FReeper Jonah Johansen passed away very suddenly, unexpectedly on Sept 10, 2017. He was very intelligent, a political junkie, a lover of animals (especially cats), a Christian, a Bluegrass, Bob Dylan & Steely Dan fan, a philosopher, avid reader, WoW gamer, and had a great sense of humor. He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, 2 dogs and a cat. He will be missed by all who befriended him.

He was an American hero, a World War II B17 pilot with the 8th Air Force 379th Bomb Group out of Kimbolton Airfield England. He flew 25 missions and returned to be an B29 flight instructor at Roswell New Mexico. He became a petroleum engineer after graduating from OU and travelled the world with his family drilling wells for Mobil Oil and providing energy for all of us.
