Journalist and former MK Yinon Magal has noted that the incitement against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is significantly worse than the incitement that there had been against former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin two decades ago. Rabin was later assassinated, and the individual suspected of assassinating him, and charged with the crime, is still in prison. Speaking to 103FM Radio, Magal said, "There has been a change here in recent weeks, in the insane incitement campaign against the Prime Minister. It is absolutely insane. What there was against Rabin is not even one-sixtieth of what is happening here -...

Defense Minister Benny Gantz told Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas during their recent meeting that he wants to be “the new Rabin”, Channel 12 News reported on Friday. According to the report, PA cabinet leader Mohammad Shtayyeh relayed details of the meeting between Gantz and Abbas in a recent meeting with Arab Israeli activists and journalists. Gantz told Abbas, according to Shtayyeh, “I believe in the two-state solution and believe is the appropriate solution. I want to be the new Rabin, but this government has limitations.” Abbas, for his part, told Gantz that “if the current [Israeli] government does...

Retired US Army Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson is no stranger to controversy, with a legacy of questionable statements on Israel and the US government. In 2013 the former chief of staff for then-Secretary of State Colin Powell suggested that Israel was responsible for the use of chemical weapons in Syria. In 2007 Wilkerson appeared in a Dutch documentary, claiming that American foreign policy was dominated by “the Jewish lobby”. Despite his history of inflammatory rhetoric and frequent conspiracy theories, Wilkerson was tapped to serve as a military and foreign policy adviser for the Bernie Sanders campaign in 2015. In the wake...

Noa Rotman, the granddaughter of former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, accused Prime Minister Netanyahu of 'assassinating' Israel's democracy. Rotman, a candidate for Ehud Barak's 'Democratic Israel' party, tweeted: "I am 42 years old. I am mother to Omer Alona and Amalia, am married to Eldad. Scriptwriter and creator. Lawyer. Zionist conflict. Liberal. And yes, even granddaughter. I am proud of my family. She slammed Netanyahu and his government: "I sat on the fence and watched how the bastards are changing the system. How a criminal suspect holds the Israeli public hostage to save his skin and is ready to assassinate...

Rabin never offered any such two-state compromise Former Israeli President Shimon Peres has pre-empted the memorial rally this Saturday evening to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the assassination on 4 November 1995 of Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin - by writing – quite misleadingly - of Rabin’s vision in the Jerusalem Post this week. Former US president Bill Clinton, Israel’s President Reuven Rivlin and Yitzchak Rabin’s daughter - former deputy defence minister Dalia Rabin - are scheduled to participate in the rally – and hopefully will set the record straight.

I have been warning for months that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu might lose the March 17 election. In November 2014, before elections were called, I noted that Netanyahu had been elected on a promise to oppose Barack Obama, and now that Obama’s lame-duck term had begun, Israeli voters might feel secure enough to look elsewhere for leadership. What they–and indeed many Americans–failed to see was how much damage Obama still intended to cause.

Sunday, July 13, 2014 How Diplomats, Reporters and Human Rights Activists Saved Hamas Posted by Daniel Greenfield @ the Sultan Knish blog As Israeli airstrikes hit Hamas targets and Hamas rockets fall on Israeli towns, some wonder how did Gaza come to run by Hamas terrorists. The answer is that the world forced Israel to let them in. In the early 90s, Nissim Toledano, a border police sergeant, was kidnapped by terrorists on the way to work. After an extended search, he was found dead in a roadside ditch. In response to that attack and numerous other atrocities committed by...

Israel’s predicament today is the work of Rabin and Sharon; two generals turned prime ministers who launched ambitious ventures and died leaving them unfinished and their nation in twilight. Rabin’s peace process destroyed Israeli national security and revitalized terrorism as a force in political affairs. Had he lived, he might have turned away from it. The idea had been thrust on him by the fringe left and he had grasped it as a hedge against the political oblivion of a leftist party that had lost credibility in a new Israel no longer dominated by the Socialist vision of cooperatives and...

