  • Intrusive Emergency Laws "To Stop ISIS Terrorists"

Predictably, having so many terrorists in our midst - in addition to the danger - will have the consequence of more intrusion in our personal lives and more state power. From The Telegraph, "Emergency laws to monitor phone and internet records 'to stop terrorists'": Emergency laws will be brought in next week to force phone and internet companies to hold records of customers’ calls, texts and visits to websites. The fast-track measures are necessary to defend national security against the terrorist threat from Iraq and Syria, David Cameron said. The consequences of not acting are “grave”, the Prime Minister...

Islam, the religion of death not peace, continues its winning streak. President Obama shows many signs of approval. An article posted by Daniel Greenfield at Front Page Magazine and republished at Warsclerotic is titled "Israel’s War with the Muslim Brotherhood." It makes a powerful case supporting this thesis: Israel has become a flashpoint in the region because it is the only place where an armed non-Muslim minority has been able to make a stand against Muslim genocide.  Israel has been fighting the forces of the Muslim Brotherhood in Gaza since right after the Holocaust. Its soldiers are fighting so that the same forces...

United, Delta and USAir have suspended all flights to Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport after a Hamas rocket this afternoon landed in Yahud, some 5 kilometers from the airport (Hat Tip: NY Nana). The White House says that it did not order the flights suspended, but Delta said it made its decision in coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration. Delta said it suspended service to and from its New York JFK hub "until further notice," while the Israel Airports Authority would only confirm that the carriers had suspended flight scheduled for Monday. US Airways has not yet released a...

I think the picture above was intended to be humorous. It's not. It really happened. Parents of wounded soldiers spoke to Kol Yisrael on Tuesday and shared some of the disturbing stories they had heard from their sons. They said soldiers have repeatedly seen young children in Sheijaya, Gaza, be sent out into the streets with guns to try to attack IDF troops. One parent reported that terrorists had run at IDF soldiers with a gun in one hand and a baby in the other, apparently in hopes that the soldiers would see the child and hold their fire....

Monday, July 21, 2014 The Noose Around Israel's Neck Posted by Daniel Greenfield @ the Sultan Knish blog Israel is being hanged on a public gallows erected on the grounds of the United Nations with yards of rope gleefully supplied by the Muslim world. But the hangmen are mostly Westerners who still think that the Muslim lynch mob at their doorstep can be pacified with the death of a single victim. There are three things you can do when you are about to be hanged. You can walk proudly, recite a glorious line or two to embed your martyrdom in...

  • The smell of fear coming off Mark Begich can be picked up even on the “outside”

Mark Begich is the Democrat Senator from Alaska because the Democrats smeared the good name and reputation of Ted Stevens, the Republican who held the seat until 2008. Stevens was savaged by the Democrat controlled media and criminally charged with being corrupt. Although he was pretty much cleared before the election, the people of Alaska decided “better safe than sorry.” In Begich they got worse not better and plenty to be sorry about. Begich delivered not for Alaskans but for Barack Obama and Harry Reid when he joined in the sneaky Christmas Eve passage of a bill the Senate Democrats...
  • TN:Another Restaurant Welcomes Armed Citizens

This sign is posted on three doors of the Shiloh Brew and Chew in Maryville, TN A Tennessee restaurant is welcoming armed citizens.   The decision was made after the owner read about a convenience store manager that was shot after putting up a "No Weapons Allowed" sign, and after she lost business because some customers thought that she did not allow armed citizens inside.   From wbir.com: "They had put up a sign that said 'No Weapons Allowed' and they were robbed at gunpoint two days later. The convenience store manager was shot," said Floyd. "And that got me thinking....

A federal appeals court handed down a ruling this morning that could be problematic for ObamaCare. As just reported, “A judicial panel in a 2-1 ruling said such subsidies can be granted only to those people who bought insurance in an ObamaCare exchange run by an individual state or the District of Columbia—not on the federally run exchange HealthCare.gov.” You can read the entire appeal here.
  • Why would PPP ask McDaniel voters if they would support CSA in 2nd Civil War?

Why would an honest polling company ask Chris McDaniel’s supporters if they favored a second Civil War and if so, which side they would support? These are the questions one has to ask after reading Public Policy Polling’s (PPP) report on its survey of Mississippi voters on the U.S. Senate race between incumbent Republican Thad Cochran and Democrat challenger Travis Childers. What was the purpose of these questions? Who paid them to ask these questions and why? Public Policy Polling (PPP) is a Democrat polling firm based in Raleigh North Carolina. Thad Cochran’s team has strong connections to Democrats; some...

