Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Thursday she believes the U.S. economy is making the “soft landing” that she predicted two years ago, when inflation soared after the pandemic. In a live interview during the Atlantic Festival 2024, journalist Ron Brownstein recalled their interview in 2022, when, he said, “there was a great deal of apprehension about the economy, about the Biden administration’s management of the economy.” “Well, here we are now, two years later: unemployment 4.2, inflation under 3 percent, Fed finally, cutting interest rates,” he said. “I know Taylor Swift has been in the news a lot lately, so...

VIDEOLast month, as many of you might remember, I ACCURATELY predicted that Vivek Ramaswamy would DEMAND from the GOP debate stage the RESIGNATION of incompetent GOP Chairwoman Ronna ROMNEY McDaniel (see link below). Therefore I am once again going into Nostradamus mode to predict (and hope) what Ramaswamy will do at the December 6 GOP Loser Debate in Alabama. Yes, NONE of them can defeat President Trump but at least Vivek has the imagination to take that lemon of a loser debate and turn it into lemonade once again.DUmmie FUnnies CALLED IT On Vivek Demanding McDaniel RESIGN During Debate!!!

A new dementia risk score, which draws on 11 mostly modifiable risk factors, identifies people at risk—from midlife onward—of developing the disease within the next 14 years, suggests a large long term study. The UK Biobank Dementia Risk Score, or UKBDRS for short, outperformed three other widely used risk scores originally developed in Australia (ANU-ADRI), Finland (CAIDE), and the U.K. (DRS), the findings show. In all, 220,762 (average age just under 60) people from the UK Biobank study and 2,934 (average age 57) from the Whitehall II study were included in the final analysis. The researchers compiled a list of...

Conservative commentator George Will criticized 2024 GOP primary favorites former President Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, in a column Friday, saying that both candidates will come out of the GOP primary weaker. “The 2024 Republican nomination question was supposed to be: Could anyone harpoon the Great Orange Whale? Who knew that he would harpoon himself, repeatedly? Or that DeSantis, playing Captain Ahab, would pay Trump the sincerest form of flattery by imitating his persona as an unhappy warrior?” Will wrote in a Washington Post column.

In the Post, George Will predicts that neither Donald Trump nor Ron DeSantis will be the Republican presidential nominee in 2024. Inter alia, Will bases this on what he considers to be voters’ inevitable “rebellion against inevitability”: Voters, however, become contrary when told that the game’s outcome is known in the top of the first inning. Hence what G.K. Chesterton called the game of “Cheat the Prophet”: People listen politely to explanations of what is inevitable, then make something else happen. As a rule, there’s a lot to this. Americans did not like being told in 2007 that the next...

You can take this with a grain of salt, but according to Niall Ferguson, a historian and senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, there is a strong possibility that former Donald Trump will emerge the victor in the 2024 presidential election. In an op-ed for The Spectator, Ferguson argued that “A second Trump act is not just possible. It’s fast becoming my base case.”Ferguson quickly dismisses the idea that Trump’s legal issues will hurt him because criminal cases against leading political figures often do not hinder their political success. In fact, he observed that they’re already backfiring because of the...

What Happened: The letter, dated Dec. 21, 1987, noted Trump's appearance on "The Donahue Show." Nixon said though he didn't watch the show, his wife, former first lady Pat Nixon, did. Nixon shared a prediction made by Pat in the letter. He wrote, "She is an expert on politics and she predicts that whenever you decide to run for office you will be a winner!" Trump shared the letter in a post on Truth Social promoting his book "Letters to Trump." He said, "President Richard Nixon wrote to me, that when I decide to run for office I will be...

Tucker Carlson predicted the Nashville shooting last week. Not the where. Not the day. But he rightly pointed out that the constant rhetoric about a non-existent trans-genocide was ginning up panic and a growing violent “resistance” in the trans community. Beege wrote about the rage in the trans community right now, and as usual, she hit the nail on the head.It is pretty stunning how prescient he was.Last week, Tucker warned us about exactly what happened today: pic.twitter.com/yDetBzANYH— End Wokeness (@EndWokeness) March 28, 2023It is striking how extreme the rhetoric has become, and how non-trans people on the Left have been...

Conservatives sounded the alarm following news that former President Donald Trump expects to be arrested on Tuesday based on “illegal leaks” from the Manhattan district attorney’s office. Republican lawmakers and conservative figures and commentators said the predicted arrest of Trump, who is running for president in 2024, shows how the justice system is “weaponized against all Americans” and warned that the United States is turning into a “banana republic.” Even so, many conservatives wager an arrest would only further reveal the extent of Democrat corruption, ultimately skyrocketing support for Trump’s presidential run.

In this fourth year of Visual Capitalist's Prediction Consensus (now part of their more comprehensive 2023 Global Forecast Series), they’ve learned a few things about the universe of predictions, experts, outlooks, and forecasts.Experts are reasonably good at predicting the future one year out, though they are also in a strong position to help shape the future through their influential thought leadership and actions.Situations can and will flare up in unexpected ways, which can have knock-on effects on the whole system (e.g. COVID-19, Ukraine invasion).Experts are just as susceptible to hype as the rest of us, as evidenced by the glut...

A TikTok true crime sleuth is standing by her claim that a University of Idaho professor of gender and sexuality is involved in the horrific murders of four students in November despite a lawsuit The Texas-based sleuth, Ashley Guillard, who uses tarot cards and other readings to help her make assertions regarding true crimes, was named in the lawsuit filed in Idaho by Professor Rebecca Scofield. Cops have also said Scofield had nothing to do with the killings, and that they've confirmed she was in Oregon when they took place. Guillard told NewsNation: 'When I go to court and they...

Buckingham Palace ablaze Nostradamus predicted 2K23 will see “Celestial fire on the royal edifice.” Taken literally, this could mean a meteor is headed straight for Buckingham Palace, burning down the house if you will. On a more metaphorical tip, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who recently released a “bombshell” Netflix series detailing the dark deeds committed against them by the crown, have taken aim with a different kind of fire power, lighting up and tearing down the reputation of the royal family as we know it. World War III The prophecy points to the conflict escalating into a full scale...

The book also claims that King Charles III will abdicate and Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, will become the next monarch, instead of his brother William, the new Prince of Wales Nostradamus, the 16th-century French seer and astrologer, has been famous for his predictions. He has been credited with making accurate prophecies of the rise of Hitler, the 9/11 attacks and the wars in Europe. Now, following Queen Elizabeth II’s demise, the name of the French astrologer is surfacing again in UK, as it is being said that Nostradamus predicted the exact year of the monarch’s death in cryptic...

In 1989, the Associated Press relayed a warning from a U.N. official: "A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000." In 1967, a best-selling book came out called “Famine 1975! America’s Decision: Who Will Survive?” It predicted mass starvation around the developing world due to increasing population. “Today’s crisis can move in only one direction – toward catastrophe,” it warned. Global cooling was once a worry to many, such as University of California at Davis...
