Allan Brauer, Communications Committee chairman for the Democratic Party of Sacramento County (DPSC) was asked for his resignation just one day after tweeting death wishes to the children of a female Ted Cruz staffer, Amanda Carpenter. Brauer tweeted such remarks as, This is not uncommon among liberal political flacks. One look at the vile remarks made after the deaths of Ronald Reagan and maggie Thatcher are prime examples. What is uncommon is someone paying the price for those remarks. And indeed, his bosses in Sacremento, California, overlooked them until the heat got turned up by his continuing tweets.

A Democratic Party official in Sacramento County has resigned after sending an offensive Twitter message during a heated exchange over President Obama’s health care law. SNIP Brauer addressed the offensive tweet to Amanda Carpenter, a speechwriter for Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, as House Republicans voted to defund the health care law. The unemployment rate in Sacramento and California registered a significant drop in May for the second consecutive month, but analysts cautioned that the steadily improving numbers conceal a large number of people who are working in low-wage jobs or who are no longer firmly attached to the workforce. Suspected tagger found dead, hanging 9 stories up on office tower A man whose body was found hanging from a downtown Sacramento building Monday, nine stories up, appears to be a tagger who was attempting the vandalize the property, authorities say. The man had used rope to tie himself in a seated position like a rappeller, authorities said. Last weekend, Phil Mickelson threatened to move out of California over the onerous tax hikes imposed by Jerry Brown and the Democratic supermajority in Sacramento.
