There are people who believe Elvis is alive and there are those who insist that the phases of the moon effect human conduct; then there are those who believe kowtowing to Hispanics will bring Republicans victory in 2016. The fact that many people believe these things doesn’t make them true. While the first two are harmless fairytales believed by supermarket tabloid readers, the third is a dangerous lie believed by far too many decision makers in the Republican leadership. Like the first two, the supposed connection between capturing the Hispanic vote and insuring victory for Republicans cannot be defeated with...

Monica Lewinsky's Vanity Fair essay has provided those of us who lived through those months an opportunity to re-hash the spectacle it became, and allowed younger Americans an opportunity to finally "meet" the girl who inspired oh-so many of the Clinton jokes they've grown up on and discover who Beyoncé was singing about. It also provides us an opportunity to accurately pin-point the exact moment when the term "liberal" became synonymous with "Democrat." With the Monica Lewinsky affair, liberalism in America officially died and marked the moment when the left sold out all principles in the name of "der Party"...

If the generation that matured in the years after the Great War was the Lost Generation, the Millennials are the Last Generation. Not, of course, that there won’t be successive generations, but ours is a generation that is intended to be the final synthesis of experiments in social engineering and central planning. The specter of communism is a simulacrum of its 20th century iterations, and the social democracy eschatology in which the hegemony of the American government could just be assumed has removed the concept from the Millennial’s mind that society would be any other way. History unfolds dialectically, thesis...

Maybe the Chamber of Commerce has an excuse. As business people they are greedy and merely interested in their bottom line. In this modern world if they do destroy America they have the wherewithal to move to a new host country to feast on. The newly legal “Americans” created by amnesty will work in their factories for minimum wages. How they vote is of no concern to the Chamber of Commerce. They don’t live in homes that can be easily breached by marauders, their children don’t go to government schools so they won’t be forced to suffer the substandard education...

As the 2014 elections draw near, despite an outward appearance of confidence Democrats on both national and local levels are bracing themselves for an uphill battle against a resurgent Republican opposition. Beset by coast-to-coast scandals and lack of a cohesive message, Democratic Party officials acknowledge growing concerns of a tarnished public image as the midterms loom ahead. In attempts to rally party faithful, Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-Fla.) displayed confidence in the party’s chances to not only hold their majority in the Senate but at their prospects for taking the House and returning the Speaker’s gavel to Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi...

In a new bi-partisan poll released Monday, the GOP finds itself in a position to make historic gains in the November midterm elections. The poll, conducted by Democratic pollster Anderson Robbins Research and GOP pollster Shaw & Company, shows the public support for the Republican Party surging, having gained 15% points sine October of last year. Despite an incessant campaign by Democrats to paint the Republicans as a party aloof of public concerns, riddles with bigotry and intolerance, voters are evenly split, with 45% viewing the GOP as favorable and 45% unfavorable. This is in stark contrast to a similar...

A very deceptive ploy is being used by the National Republican Senatorial Committee that is at least rather unfair, at most a bit too over the top for establishment senators who might be getting the message that Republican voters do NOT want what they’re selling. This writer received an official looking letter with a return address of “Saint Lucie County Area Assessment.” It had a black, bold type warning “Do Not Tamper or Destroy” above the homeowner’s address. Naturally, this letter was the first one to be opened because, frankly, it looked like some notice from the county assessor’s office....

Next thing you know, cats and dogs might start sleeping together. In today’s brave new world, teacher responsibilities seemingly grow by the hour. With classroom responsibilities that now include nutrition, character development, parenting, sex education and family counseling, the very last thing teachers need is ignorant, anti-scholarship, disrespectful politicians stripping them of their ability to exercise their professional judgement. Teachers, just as other performing artists, need certain freedoms to create, improvise and respond to the needs of students, just as musicians need flexibility to play to their unique audiences. Teacher union’s have long argued that a smaller class sizes offers...

According to the left leaning Brookings Institute, Common Core is turning into a serious problem Democrats will have to deal with during this coming election cycle. The socialist’s dream program has ignited a growing backlash from furious parents who don’t want their children exposed to Common Core because it is inefficient at best and inappropriately loaded with sexual content at worst. Given that Common Core has been adopted in forty five states it will be difficult for most of those who have supported it to dodge responsibility for the mess they have created. Sizing the situation up, a Brookings spokesman...

April 15, 2014RNC Sues IRS for Illegal Stonewalling WASHINGTON – Today the Republican National Committee (RNC) filed a lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for withholding records sought by the RNC’s 2013 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. In the initial request on May 21, 2013, the RNC sought to review documents and correspondence related to criteria used for reviewing and approving 501(c)(4) tax-exempt organizations. This request followed revelations that the IRS had been targeting conservative organizations, and the RNC sought to shed light on who had ordered actions to be taken against those groups and why.Over the course...

