New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo believes that pro-life activists, along with anti-gay activists and supporters of the Second Amendment, are not welcome in his state. During a radio interview on Friday, Cuomo pointed out that Republicans were in the midst of a schism, where conservatives worked against moderate Republicans. "Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves," he said. "Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that's who they are and they're the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of...

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo made news last week when during a radio interview he said “extreme conservatives” have “no place” in the Empire State. Who are these people? Among others, he said, those who are “right to life” or “anti-gay.”Later he tried to walk back this naked and nasty bit of intolerance, reassuring us that those who are “anti-choice” (one presumes he got a tongue-lashing from NARAL for saying “right to life” the first time) could stay in New York after all. But that bell, as the saying goes, can’t be un-rung.Catholics, of course, are “right to life”...

You need to go see the new movie "Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial Killer," starring actor Dean Cain in the leading role. It's in theaters nationwide this Friday. And while you're at it, take several friends with you. But if you've never heard about this film, I can't say I blame you. You're not alone. Not only should you go see it if you care about the plight of unborn children and their mothers, but a purchase of this particular movie ticket is a rebuke to the disgraceful behavior of the American mainstream press a few years ago....

Are movies an expression of America’s cultural values, or are our values influenced by what we see on the big screen? There’s a case to be made for both arguments, and the answer may be that it's a giant circle; what we see influences what we believe, and what we create and portray is influenced by our evolving beliefs. This is certainly the way it has played out over the last 50 years in the debate over abortion rights. The landmark 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade, which affirmed women's legal rights to abortion, brings the national conversation...

I just saw Gosnell in the theater last night, and it is very well done. It is a huge eye-opener on the abortion industry. The acting was surprisingly good, especially the actor for dr. Gosnell. He did an excellent job at capturing the darkness and creepiness of this killer. When I last checked, this movie had 97% approval ratings from viewers and surprisingly over 60% from Critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Much Financial Risk was taken to put together this anti-abortion movie. Please take time to see it!

The crimes of abortionist and serial killer Kermit Gosnell are, by now, well known. But another abortionist is currently under investigation by the FBI: Douglas Karpen, who has come to be known as the “Texas Gosnell.” In 2011, Karpen appeared before the Texas Medical Board following multiple complaints, but they were all dismissed. In 2013, however, the voices against him grew louder as staffers from his abortion facility began to come forward, accusing him of committing grisly late-term abortions, after which babies were sometimes born alive. Instead of getting them medical attention, as federal law requires, Karpen would instead —...

This weekend is it! The Gosnell Movie is finally on the big screen and has opened in 661 movie theaters across the country. The feedback being received is great, wonderful, fabulous, and a heartfelt thank you to Ann and Phelim for seeing this through, exposing the truth about Gosnell and abortion, and getting this before the public. It is most important that this first weekend be huge. This is the time it matters so please go on this opening weekend and please take scores and scores of folks with you. If you fear it is too gruesome, it is not....

Police detained a left-wing student activist at Indiana University, Bloomington after he tried to steal, spray-paint and rip apart signs from a pro-life group protesting on campus. Thomas Metcalf, 21, a member of the Young Democratic Socialists of America at IU and Black Lives Matter, was charged with disorderly conduct, vandalism, and larceny-theft on Oct. 4 attacking Created Equal, an anti-abortion group that puts up graphic images of aborted children on posters. “You all are pieces of sh** and you are harming women! F*** you!”, Metcalf yelled at pro-life protesters before allegedly driving off with the group’s pro-life signs in...

For those who have been active in trying to rescue babies and their mothers from the horrific evil of abortion, the piercing screams and the sound of the gnashing of teeth are familiar. We hear them often when we fight for the lives of the innocent. The darkness of evil infiltrated the nation’s capital during the Senate confirmation process of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh. You could feel it as the shrills of protesters interrupted the hearings and the confirmation vote. Senators were confronted by satanic threats so real that many still require police escorts. Justice Kavanaugh and...

Editor’s note. Today is the nationwide premier of “Gosnell – The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer.” We have a number of posts about a very, very important film. The ultimate driving force behind the trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell was an incredible 261 page Grand Jury report. In daily segments, NRL News Today reposted almost the entire report in 2013. What follows below comes from “Section I: Overview,” a devastating indictment of the entire bureaucratic structure which turned a blind eye to this man’s reign of terror. It is a doleful reminder that in many, many places in this...

