The diocese of San Jose is saying its LGBT ministry will not "elaborate" on Church teaching on "sexual morality, conscience, and personal sin," while claiming that gay people can't change their sexual orientation. The document "Guidelines for the Catholic LGBT Ministry Council" bears the name of Bp. Patrick J. McGrath and is the guide by which Catholic parishes are to deal with LGBT people. It maintains from the outset that the guidelines "do not presume any particular social or psychological analysis of sexuality in our society, except for a generally accepted premise that individuals do not choose and cannot change...

San Jose, Calif. -- Fourteen individuals who attended the Donald J. Trump presidential campaign rally on June 2, 2016, in San Jose, Calif., filed a class action lawsuit this morning against the City of San Jose, its mayor, Sam Liccardo, its chief of police, Edgardo Garcia, certain named individual rioter defendants, and 38 yet-unknown "Doe" defendants, alleging that the Defendants created a dangerous situation for all Trump Rally attendees that caused plaintiffs to be exposed to brutal assault, intimidation, false imprisonment, and threats by an angry mob of hundreds of anti-Trump protesters. “Law-abiding citizens leaving the Trump rally were victimized...

San Francisco has the unfortunate honor of appearing in a new propaganda video for the Islamic State released Sunday, no doubt to coincide with the city’s massive Pride celebration, since persecution of LGBT people is a hallmark of deranged fundamentalists. Several alleged terrorists appear on screen to praise Omar Mateen, the Orlando gay nightclub shooter, and Larossi Abballa, the man who attacked a French police officer and his family June 13, the day after the Orlando shooting. The trio reportedly encourages more attacks in the U.S. and Europe, and this is when the footage of San Francisco starts to roll...

After escaping from authorities on two separate occasions, U.S. fugitive John Wesley Saatio won’t have a third chance to run free in Costa Rica. Costa Rican Security Minister Gustavo Mata announced that Saatio will be extradited Saturday when authorities will put him on a commercial flight out of Juan Santamaría International Airport accompanied by U.S. Marshals. Saatio was recaptured Tuesday in Desamparados, south of San José, after escaping through a ventilation duct in the immigration detention center in Hatillo where he had been held since June 3. The 35-year-old fugitive from Michigan was initially aprehended by police in the popular...

Violence and protests are features of Donald Trump’s 2016 Republican presidential primary campaign. His rally in San Jose, California, on Thursday did not deviate from this script. As reported by the Associated Press, protesters clashed with Donald Trump supporters outside of the San Jose Convention Center. Eggs were thrown at several of Trump’s foot soldiers by protesters. There were also reports of physical altercations between the two camps. Right-wing websites such as Fox News, Breitbart and others are sounding cries of alarm and panic over the San Jose protests. Such shrill voices will only become louder and more hysterical as...

Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D., Ill.) has paid his wife and daughters hundreds of thousands of dollars from his campaign’s coffer since 2010, according to campaign finance data. Gutierrez, who was first elected to Congress in 1993, brought his wife, Soraida Gutierrez, onto his campaign’s payroll six years ago to act as his office manager, treasurer, and fundraiser. Soraida Gutierrez was a registered lobbyist in the state of Illinois from 2003 to 2009 before joining Gutierrez for Congress. She has since raked in more than $300,000 for her work on behalf of the committee while being the top recipient of campaign...

Many among us have been astonished by this presidential campaign. There has been racism, sexism, xenophobia, all manner of intolerance. And it is not only stunning, it is dangerous. Slandering an entire community of people by calling them "rapists." Urging bans on Muslims entering or re-entering the United States, demonizing whole communities of immigrants. Mocking disabled people. Crude sexism.

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today delivered a speech on the Senate floor, emphasizing the need to address the growing threat of radical Islamic terrorism in the wake of the horrific act of terror in Orlando last weekend. Sen. Cruz specifically called on Congress to take up and pass his Expatriate Terrorist Act (ETA) and Terrorist Refugee Infiltration Prevention Act (TRIPA) in order to better secure our country.

One of the top Florida Republicans running for Marco Rubio's Senate seat announced Friday he's dropping out of the race, fueling speculation that Rubio himself is preparing to reverse course and seek re-election to the seat. Rep. David Jolly, who indicated earlier this week he was getting ready to bow out, confirmed Friday he will seek re-election to the House. "It's clear the opportunity to change Washington, to do right by my community, is to simply ask for the opportunity to keep doing my job," he said in a statement. The move comes as party elders increase pressure on Rubio...

On Thursday Senator Ted Cruz took to the Senate floor to address the Islamic terrorist attack in Orlando. The speech he gave should be the standard Republican response to the left’s deflection towards gun-control instead of addressing the real issue at hand: defeating radical Islamic terrorism.

Mayor Sam Liccardo has called South Hall, the city convention center’s oversized blue-striped tent in the heart of downtown, a “dog.” Liccardo also is a loyal Democrat and Hillary Clinton supporter. When Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump came to town for a campaign rally, did that factor into the city offering up the eyesore to Trump? That doesn’t appear to be the case. Dave Costain, chief operating officer of Team San Jose, the nonprofit that runs the city-owned McEnery Convention Center, was reluctant to discuss the event booking, citing a confidentiality agreement. But he eventually offered this: “South Hall was...

As we watch the daily media coverage of the presidential campaigns, Americans should shake our heads in shame: Shame in knowing that a presidential candidate has resorted to the use of racism as his main platform, in order to fuel the fears and hatred among his supporters.

SAN JOSE (KRON) — Officers arrested a 24-year-old man Friday after they had released a photo of him, along with others, asking the public to help identify suspects connected to assaults that happened during a rally for Donald Trump in San Jose last week. Officers arrested San Jose resident Anthony Yi on suspicion of robbery, assault and battery, according to police. The arrest stems from three separate incidents in which Yi allegedly robbed one victim and then assaulted two other people at the rally, police said. The rally, which drew hundreds of protestors, occurred on June 2 outside the San...

A coalition of civil rights groups planned to hold an event Monday attacking Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for his rhetoric against Mexicans and Muslims, but cancelled it after 50 people were killed and at least 53 more wounded in a reported Islamic terrorist attack Sunday. The event was supposed to include leaders from several top rights groups including National Council of La Raza and Muslim Advocates, an advocacy group founded by American Muslim lawyers. The groups said in a press release promoting the event they planned to condemn Trump for “demonizing” certain groups and would demand an apology. The...

This is the "white male" UCLA shooter Mainak Sarkar that the media has been telling us about for the last 24 hours. Unfortunately, none of what the media is telling us is true. The media appears to be falsely reporting identities that don't fit their political agenda. UCLA student Pardes S. witnessed a shocking moment when www.everipedia.com changed Sarkar's religion from Islam to Hindu. The news is now all over social media:

On May 23rd, we here at Mediaite ran this headline: Lindsey Graham Caves, Quietly Tells Fellow Republicans to Get Behind Trump 14 days later, Graham has not only done a complete 180, but he is telling other Republicans to un-endorse Donald Trump. Yes, just so we’re clear, Graham went from “hell no” on Trump to “eh maybe” on Trump to “okay let’s do this” on Trump to “ABANDON THIS SINKING SHIP WOMEN AND CHILDREN AND DONORS FIRST.” Graham spoke to The New York Times and made it clear he’s telling Republicans to get out while they still can: Senator Lindsey...

If ever there were a moment for Republicans to jump off the Trump train, now would be as good of a time, according to South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham. Graham wants fellow Republicans who have endorsed Donald Trump to take it all back in the wake of his repeated claims that Judge Gonzalo Curiel's heritage make him unfit to preside over lawsuits against him....
