It is with unspeakable sadness and broken hearts that we share the news of Susan's death. Susan passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on the evening of Wednesday, February 25th. She collapsed and never regained consciousness. She was pregnant with baby girls, Lucy and Reyna, who were delivered by C-section. Pope Francis has declared Gregory of Narek to be a "Doctor of the Church." This is one of the highest honors conferred by the Catholic Church on saints. Only a handful have been so honored. The only problem is that as far as I am able to tell, Gregory of Narek was not Catholic. The Coptic Orthodox Church has announced that the murder of the 21 Egyptian Christians killed by the so-called Islamic State in Libya will be commemorated in its Church calendar.