When David Jolly beat Alex Sink in a recent special election for a Florida congressional seat, the knee jerk reaction from the GOPe’s pet pollsters was to immediately warn the Republican rank and file that Jolly didn’t win because of Obamacare. “Who are you going to believe, us or your lying eyes?” came to mind. Phonies like Karl Rove pontificated about how winning elections requires more than simply getting on the right side of issues voters care about and hammering that message home. Hey, who knew there was more to winning elections than supporting the things voters want and opposing...

The Republican Establishment’s (GOPe) deliberate war against its natural base raises the question of why the GOPe is so bent on self-immolation. Everyone concerned knows a GOPe incited civil war is coming in the Republican Party. It’s now a sad foregone conclusion. Recently we saw the GOPe’s Fort Sumter moment in a barely coherent stream of consciousness attack on conservatives from Shaun Kenney the newly appointed Executive Director of the Virginia Republican Party. Apparently interested in sucking up to the GOPe, Kenney, a 35 year old pup, has posted, “Conservatives have a moral duty to drive out nativism once and...

I just received a request for an exit interview because I left the Republican Party, which was news to me. I wrote that the party left me not the other way around and that as long as the leadership was m,ore concerned with illegal aliens than enforcing the Constitution and working for actual Americans they could go to H*ll. They asked when the last time I contributed money was and I responded that it was the last time the leadership was Conservative, so Reagan's term. I let them have a good piece of my mind so I know it will...

When the hot air balloon that was to take Chris Christie to the 2016 Republican presidential nomination crashed on the traffic choked streets of Ft. Lee New Jersey the Republican establishment (GOPe) must have panicked. They couldn’t run Bob Dole or John McCain again and Mitt Romney has already said he didn’t really want to run the first time. They must have immediately started a search for this cycle’s winner of “American RINO.” That search seems to have led them to Jeb Bush the former governor of Florida, younger brother of George W. Bush and son of George H.W. Bush...

I’ve been a conservative Republican since my Dad, a Chicago Packard Service manager said he voted against that SOB Roosevelt 4 times. That said, a term that has been lost in the dust is “loyal opposition.” Liberals and conservatives in this constitutional republic both have a certain love of country – maybe even God – and only see the ongoing maintenance of the republic from different viewpoints. One wins an election, the other loses and becomes the loyal opposition. This is never good enough for the “progressive” mindset which seeks to destroy and rebuild our extraordinary success into a global...

Georgia's Republican Governor, Nathan Deal, seems poised to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat by strong-arming the legislature away from pushing a bill to withdraw completely from imposing Common Core education standards on the state's schools and toward implementing most of the Common Core policies this year. State Senator William Ligon (R-Brunswick) was the voice against Common Core's being forced on Georgia schools. In 2013 he led a coalition of citizens to try to pass a law that put a halt to the policies. Opposition to Common Core became so stiff that Governor Deal was forced to issue a...

Almost half of the states have open primaries. Why do states like Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Texas have open republican primaries? It's like having a death wish to turn purple, blue, and asphyxiated by democrat and independent voters. One of the first things the Tea Party needs to do is turn more states into closed primaries. The theory is that open primaries will bring more voters to our tent. I don't buy it. Or maybe the republican brand name is so bad that people don't want to register as republicans and be stigmatized. But then you would...

If you believe burned up phone lines, overflowing email accounts and a notoriously contentious closed door, Capitol Hill meeting helped kill any shot establishment House Republicans had of passing amnesty this year, you’d be right. But equally compelling for GOP decision makers was the fact that donations which have historically gone to members of the Party establishment are now flowing to conservative candidates and conservative PACS. By March 31st of each year, campaigns must file a report of donations with the Federal Election Commission. According to the numbers, Democrats outperformed Republicans in 2013, collecting some $200 million to $170 million...

Bathing in the expected unanimous endorsement of the Pennsylvania Republican State Committee, Gov. Tom Corbett delivered a pragmatic acceptance speech Saturday touting his fiscal management and avoiding social issues that have landed him in hot water in the past...... But the unanimous endorse masked what one dissenter described as "a Tsunami of discontent" within state GOP ranks. Montgomery County tea party activist Bob Guzzardi, who lingered outside of the main hall, is Corbett's sole challenger for the party nomination. Guzzardi acknowledged he is a dark horse in the race and even admitted he didn't expect to be included in any...

There is a lot that has been said about immigration reform. Some advocates of performing a massive overhaul of our immigration system will tell you the system is broken. They will insist something needs to be, has to be done. It is true that we have problems in how the immigration system is working, but those problems stem from an unwillingness of our government to enforce our immigration laws in the first place. This unwillingness is much more prominent in the Obama administration, with his specific orders to refrain from many deportations. The President's excuse is that it is simply the...