Former minister Yossi Beilin said Saturday that former Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin was a man with a short temper and a long streak of nastiness when it came to dealing with residents of towns in Judea and Samaria. “It wasn't worthy behavior for a Prime Minister,” said Beilin, a former Labor politician who was identified with the radical-left elements of the party. Beilin, one of the proponents of the Geneva Initiative, which advocated a total Israeli withdrawal from all lands liberated in 1967, said that Rabin “would fight with the settlers for fighting's sake. When you want to remove thousands...

A young man who spray-painted the words “Free Yigal Amir” on the Rabin memorial in Tel Aviv has been met with wildly different responses, from support and understanding to calls for a severe punishment. Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai issued perhaps the strongest response, saying Friday, “The hands that permitted themselves to harm what is holy and important to the people of Israel should be chopped off.” The Labor party called for a harsh response as well. “The murder of Rabin and the memorial are a national symbol that reminds us that extremism and violence are a threat to Israeli...

THE TRUE FACE OF ARAB-ISLAMIC "Palestine" ANIMALISM!The day the world witnessed animalism on display, shameless inhumane revelations, by "average" Arab-Palestinians & their official police. * Two Israelis are nabbed --as they lost their way-- by the "Palestinian" Police who beat them brutally. * They then handed over the men to a mob to lynch, while they watch the scene. * One "proud" Arab-Muslim “hero” had his hands covered in the blood of the Israelis and waved in a bragging manner through the window to the larger crowd anxiously waiting in the public square. (* They were put on military clothes...

This week in Israel there are memorials to the memory of Assassinated Prime Minister. Its interesting how the world press describes Yitzchack Rabin as the great peacemaker, and Binyamin Netanyahu as the ultimate hard-line hawk. Anybody who says that is ignoring the facts. You see Netanyahu supports the creation of a Palestinian state, Rabin never did. The truth is Rabin was the last Israeli Prime Minister who did NOT support the creation of a Palestinian state. Just before he died, Rabin Delivered a speech to the Knesset that laid out his vision for the future of Israel and the disputed...

(IsraelNN.com) Rahm Emanuel, President-elect Barack Obama's new Jewish Chief of Staff, was active in the Oslo negotiations and choreographed the Rabin-Arafat handshake at the White House. "It was an emotional moment for him," according to public relations consultant Richard Mintz, who worked with Emanuel. "He would like nothing more than to participate in another peace agreement signing." Israeli media Thursday morning celebrated the appointment of Emanuel, a Chicago, Illinois Jewish Congressman who was born to former Israelis. His father was a member of the Jewish resistance Irgun movement during the British mandate and the Emanuels named him after an Irgun...

RIMONIM PRISON, Israel (Reuters) - Twelve years to the day he assassinated Yitzhak Rabin, the late Israeli prime minister's killer held a ritual circumcision for his new son on Sunday as supporters and protesters scuffled outside his prison. Yigal Amir, who shot Rabin at a peace rally in Tel Aviv on November 4, 1995, became a father last Sunday. Jewish tradition dictates circumcision should be performed seven days after a son's birth. The child was named Yinon Eliya Shalom. A court ordered prison authorities to arrange for Amir, an Orthodox Jew, to hold the ceremony in jail after his request...

The Fast of Gedaliah commemorates the assassination of Gedaliah, the Babylonian-appointed official charged with administering the Jewish population remaining in Judah following the destruction of the Temple and exile in 586 B.C.E. Ahead of the memorial day commemorating Rabin's murder, the reform movement's rabbinical council issued a public statement confirming that the memorial day will be...

September 5, 10:35 P.M. Haig reports to Nixon that all the hostages have been killed. "The Israelis are going to react," he says. Nixon: "Who are they going to hit though?" Haig: "Lebanon, though they will find out where based [sic]." Nixon: "They are capable of it. They have got to hit somebody, don't you think?" Ten minutes later, Nixon says to Haig: "Hell, what do we care about Lebanon. Think we have to be awfully tough. I want you to run that by a couple of people. Any nation that harbors or gives sanctuary to these international outlaws -...
