A Virginia school district says that a Bible verse engraved on bench memorializing a deceased student must be removed because it is not legal. Officials in Pensacola, Florida, are pushing back after a judge mandated this past summer that a large cross that has been on display in a public park for the past 76 years be taken down. Baltimore City Council has voted to remove four Confederate monuments in the city. The move follows protesters pulling down a Confederate memorial in Durham, North Carolina after a deadly weekend of protests over another statue in Charlottesville, Virginia. Interpol has removed Turkey from its database after Ankara uploaded a list of 60,000 people sought over suspected links to what Turkish prosecutors call the “Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETO),” the Hurriyet Daily News reports.
