“[T]his Black Lives Matter group is nothing more than an American born terrorist group brought on by the lie of the hands up don’t shoot during the criminal thug Michael Brown incident. The FBI and other Government Law Enforcement groups need to step up and put a stop to this. “… When a black thug is killed by police they are all over it as is Mr. Barack Obama. However when a police officer white, black or any race is murdered for doing his job the media is short with its reporting or not at all. When a white person...

A Missouri man suspected of fatally shooting a Kentucky state trooper was an active supporter of the "Black Lives Matter" movement who advocated against violence, a Facebook page shows. Joseph Thomas Johnson-Shanks, who was shot dead by police Monday morning, appears to have regularly posted videos and articles on police shootings under the pseudonym "Jay MileHigh," Vocativ reported. On that Facebook page, photos appear to show the 25-year-old St. Louis man attending a funeral service for Michael Brown, who was shot dead by a Ferguson police officer in 2014. It also shows him attending local protests in the days and...

When Ahmed Mohamed went to his high school in Irving, Texas, Monday, he was so excited. A teenager with dreams of becoming an engineer, he wanted to show his teacher the digital clock he'd made from a pencil case. The 14-year-old's day ended not with praise, but punishment, after the school called police and he was arrested. A photo shows Ahmed, wearing a NASA t-shirt, looking confused and upset as he's being led out of school in handcuffs. "They arrested me and they told me that I committed the crime of a hoax bomb, a fake bomb," the freshman later...

Update at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday: At a press conference this morning, Irving Police Chief Larry Boyd said charges won't be filed against Ahmed Mohamed, the MacArthur High School freshman arrested Monday after bringing what school officials and police described as a "hoax bomb" on campus. Boyd said the device -- confiscated by an English teacher despite the teen's insistence that it was a clock -- was "certainly suspicious in nature. "The student showed the device to a teacher, who was concerned that it was possibly the infrastructure for a bomb," Boyd said. School officers questioned Ahmed about the device and...

The below article appears in our "Police Under Fire" special report. (Click here to download a PDF of the full report.) On December 18, 2014, President Obama signed an executive order creating the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing. In May 2015, the task force came out with its Final Report, which is commonly given the title “21st Century Policing.”One of the report’s recommendations, which the Obama-friendly media fixated on, concerns greater restrictions on transfers of military equipment to local police agencies. However, as we reported in a related article ("What's Happening to Our Police?"), the new “accountability” rules...

A Long Island woman’s insistence that she owns a BMW landed her in a psych ward at Harlem Hospital. The doctors believed she was delusional and suffering from bipolar disorder — but she was actually telling the truth, a lawsuit claims. Kam Brock’s frightening eight-day “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” ordeal at the mental facility included forced injections of powerful sedatives and demands she down doses of lithium, according to medical records obtained by PIX11 from her attorney. Brock said it all started at a traffic light in Harlem after she was pulled over by an officer for allegedly...

A killer's Facebook page confesses from beyond the grave A Black Lives Matter supporter was killed by police yesterday after he shot a rookie Kentucky State Trooper to death following a high speed chase. This murder is the latest in a series of cop-killings nationwide committed by aggrieved African-Americans who falsely claim blacks are perennial victims of racial discrimination at the hands of law enforcement. The virulently racist Black Lives Movement, which formed after the death of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida, in 2012, has been promoted by President Obama who has gone out of his way to foment race-based...

Sheka was attending the Combined Law Enforcement Association of Texas convention near the hotel. According to the El Paso arrest affidavit, Sheka was engaged in a conversation with a female server near the hotel bar. The conversation allegedly turned inappropriate when Sheka began making comments of a sexual nature and ultimately touched the female inappropriately as she walked past him. The server told Sheka not to do that and walked away, escorted by another male, when Sheka pulled out a pistol and fired one round into a nearby wall.

In a court order issued Monday, South Carolina Judge Clifton Newman ruled that former North Charleston police officer Michael Slager will continue to be held without bond while he awaits trial on first degree murder charges in the March shooting of Walter Scott, a killing captured on cellphone video. “After careful consideration of all of the evidence presented and the nature and circumstances of the offense, the Court finds that the release of Defendant would constitute an unreasonable danger to the community,” Newman wrote. Attorneys for Slager and Scott’s family spent two days last week debating whether he should be...

The federal government has been busy creating unconstitutional agencies co-opting policing while simultaneously using a “carrot and stick” approach — unconstitutional federal aid and federal mandates — to absorb and coerce the local police, transforming them into instruments of an emerging national police force. This subversive transformation of America’s way of policing has been under way for a long time. The American ideal of local police — locally funded and locally controlled — whose job it is to protect the public against violent and fraudulent criminal elements that will always be found in every society, is being radically changed. Over...

A virulent antipolice campaign has made police officers reluctant to do their jobs. The media amplify that message on a daily basis. “I’m deliberately not getting involved in things I would have,” a NY City officer says. “I won’t get out of my car for a reasonable-suspicion stop; only if there’s a violent felony committed in my presence.” Violent crime has surged. Homicides up 76% in Milwaukee, 60% in St. Louis, and 56% in Baltimore compared with the same period in 2014. “There’s a total lack of respect out there for the police,” says a New York sergeant. “Perps feel...

A former Chicago cop was in jail today, accused of threatening people involved in investigating the deadly shooting of a Fox Lake, Illinois, police officer. On Friday, a man later identified as retired Chicago Police Officer Joseph Battaglia, blocked his number and called the Lake County Coroner’s Office, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said. "The subject said he was a 'retired police officer' and threatened to harm all of the Task Force members, as well as all of the other investigators involved in the death investigation of Fox Lake Police Lieutenant [Charles Joseph] Gliniewicz," the Sheriff's Office said in a...

Not so much newsy as just something nice to share on a Sunday afternoon. Yesterday a massive number of folks showed up to continue to honor the memory of Deputy Darren Goforth, and perhaps equally to celebrate the lives of his fellow officers who remain on watch now that his has ended. The Police Lives Matter gathering was probably seen by some activists as a poke in the eye to the Black Lives Matter movement, but from the looks of things there wasn’t anyone in a mood to apologize for it. (Story summary after the video from USA Today.) HOUSTON,...