You can edge your way out of Obama’s silly cow script by recognizing that his war is largely based on the big talk of endless, going-nowhere rhetoric. The rhetoric of lecturing an under-duress Israel, a patently useless Obama rhetoric that will never stop Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from defending his own country; the Obama rhetoric of naming the over flooding of the southern US border with illegal aliens as a ‘humanitarian crisis’, without mention that it was a crisis that originates with him; the rhetoric of throwing a safety net via executive order for the protection of all LGBTs that...

I was reading a political blog the other day when my computer screen suddenly went dark. On came the burning question: "Who Would Make a Better Speaker of the House: John Boehner or Trey Gowdy?" Great. Just the sort of speculation that Republicans need in order to take our eyes off the burning issues of the day, and maybe even start a fight in the GOP ranks on an ill-timed matter. Well, it wouldn’t be the first time. snipBut this is hardly the time to suggest that John Boehner is an incompetent leader. After all, he is in the process...
  • If only the IDF had Mujahadeen Magical Munitions®

Elder of Ziyon blog ^ | 22 July 2014 | Elder of Ziyon
The IDF spends hundreds of millions of dollars and untold thousands of man-hours on high-tech weapons and low-tech methods meant to ensure the absolute minimum of innocent lives lost in a conflict. Advanced visual systems, multiple layers of legal consultation, and even thousands of pamphlets - all designed to keep innocent people alive while targeting the terrorists hiding among them. But it turns out that the Jewish state could have saved lots of that money and time. Because Hamas and the other terrorists have the most sophisticated, advanced weapons known to man. Mujahadeen Magical Munitions® are specially designed not to...

The answer of course is that we no longer are one people. E pluribus unum is dead. The melting pot has been replaced with a toxic brew of “diversity”, of which our open borders policy - endorsed by members of both name brand parties—is one component that leads down the same path. The third world has arrived and it will be this nation’s future…unless Americans will get off their collective duffs and fight back. Some, in places such as Westminster, Maryland; Oracle, Arizona; Vassar, Michigan; Greece, New York are doing just that.
  • A blow to Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood as Israel crushes Hamas

Experts in the Middle East conflict expected to see a demand on Israel to liberate particular terrorists as a ransom for the kidnapped boys. Such exchanges have been typical of the past. But why not this time? The answer: Hamas wanted to entice Egypt into warfare with Israel in order to help the Muslim Brotherhood regain power in Egypt. Hamas had a broader agenda for the kidnappings, murders, and rocket fire into Israel. Its aggression stirred up pro-Palestinian, pro-Hamas opinion by Egypt’s politicians, journalists and media in order to put pressure on Al-Sisi’s new government to help the “oppressed” Gazans....

Texas Governor Rick Perry announced Monday afternoon that he is sending 1,000 members of the Texas National Guard to the U.S.-Mexican border. “Over the years I have repeatedly called on the federal government to live up to its responsibility of protecting this great nation by securing the border,” said Perry, who added that he will “not stand idly by while our citizens are under assault and little children from Central America are detained in squalor.” Under assault might be an understatement. According to Perry, more than 203,000 illegal aliens responsible for committing more than 640,000 crimes, including 3000 homicides, have...
  • Affirmative Action In College Grading

    07/22/2014 4:30:55 AM PDT · by LeoMcNeil · 29 replies
    W. Lee Hansen, an economics professor at the University of Wisconsin, has argued for affirmative action in grading. The distribution of grades should be based on race rather than merit according to the professor. One imagines that a certain percentage of minority and female students would be required to get A’s regardless of whether they actually achieved an A grade. It is unclear whether the same is true at the bottom of the grading scale, though considering the purposes behind the professor’s proposal it’s unlikely. This sort of proposal isn’t just racist and sexist against white men. It’s racist and...

I’ve heard from tons of people regarding yesterday’s  “What’s Your Superpower” post. Some who previously hadn’t realized they possessed superpowers, like HHS. Until they read my blog, HHS had contended they had “no legal authority to exclude the U.S. territories from ObamaCare.” Then (ahem) upon “reflection” HHS: discovered new (super) powers after "a careful review of this situation and the relevant statutory language," that enabled them to 'selectively exempt' American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, and Virgin Islands from Obamacare. Most impressive, as up till now only Barry and DOJ were allowed to circumvent the law of the...
