Forget the happy talk of the mainstream media. The Democrats are a coalition of mutually antagonistic factions, united only by their hatred of President Donald Trump. They couldn't even keep a lid on the conflict between the dominant radicals and the pseudo-moderates propping up senescent Joe Biden as a putative centrist. Don’t look for the mainstream media to mention this, but the Biden campaign actually disavowed one of the speakers during last night’s Democratic National Convention internet TV show, Linda Sarsour and she is muttering about retaliation at the polls. Remember her? Sarsour, who has a history of controversial...

Signs randomly posted causing much cognitive dissonance and consternation among the "woke" crowd. Fun to see their scrambled brains in action. Reminds me of the reaction to signs that said, "It's OK to be white".

Representative Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.) slammed the Israel-U.A.E. agreement announced on Thursday, which commits the two countries to establishing full diplomatic relations and commits Israel in particular to suspending its annexation of territory in the West Bank. The agreement makes the U.A.E. the third Arab Middle Eastern nation to establish formal ties with Israel, joining Egypt and Jordan. In exchange for diplomatic relations, Israel agreed to suspend efforts to expand its territory in the West Bank. Tlaib, who is of Palestinian descent, is a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement, which seeks to pressure Israel into giving concessions...

On MSNBC's AM Joy show today, Ayanna Pressley, a Democrat congresswoman from Massachusetts and member of The Squad, said: "I'm looking to the public . . . There needs to be unrest in the streets for as long as there is unrest in our lives. And unfortunately, there's plenty to go around." Was Pressley fomenting violence? She certainly was inciting "unrest"—with no end in sight. Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

Here is yet more evidence of the two-tier justice system we have in the United States. A “veteran insider” at the Department of Homeland Security revealed Wednesday that two different federal agencies have investigated Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Ankara) for months, but decided not to prosecute her for immigration fraud, despite clear and readily available evidence that she married her own brother as part of an elaborate immigration scam. A key clue as to why there will be no prosecution can be seen in the fact that Omar has accused those who have researched her unusual marital arrangements of “Islamophobia.” Ilhan...

Democratic Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib violated the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 by paying herself a salary from her campaign after securing victory in the 2018 general election, the House Ethics Committee unanimously ruled on Friday. The Ethics committee found that Tlaib violated FECA’s personal use restrictions by paying herself $10,800 from her campaign when she was no longer a congressional candidate in late 2018 and ordered her to repay that amount back to her campaign within one year, the committee said in a report. The committee “determined that the evidence is sufficient to support a determination that a...

Newspaper political endorsements are almost meaningless in the internet era, but this one is different. The StarTribune is the largest newspaper in Minnesota and s with almost all metropolitan dailies, the Strib is progressive and supports Democrats. The paper has distinguished itself by largely ignoring the many irregularities in the personal and political history of Rep. Ilhan Omar, who represents Minneapolis, where the paper is located. Scott Johnson of Powerline has distinguished himself with his best-in-the-nation coverage of Omar’s scandals and the abandonment of most of these stories by her district’s largest newspaper. The abdication of the Star Tribune is...

Representative Rashida Tlaib, Democrat of Michigan, beat back a formidable primary challenge Tuesday from a repeat rival, widening her 2018 margin of victory and helping to cement the staying power of the progressive women of color who have shaped the party’s House majority. Ms. Tlaib, 44, defeated Brenda Jones, 60, the president of the Detroit City Council, according to The Associated Press. It was a flag-planting moment for Ms. Tlaib in her predominantly Black district, which includes portions of Detroit and its suburbs, as she easily defeated a prominent African-American leader with whom she split election wins two years ago.

“Squad” member Rashida Tlaib was trying to fend off a serious challenge for her House seat in Michigan’s primary on Tuesday, in a rematch with the woman she narrowly defeated two years ago. Tlaib, one of the first two Muslim women in Congress, was seeking reelection in the 13th District in and around Detroit. Her sole opponent is Detroit City Council President Brenda Jones, who lost by 1 percentage point in 2018 when the primary field was larger. Jones on the same day defeated Tlaib to fill out the remainder of John Conyers’ term. Tlaib, 44, was leading in early...