Over brunch in the spring of 2016, Jennifer Conti, MD, clinical assistant professor in obstetrics and gynecology at Stanford University, and Gillian Schivone, MD, an Ob/Gyn in the Midwest, began to talk about wanting to get tattoos. Even though they had been close friends since their fellowship days, and had spent hours talking about patients and their personal lives, this conversation felt different. “It was pretty spontaneous,” Schivone says. Conti, who is also cohost of the V Word Podcast adds, “neither of us had tattoos or had really even considered getting one, but on that morning it seemed right.” This...

After I saw “Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer,” I was disheartened—and at same time, incredibly thankful. I’m thankful because finally, the horrific true story of Kermit Gosnell, the late-term Philadelphia abortionist who went to prison after being convicted in connection with the deaths of three babies, is being told. But I’m depressed that such a story even exists...

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 12, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – In what pro-lifers are attributing to the hand of God, a Washington D.C. court has dismissed charges against four pro-lifers arrested in a July Red Rose Rescue. The pro-life supporters and their attorney with Life Legal Defense Foundation (LLDF) were prepared for trial, when the charges of criminal trespass were promptly and unexpectedly dismissed due to there being no witnesses for the prosecution. “Great victory in court today,” Citizens for a Pro-life Society (CPLS) Director Monica Migliorino Miller told supporters via email Thursday. “Charges dismissed against the 4 Red Rose Rescuers – Except...

PRESS RELEASE Philadelphia, PA – “The world would not know the name of Kermit Gosnell if it were not for Cheryl Sullenger,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. Sullenger attended the now infamous abortion/murder trial in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the spring of 2013. She was the first journalist outside local news affiliates to report daily on the proceedings’ shocking revelations and often-emotional testimony to a national audience. Her reporting sparked a Twitter storm that was responsible for drawing national media to cover the trial. Sullenger, who followed the story from the moment of the police raid through the trial...

In the wake of the confirmation battle over Justice Brett Kavanaugh, it is more apparent than ever that we need solid, pro-life Republicans in the Senate to bolster our meager majority. Republicans must gain seats in this Mid-Term Election and cannot afford to lose any to the radical pro-abortion Democrats, especially when it comes to the seat occupied by pro-life stalwart Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas. Sen. Cruz is considered a long-time pro-life hero. He distinguished himself during the recent contentious Kavanaugh confirmation hearings where he stood in eloquent support of President Trump’s embattled Supreme Court nominee. “Ted Cruz is...

October 11, 2018 – A feminist author has taken it upon herself to elevate former Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards and a variety of other pro-abortion figures to sainthood. Released in March by Penguin Random House, Julia Pierpont’s The Little Book of Feminist Saints is billed as a collection of “short, vibrant, and surprising biographies” matched to “stunning full-color portraits of secular female ‘saints’: champions of strength and progress.” “The idea came from the Catholic saint-of-the-day book, the kind one might read as a source of daily inspiration throughout the calendar year,” Pierpont explained. “The achievements of women haven’t been...

You need to go. You must go. And you must encourage others to go as well. If you can’t make it to “Gosnell: the Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer” today, do your best to get to a theater this weekend. Large weekend openings are very, very important because they help to ensure that theaters keep the movie in their line-up and other movie-goers will become curious and decide to see it. Seeing the story of abortionist Kermit Gosnell on the big screen will re-energize pro-lifers to continue their endeavors to protect unborn babies and their mothers. However, hopefully, viewing...

Two more of President Donald Trump’s conservative judicial nominees may be confirmed to important U.S. circuit court positions soon. The U.S. Senate is considering Chad Readler and Eric Murphy for the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals – a move that is setting off alarms for abortion activists. The pro-abortion website Mother Jones reports Readler and Murphy both have “strong” pro-life histories in the legal system. And the Sixth Circuit could soon hear several important cases involving abortion clinic regulations. Their nominations are “worrisome to pro-choice advocates who fear this may be the court that helps overturn Roe v. Wade,” according...

The Little Sisters of the Poor took their fight to not have to pay for abortions in their health care plan all the way to the Supreme Court and won. So that should be the end of the battle right? Not so much. Last year, pro-abortion attorneys general in Pennsylvania and several other states filed lawsuits to overturn new religious protections issued by the Trump administration. The new rules protect the nuns and other religious employers from having to pay for drugs that may cause abortions in their employee health care plans. A federal judge blocked the rule in response...
