Students Protest at Planned Parenthood Clinic to Conclude 40 Days for LifeNovember 3, 2009 Christendom College's pro-life student group, Shield of Roses, held its biggest protest in over 30 years of existence. On October 31, over 200 students, faculty, staff, and visitors traveled to Washington, D.C., to peacefully protest their opposition to abortion at the Planned Parenthood clinic, located just north of the White House, on 16th Street. The group protests at this same clinic each Saturday morning during the academic year, but normally only around 20-30 students make the trek into D.C. on a weekly basis. Once a semester,...

FROM THE PASTOR In the 1940's, totalitarian regimes tried to silence the Church. Entire sections were reserved for priests in Dachau and Auschwitz, where St. Maximilian Kolbe was injected with carbolic acid. In Yugoslavia, Bishop Misic of Mostar was threatened for decrying the massacre of women and children. The Greek Archbishop of Athens risked his life when he solemnly cursed the German plenipotentiary. The newspapers mocked Cardinal van Roey, Primate of Belgium, for repudiating Nazi eugenics. When Cardinal Hinsley of Westminster spoke out after 120 Salesian priests were slaughtered in Poland, European journalists accused him of "bad faith." A Fascist...

Sanger's account of her talk to the Ku Klux Klan Given Margaret Sanger's preoccupation with race (see previous article), it should come as no surprise to anyone that Sanger would accept an invitation to give a speech to an organization that also has a preoccupation with race - the Ku Klux Klan. Not only did Sanger accept the invitation, but the excerpt below from her own 1938 autobiography indicates the she got along quite well with members of a New Jersey branch of the Ku Klux Klan, eventually getting a "dozen invitations to speak to similar groups." Perhaps this is...

Planned Parenthood of Greater Northern New Jersey’s Center for Family Life Education held its sex education conference on November 18th and 19th, 2010 at the Imperia Conference Center in Somerset, NJ. Roughly half the attendees were NJ educators whose $250 conference fee, daily salaries and substitute salaries were paid for by their school districts. At first glance it would appear that this conference was intended to enhance the knowledge base of health educators and as the program guide stated, “keep our communities safe and healthy.” In reality these two days did not fit the criteria of a health conference. The...

Mike Wallace interviews Margaret Sanger. December 3, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In 1957, an aging Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood and the international birth control movement, agreed to an interview with CBS News’ Mike Wallace. In stark contrast with the sympathetic reception Sanger could expect to receive today in a network television interview, Wallace hammered Sanger with difficult questions and caught her in contradictions, while Sanger squirmed, fidgeted, and denied statements she had made only a week earlier in pre-interview discussions with CBS staff. This fascinating and sometimes chilling interview with Sanger can be found at the website of the...

Dear Pro-Life Friends: Governor Christie delivered his budget address today for the 2011 budget. Among the programs he proposed completely eliminating was funding for family planning. Planned Parenthood dominates the network of family planning organizations in New Jersey. Last year, Corzine allocated $7.6M to family planning agencies. NJ has the second highest rate of teen abortions in the nation. For years, Planned Parenthood has been part of the problem and not the solution. Planned Parenthood promotes abortion and refers minors for abortion without parental involvement. Two of the Planned Parenthood organizations which receive family planning money also perform abortions. Although they claim...

MARTIN COUNTY, Florida, March 11, 2010 - After four years of dedicated activism, a group of Florida pro-lifers is celebrating a "David and Goliath victory" after consistent pressure apparently forced a Planned Parenthood program not to re-apply for a county grant. Planned Parenthood of South Florida and the Treasure Coast has acknowledged it will not request a $50,000 grant from the Martin County Children’s Services Council for its La Promesa program, which was aimed at teaching the Hispanic community about contraception and abortion, in fiscal year 2010/11. While Planned Parenthood blamed "the unrelenting harassment by radical community members" for their...

"..Dr. Tiller’s murder is an enormous loss for our movement and for women and their families across America. He provided abortions to women late in their pregnancy and under some of the most difficult medical circumstances. Dr. Tiller had been harassed by abortion opponents for much of his career – his clinic was burned down, he was shot in both arms by an abortion protestor, and he was recently targeted for investigation by Phill Kline in Kansas, with a jury acquittal coming just a few months ago. None of this stopped George Tiller from his commitment to providing women and...

Mike Pence has launched what will surely be a quixotic campaign to strip Planned Parenthood of its funding. Pence announced today, on the anniversary of Roe v Wade, that he will press Congress to act against the big-box abortion provider by stopping the millions of dollars it receives each year from the federal government. After HR 614’s introduction yesterday, it has already gained 61 co-sponsors:

Hit with declines in funding from the economic crisis and the Madoff scandal, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America is laying off around 20% of its staff. Roughly 30 people were let go earlier this week, according to a source who works for the nonprofit. Executives at Planned Parenthood confirmed the layoffs, but declined to give more details. “As with many other nonprofit organizations, Planned Parenthood has had to make staff reductions at our headquarters due to the challenging economic times facing our country,” said Maryana Iskander, chief operating officer at the agency. “While taking this action is never easy,...

"Planned Parenthood will gladly accept donations...

It’s not Osama Bin Laden, Saddam Hussein or Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. It’s not even Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot or Adolph Hitler. No, according to Keith Olbermann — that blinkered liberal extremist who plays a newsman on TV — Wendy Wright, President of Concerned Women for America (CWA), is “the worst person in the world.” While discussing abstinence education during a recent interview on the Fox News Channel’s Special Report, Wright accurately pointed out that the most strident devotees of that abysmal failure tagged “comprehensive sex education” are most likely to benefit financially when children and teens become pregnant or contract sexually...

If you thought Planned Parenthood couldn't go any lower, think again. The latest "public service announcement" by Planned Parenthood Golden Gate, which the organization's Web site boasts is aimed at 18-24-year-olds and set to air on MTV, features a ridiculously stereotyped homosexual flight attendant showering condoms, patches, and pills on members of his "Mile High Club" before coming on to the jet's male pilot.