“Squad” member Rep. Rashida Tlaib on Monday said she will not endorse Democratic nominee Joe Biden — just hours after a co-chair of Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign likened voting for Biden to eating “a bowl of s–t.”

The Minneapolis Police Department is advising residents of the city to “Be prepared to give up your cell phone and purse/wallet” if approached by robbers, and “Do not argue or fight with the criminal. Do as they say.” The “robbery prevention tips” were circulated by the department and reported by local ABC affiliate KSTP-5. They advise that the city is suffering an increase in robberies and carjackings, especially in the 3rd Precinct — the area of the city in which George Floyd was killed in police custody on Memorial Day, and rioters destroyed police headquarters. Others posted the tips on...

The House speaker said last year that Tlaib and rest of 'The Squad' 'didn't have any following' House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) endorsed Michigan congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D.) on Wednesday in her Democratic primary contest, in a change of course from her past criticisms of Tlaib and other members of "The Squad." "Rep. Tlaib never stops fighting for her district, which she is proud to represent," Pelosi said. "And I am proud to endorse her for re-election." Tlaib and the three other far-left House Democrats known as "The Squad" have had a contentious relationship with Pelosi and the Democratic...

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis made a significant donation to the campaign of Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar's primary opponent. According to campaign finance records, Polis, a Democrat, donated $1,000 to Antone Melton-Meaux, a Minneapolis attorney who is running as a Democrat in the primary race for Omar's seat, on Monday. Melton-Meaux has significantly outpaced Omar in terms of fundraising. In the most recent filings, he brought in $3.2 million, nearly 7 times the fundraising haul that Omar brought in during the same time period. Omar's campaign has said it is not concerned about Melton-Meaux's fundraising success because many of his donations...

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on Tuesday called for the arrest of violent protesters while taking questions for the first time in 28 days. The former vice president struck a discordant tone with fellow liberals who insist protests against the May killing of George Floyd by Minnesota police are peaceful, and that authorities are to blame for any violence in Portland and other cities. “I think we do need to hold those who violate the law accountable,” Biden said. “We should never let what’s done in a march for equal rights overcome what the reason for the march is. And...

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez has been the driving force behind small, fringe and leftist movements to defund Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Border Patrol and police departments across the country. When the New York City Council voted to cut $1 billion from the NYPD budget, she said it wasn't enough. "Defunding police means defunding police. It does not mean budget tricks or funny math. It does not mean moving school police officers from the NYPD budget to the Department of Education’s budget so the exact same police remain in schools,” she released in a statement. "These proposed ‘cuts’ to the NYPD...

Editor's note: The column was co-authored by Bruce Abramson. Anyone concerned with Jews and Israel should be horrified by the Democrats’ newly released 2020 platform. It directly threatens the Jewish state, employs double-talk calculated to stoke antagonism between the American left and Israel, and pays passing lip-service to opposing antisemitism, but in the gaslighting way Linda Sarsour and Ilhan Omar do; to deny it where it exists and point fingers elsewhere. In both narrative and policy, the platform crosses over the line into deep antisemitic territory. It’s a dangerous acceleration of an approach first tested when Joe Biden was Vice...

The House Wednesday passed legislation to restrict President Trump’s authority to impose blanket travel restrictions and to repeal all iterations of his so-called “Muslim ban.” The No Ban Act, which has been in the works for months, is the Democrats’ response to Trump’s crackdown on Muslims entering the United States that he pledged during the 2016 campaign and that materialized into various travel bans on countries in Muslim-majority regions and beyond. Democrats rebuked the travel ban as xenophobic and a shameful stain on America’s reputation as a beacon for religious tolerance and inclusion. The repeal legislation passed 233-183. But the...
