  • Archbishop of Strasbourg: ‘Muslims say France will be theirs’

'European migration policies bringing biggest shift since third century barbarian invasions led to Western Roman Empire collapse.' ___ The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Strasbourg Luc Ravel has called attention to the demographic shift in France, saying Muslims are having far more children than native French and slammed the widespread “promotion” of abortion, the Valeurs Actuelles magazine reported. The Archbishop of Strasbourg went against the grain of Church leaders in France who have largely maintained silence on the issue of demographic changes occurring in the country. He said the rising birth rate of Muslims in France was leading to what prolific...

Since the dawn of time, procreation has occupied a fundamental and essential foundation in this world to ensure the preservation of the natural order and the prosperity of humanity. It has been ratified by religion, and guarded by humans through tradition, knowing full well that any manipulation of it would result in chaos. As a result, it is our cis-het males and females who have ensured the preservation and continuation of our nationality, our race, and our species. If any identity group deserves a pride day, it is them. For thousands of years, before the advent of liberalism and cultural...

Pope Francis told the Italian newspaper La Repubblica on Thursday that the United States of America—and Russia, China, North Korea and Bashar al Assad’s Syria—have “a distorted vision of the world”—“una visione distorta del mondo,” as reportetd in Italian by La Repubblica. […] As transclated into English by Agence France Presse, which picked up the story, Pope Francis told La Repubblica: “I worry about very dangerous alliances between powers which have a distorted vision of the world: America and Russia, China and North Korea, (Russian President Vladimir) Putin and (Syria’s Bashar al-) Assad over the war in Syria.” “The danger...

In his speech in Poland on Thursday, Donald Trump referred 10 times to “the West” and five times to “our civilization.” His white nationalist supporters will understand exactly what he means. It’s important that other Americans do, too. The West is not a geographic term. Poland is further east than Morocco. France is further east than Haiti. Australia is further east than Egypt. Yet Poland, France, and Australia are all considered part of “The West.” Morocco, Haiti, and Egypt are not. The West is not an ideological or economic term either. India is the world’s largest democracy. Japan is among...
  • The Surprising Connection between Tim Tebow and Aaron Judge

At first glance there doesn't seem to be any connection between these two famous American athletes.(snip) Aaron Judge is a New York Yankee rookie who has created quite a stir leading the league in spectacular home runs. The connection between these two is that both their mothers allowed them to live. Tebow was born in 1985 and the family moved to the Philippines where they served as Baptist missionaries and built a ministry. Prior to becoming pregnant with Tim, his mother contracted amoebic dysentery and fell into a coma. She discovered she was pregnant while recovering. Because of the medications...

I recently met the good people of St. Benedict Elementary School in South Natick, Massachusetts, which offers classical Catholic education to some very fortunate youngsters. The extensive summer reading lists the school suggests to those kids’ parents put me in mind of my high school English teacher, the late Fr. W. Vincent Bechtel—who did not, however, do suggestions, but made sure that his charges kept their noses to the grindstone from June through August by assigning us at least a half-dozen novels. Some of them—like Paul Horgan’s Things As They Are—I still reread with pleasure, a half-century later. So herewith,...

Every July 4th, citizens of the United States of America everywhere celebrate Independence Day, commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence and separation from British rule. The Continental Congress had actually voted to approve a resolution of independence on July 2nd and declare the Thirteen Colonies a new nation, the United States of America. However, it would not actually come until two days later that the Declaration of Independence was drawn up, revised by the Continental Congress, and officially signed. Were any signers of the Declaration of Independence Catholic? Of the 56 total signatories of the Declaration of Independence,...

If Western nations would take a few minutes to listen and comprehend the words of the United States Declaration of Independence - whilst considering current events in their own nations as well as ours, they might envision the wisdom and utility in seeking independence for their/our cultural survival. Below begins my own attempt to do so with highlighted and hyperlinked information tying this Declaration's understanding as related to current events here in the United States. Feel free to add links, comments enhancing the urgency of addressing the threats posed against our nation by shariah, Islam, and the great Hijrah (migration...

A group of rabbis in London for the country’s top Sephardi rabbi to be fired over his comments welcoming growing acceptances of homosexuality. Rabbi Joseph Dweck, who serves as senior rabbi at London’s S&P Sephardi Community, came under fire after saying at a lecture last month that societal acceptance of homosexuality is a “fantastic development” because it opens the door to a more loving society. In a letter Friday addressed to British Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis and “any would-be panel of appointed Dayanim [religious judges],” the London rabbis, both Sephardi and Ashkenazi, wrote that if he did not remove Dweck...

Velma, my wife of nearly 35 years (53 YOA) has been having seizure-like episodes which are getting worse. Lasting longer and longer and more motor control loss/psychological effects. Sunday she had an episode that required life-flight transport to a major med center here in MO. Loss of consciousness, facial muscle twitching, unresponsive in general. No evidence of TIA/stroke on the CT scans/MRIs over the last 6 months, but she now has a facial weakness on the left, slurred speech, extreme lethargy and seems "out of it" about 75% of the time when awake, sleeps ~20 hrs per day. Scheduled for...

London, June 5, 2017. A minute of silence is held at Potters Field Park, next to the City Hall, to pay tribute to the victims of the London Bridge jihadist attack three days before. Those who came have brought flowers, candles and signs bearing the usual words: "unity", "peace" and "love". Faces are sad but no trace of anger is visible. The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, a Muslim, gives a speech emphasizing against all evidence that the killers' ideas have nothing to do with Islam. A few hours after the attack, Britain's Prime Minister Theresa May also refuses to...

The supreme function of statesmanship is to provide against preventable evils. In seeking to do so, it encounters obstacles which are deeply rooted in human nature. One is that by the very order of things such evils are not demonstrable until they have occurred: at each stage in their onset there is room for doubt and for dispute whether they be real or imaginary. By the same token, they attract little attention in comparison with current troubles, which are both indisputable and pressing: whence the besetting temptation of all politics to concern itself with the immediate present at the expense...
