Three Dallas police officers were killed and seven others were wounded Thursday night during a demonstration protesting the police shootings in Minnesota and Louisiana this week, according to Chief David O. Brown of the Dallas police.

A recent survey on voters’ attitudes about race shows that Clinton’s supporters are more likely to see Blacks as violent people and criminals. The survey report was released Wednesday, June 29. The questionnaires included 21 questions that concerned the issues of race and were handed out to over 16,000 of possible voters in the period between April and June. Two historically black colleges in Atlanta are investigating sexual-assault allegations posted on an anonymous Twitter account that described the rape of a Spelman student by four Morehouse students. Franchesca Ramsey, Black actress and comedian, believes that “so-called progressive Western states” are no less racist than notorious Southern states. The most prominent racist region in the U.S. is the south. Mostly, people tend to refer all racist activities to the south but Ramsey during an episode of MTV’s Decoded expressed a more strict opinion, “Racism is a problem in the Northern and Western states too. An elite Manhattan school is teaching white students as young as 6 that they’re born racist and should feel guilty benefiting from “white privilege,” while heaping praise and cupcakes on their black peers. Former D.C. Congressman Walter Fauntroy, 83, is back in the U.S. after several years absence and, according to his attorney, he is in jail in Loudoun County, Va. Attorney Johnny Barnes said Fauntroy was arrested at Dulles Airport in Loudoun County Monday morning on his return from Dubai on an "unexpected" warrant from Prince George's County, Md. It involved Fauntroy's failure to appear in a court case in 2011 on allegations of fraud involving a 2009 Obama inauguration party that never took place.

DENVER (AP) — The American Red Cross issued an apology Monday for a water safety poster that some suggested had a racist message. The cartoon poster showed children playing in a swimming pool. Nearly all of the white children's activities were labeled as "cool," while the children of color were depicted acting in unsafe ways and were labeled "not cool."

In March, a white award-winning broadcast news anchor in Pittsburgh posted on her professional Facebook page what she claimed was a heartfelt call to action on the perceived black-on-black crime epidemic in the United States, particularly in the city she’d covered for almost 20 years. The post came two weeks after she covered a mass shooting at a backyard barbecue that left four people injured and six dead, including a pregnant woman, in Wilkinsburg, a majority black borough.
