Democrats have turned “Loyal Opposition” into Dedicated Destruction

I’ve been a conservative Republican since my Dad, a Chicago Packard Service manager said he voted against that SOB Roosevelt 4 times.

That said, a term that has been lost in the dust is “loyal opposition.” Liberals and conservatives in this constitutional republic both have a certain love of country – maybe even God – and only see the ongoing maintenance of the republic from different viewpoints. One wins an election, the other loses and becomes the loyal opposition.

This is never good enough for the “progressive” mindset which seeks to destroy and rebuild our extraordinary success into a global nightmare. Given the likes of George Soros eagerly and lavishly seeking to destroy Israel...

Your point is well taken. To understand what has happened to the once American Democratic Party, you have to understand the mindset that justified mass killing by the Bolsheviks taking over Russia; that justified what Chairman Mao did to vast numbers of Chinese in taking over China; what Castro did in Cuba.

It is the fanatic acceptance of Collectivist/Egalitarian premises, and the belief that a Government can actually redesign a people--like so much biological putty--to make the Egalitarian fantasy actually become real. Thus you have the idea that the end justifies the means. Of course, the idiocy does not actually work. Humans are not so plastic; success comes not from exploitation of others, but from productive behavior. But those who buy into the lunacy, either dare not awaken, lest their fanatic comrades turn on them, or--if among the leaders of the madness--become too enamored with the fruits of the resulting power, not to continue to employ the methodology that has brought them to that power.

Yes, it is treason. But "if it prosper, none dare call it 'Treason.'"

The entire “loyal opposition” concept is predicated on a maturity and sense of restraint that is nowhere to be found in radical politics. There is something profoundly adolescent in the notion that transformation to a better society must involve the destruction of the present and the subjugation of its occupants: in essence, the current progressive standard-bearers of the Democrat party really and truly never grew up.

There is a prevailing dogma in most of Academia, today, which is at war with the actual realities of human nature & the natural laws of Creation. As most of the journalists--both print & broadcast--today, come from among those who did not have the stuff to challenge their dogma driven Professors, the general "information" climate enables those who hate reality to have the cover to do what they have been doing.

It is not being "adolescent"--although it certainly utilizes the systematic intellectual corruption of adolescents being brainwashed in institutions of "Higher Education."

Any real semblance of that ceased to exist a long time ago. It was all but gone in the Clinton era other than a thin mask of faux patriotism. Under 0bama they have burned the mask and make little pretense that they care for anything of the America of our founders.
