The McCain campaign went looking for a major anchor to be awarded the blessing and the curse of the first Sarah Palin interview -- a blessing for ratings and a curse from all the competitors who would accuse the winners of being soft on Republicans. At CBS, Katie Couric had wallowed in fan-club-president questions to Hillary Clinton about her "pure stamina," so she couldn't be first. Lots of groups were there. LA Answer, the peace group, was aggressive and loud. The Obama supporters were subdued. AARP was there, as was a large group of Ron Paul Supporters. There was a large anti abortion group. Every one of the Pro - McCain supporters agreed that the border needs to be secured. Law Enforcement was great, horse patrol was there. A Few of the LA Answer Peace advocates had to be detained for pushing and shoving. Mc Cain was much more on point than Obama, who seemed to be vague and rambling.

S. Korean riot police are firing orange-dyed water to anti-Bush left-wing protesters to tag them for later arrest. The colored water also contains tear gas agent. Bush is visiting S. Korea today.

Just wanted to point out the dueling rallies at High & Market streets, West Chester, PA. On one side of the street, patriots thanking the troops and supporting our president. On the other side, peaceniks (mostly wrinkled hippies), crying about the Iraq war. Motorist support seemed to be decidedly in favor of the pro-america rally, but not exclusively. Complicating matters were the kids running in and out of stop and go traffic to collect money for a basketball team while their idiot parents condoned the behavior.

In an amazing turn of events, the House of Representatives today voted AGAINST the supplemental funding for the war in Iraq!! The bill would have provided $166 billion in war funding, the largest single provision since the war started in 2003. In a move that no one expected, dozens of Republicans voted "present," which is the same as abstaining on the vote.
