US researchers at City of Hope have found a new way to treat cancer via a targeted chemotherapy pill that can kill solid tumors, according to a recent study. The findings of this study were published in the peer-reviewed academic journal Cell Chemical Biology. The drug in question, dubbed AOH1996, works by targeting a specific cancerous protein variant called a proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA). This protein is vital in DNA being able to replicate and therefore tumors being able to spread. How does AOH1996 help treat cancer? This is where AOH1996 differs from other targeted cancer treatments. Most others...

Sex ed has come a long way, even if you don’t realize it. What we used to think of as sex education has been slowly being transformed into Comprehensive Sexuality Education, an institutional monstrosity stemming from a partnership between UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) and the International Planned Parenthood Foundation. Yes, that Planned Parenthood… in schools. In this episode of the New Discourses Podcast, the fifth in the “Groomer Schools” mini-series, host James Lindsay pulls back the veil on the pillars of Comprehensive Sexuality Education by reading from a variety of source material so you can realize...

United Teachers Los Angeles made a bold and revealing statement about its radical political principles when the union endorsed Ron Gochez for L.A. City Council this month. The endorsement is significant for a couple of reasons. First, Gochez is an extreme left-wing L.A. teacher known for racist, anti-American rants. He also has decades-long ties to the African People’s Socialist Party—which is very open and passionate about its hatred of Jews, whites, Barack Obama, Martin Luther King Jr., Jesse Jackson, Koreans, basically everyone. Second, the UTLA didn’t have to endorse him. The union’s leaders wanted to. …

They call her Assata Shakur but, no matter the name by which she’s known, Chesimard is a homegrown – and unrepentant -- American terrorist. JoAnne Chesimard: BLM unashamedly embraces her and, recently, the New York City school system decided to incorporate her so-called wisdom into its curriculum. Therefore, it is more imperative than ever to shine a bright light upon the life, times, and accomplishments of one JoAnne Deborah Chesimard, a.k.a., Assata Olugbala Shakur. If you are, like me, of a certain age and grew up or lived in New Jersey during the 1970s and 1980’s, the name JoAnne Chesimard...

AOC gave a “shout out” to her “fellow radicals” on Instagram this week while preparing a meal from Whole Foods in a $58 shirt saying ‘tax the rich.’ Ocasio-Cortez: “Shoutout to my fellow radicals in the United States who believe crazy things like a full-time job should be enough for you to live and believe in crazy radical things like if you kill someone there shouldn’t be impunity. And also who believe really crazy radical things like you should get a stimulus check without having to bail out a corporation for it. Or that you should get a stimulus check...

Amid lockdowns and “shelter-in-place” orders and social distancing from strangers and even friends, the coronavirus pandemic has been a time, for many of us, of reaffirming the centrality of family in our lives. For utopians of the radical left, though, the pandemic is an opportunity to deconstruct flawed, traditional familial bonds and remake the world along the lines of new-and-improved, collectivist possibilities. As author Sophie Lewis (pictured above) puts it bluntly in a recent opinion piece at Open Democracy: “We deserve better than the family. And the time of corona is an excellent time to practice abolishing it.” The author...

At about 5 a.m., 700 British troops, on a mission to capture Patriot leaders and seize a Patriot arsenal, march into Lexington to find 77 armed minutemen under Captain John Parker waiting for them on the town’s common green. British Major John Pitcairn ordered the outnumbered Patriots to disperse, and after a moment’s hesitation the Americans began to drift off the green. Suddenly, a shot was fired from an undetermined gun, and a cloud of musket smoke soon covered the green. When the brief Battle of Lexington ended, eight Americans lay dead or dying and 10 others were wounded. Only...

From the “life imitates art imitates life imitates art” ad nauseam file, I thought this headline was satire, but noooo: “Jussie Smollett is nominated for an NAACP Award.” Of course, Smollett just walked free on 16 felony counts after his hoax hate crime in January. If you ever needed evidence that the NAACP is a race-bait organization run by hoax and scam hustlers, this would be it. Six-time host of Saturday’s festivities, “Black-ish” star Anthony Anderson, said, “I hope he wins. I’m happy for him that the system worked in his favor because the system isn’t always fair, especially for...

The widow of a Philadelphia police officer who was gunned down 37 years ago in the line of duty is "outraged" over a judge's decision last week to grant her husband's killer a chance to appeal his conviction. Abu-Jamal spent three decades on death row before his sentence in the shooting death of Faulkner was thrown out over flawed jury instructions. ..." CNN’s Van Jones was the guest on Thursday’s The View where he plugged his primetime weekend show aimed at bringing together conservatives and liberals. While he mostly argued the haughty Michelle Obama-esque “When they go low, we go high” approach for the left, host Sunny Hostin badgered him for that take, saying anything less than hostility to Trump voters was being “complicit.” The lengthy segment started with the guests naturally asking Jones what he thought about the White House banning his colleague Kaitlan Collins from the Rose Garden yesterday. He blasted the action, saying she did the right and only...

Welcome to the vast, mega-financed leftist astroturf campaign against President Trump A radical group linked to rogue billionaire George Soros has been providing scripts containing anti-Trump talking points for constituents to read aloud during congressional town hall meetings. One of the scripts distributed by the Revolutionary Love Project encourages town hall participants meeting with their member of Congress to accuse the Trump administration of – wait for it – “xenophobia, racism, and Islamophobia.” Constituents are urged to use those precise words to “forcefully condemn” President Trump’s immigration and border security initiatives, Aaron Klein reports at Breitbart News.
