This past Sunday, career-long reprobate and now public anti-semite and veteran receiver DeSean Jackson was in town with the Rams. He was granted the double-standard free-pass treatment from media and NFL officialdom. It’s a double-standard so transparent and common as to make the fair-minded respond with a this-is-how-it-is shrug. I still can’t. And won’t. Jackson disseminated a quote incorrectly attributed to Adolf Hitler, along with the Jew-bashing ravings of lunatic Louis Farrakhan, to support his position that Jews have been mandated to enslave blacks. Jackson then made one of those sorta, kinda apologies that he didn’t “intend” to hurt anyone’s...

You can come out, now, Roger! In his continuing role as the NFL’s Neville Chamberlain — the British prime minister who appeased Nazi Germany until it was too late to prevent World War II — Roger Goodell continues to pander to the bad acts at the risk of imperiling the good and welfare — and value — of the NFL. Goodell has proven he would rather offend the NFL’s most devoted, fair-minded fans than the league’s most offensive players.

“Free the Slaves in Nigeria and the Congo” would be good. Both African countries still enslave blacks, but the BLM movement and its affiliates aren’t interested. They’re working on freeing American slaves, though that freedom was won in a war that cost 650,000 mostly white lives 157 years ago. OK. Then how about this: “Stop the Slaughter! — B.H.”

To save time and syllables, we’re going journo-green today. Thus “common sense” will be replaced by “it,” as in “getting it.” And that’s the point: “it” doesn’t matter, not anymore. It doesn’t matter that the absurd, the grossly inaccurate and the just plain stupid easily can be eliminated. It is what it is. And that’s it. There will be no deviation from, let alone elimination of, the ridiculous, no matter how self-evident.

Last Sunday, this column accused much of the national TV news media of pandering to the bad guys, especially to Islamist radicals and Muslim mass-murderers to whom the M-word — murder — is never attached. Absurdly discreet, delicate phrasing and politely vague references, I wrote, replace words that speak cold facts. The very next morning, this past Monday, CNN presented an opportunity to judge for yourself: On Nov. 5, 2009, Major Nidal Malik Hasan, a US Army psychiatrist stationed at Ft. Hood, Texas, went on a shooting rampage that left 13 murdered and 30 wounded. Hasan was shot and paralyzed.
