The NBCA announced Thursday that the NBA's 30 head coaches voted Brown this year's winner, with four other candidates -- Mike Budenholzer of the Milwaukee Bucks, Mark Daigneault of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Joe Mazzulla of the Boston Celtics and Tom Thibodeau of the New York Knicks -- receiving votes. The Sacramento Kings appear to have made a statement by firing an announcer who said, “all lives matter,” only to replace him by hiring someone who claimed that Donald Trump is a “white supremacist terrorist.” Back in June, Kings announcer Grant Napear was pressured to resign from his 30-year broadcasting job after stirring vitriol from the left because he said that “all lives matter.” Napear, who had been with the team since 1988, later explained that he was not aware that “all lives matter” was somehow considered racist. Napear also lost his job on KHTK radio over the incident.

The Sacramento Kings basketball team had to cancel giving away Lunar New Year shirts celebrating the Year of the Monkey on Monday after a player noted the shirts could be deemed offensive during Black History month. This echoes previous claims by Donaghy about the NBA manipulating games.
