straw, etc. The story came to mind last week, a week that began with many vowing to inter the Confederate flag and that ended with the Supreme Court mandating that there is a constitutional right to same-sex marriage. As far as culture-war victories go, the flag news was big, but the marriage ruling was tantamount to VE...

In a commonsense decision, the Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal of a case that decided that people registering to vote in federal election don't have to prove their citizenship. That means that people registering to vote won't be bullied into proving citizenship, which now seems to be an irrelevant criterion for voting. “I am very pleased, obviously,” said Dolores Furtado, president of the Kansas chapter of the League of Women Voters. “It’s a good feeling because we’re truly trying to help” people get registered to vote. Furtado said the league’s main interest is in increasing participation in the...

NASHVILLE -- Nearly half of Tennessee's House Republican Caucus met "in a state of shock" Tuesday to discuss whether to hold a special legislative session in response to last week's U.S. Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage. They discussed topics such as what, if anything, state lawmakers can or should do in areas like protecting clergy who refuse to perform same-sex ceremonies because it would violate their religious beliefs. At least 33 of the most conservative members of the 73-member GOP Caucus packed into a conference room in Republican House Speaker Beth Harwell's office for more than an hour. They...

Hello everybody. The Supreme Court ruling in favor of same sex marriage occurred June 26, 2015. I do not agree with it. I have to say, the last few days, I have been kinda bummed out about it. I have thought and prayed much about it. Why is that? Oh, the bigoted, hateful guy didn't get his way? He hates gay people so much, he's sad that the Court didn't rule his way. Is that it? Easy. Let's all stop being armchair psychologists, alright. I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth, and in Jesus Christ,...

MOREHEAD, Ky. - Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis shut her blinds at work Tuesday to block the view of rainbow-clad protesters outside. They carried flowers and flags and signs saying "you don't own marriage." They chanted "do your job." Moments later, she told a lesbian couple who walked in asking for a license to try another county. Davis is among a handful of public officials across the Bible Belt so repulsed by the thought of enabling a same-sex marriage that they are defying the U.S. Supreme Court and refusing to issue a license to anyone, gay or straight. President Obama said Tuesday he is not letting his foot off the gas pedal following a string of victories some are calling his "best week ever." Obama said he plans to harness momentum from wins at the Supreme Court and in Congress to complete the unfinished business left on his agenda. “The list is long,” Obama said during a press conference with Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff. “We are going to squeeze every last ounce of progress that we can make as long as I have the privilege of holding this office.” Although he acknowledged some items would be “left undone,”...
