Parents at Rose City Middle School are outraged at the behavior of a school board member and several teachers. Neal Erickson, a former teacher at the middle school in Ogemaw County, was convicted of having sex with an eighth grade student. Though he is in custody, parents are upset that a school board member and six teachers have publicly supported Erickson. A South Florida flight attendant has been charged with raping a 10-year-old boy more than 100 times.Padilla-Cruz was released on $200,000 bond. The arrest warrant says the boy, who is now 15, said Padilla-Cruz raped him almost daily between 2007 and 2008 while he was living with the boy's family in Bridgeport. BURNET — A Burnet County jury on July 18 sentenced 40-year-old Robert Michael Arteaga to 23 consecutive life sentences after he was found guilty of multiple child sex assault and child pornography charges, according to the 33rd/424th District Attorney’s Office. “The grooming was there from the beginning,” said Assistant District Attorney Stacy Street. “It was her biological father, and it was happening as often as two to three times a week.” Arteaga was convicted on 23 counts of sexual assault of a child and 17 counts of possession of child pornography after a trial that lasted four days in Burnet...

Police say a 5-year-old girl is safe after being the victim of an apparent abduction. Relatives of Joceyln Rojas said she is doing "well" after being abducted for more than two hours Thursday. Two Pennsylvania teens are being hailed as heroes after they chased down a man in a car who had snatched a five-year-old girl from her grandmother's front yard - on their bikes. Jocelyn Rojas, five, was missing for two hours yesterday when Temar Boggs and a friend saw the child in a car near Lancaster Township and gave chase. Seattle — Omar Abdelbadie, a 22-year-old neurobiology major and member of the dean's list, was arrested by Seattle police Monday night for investigation of raping a 12-year-old girl at his apartment near campus Sunday. The Messmer High School teacher accused of sexually assaulting two male students is expected in court Monday afternoon for a preliminary hearing. Megan Garland, 28, is charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child.
