The FBI has concluded its investigation into the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history without determining a motive. The FBI makes the conclusion in a report given to The Associated Press on Tuesday. After nearly 16 months, the agency says it can't determine why gunman Stephen Paddock killed 58 people and injured nearly 900 others in October 2017. Aaron Rouse is the special agent in charge of the FBI's Las Vegas office. He says Paddock acted alone when he planned and carried out the attack. The 64-year-old fatally shot himself after opening fire from his hotel suite. Rouse says...

What was Paddock’s motive? This report was derived from the LVMPD’s preliminary investigative report that was released on January 18, 2018. The findings from that preliminary report remain accurate and in accordance with this final report. This report was authored to provide the reader with more information about who, what, when, and where. Regretfully, this report will not be able to address the why.

Now the media are just taunting us with their tall tales about Stephen Paddock, the alleged Las Vegas shooter. Reputedly serious news organizations are claiming that he made a living playing video poker. That's like claiming someone made a living smoking crack. The media are either doing PR for the gambling industry or they don't want anyone considering the possibility that Paddock was using gambling to launder money. NBC News reports, with a straight face: "Las Vegas gunman earned millions as a gambler." A Los Angeles Times article is headlined, "In the solitary world of video poker, Stephen Paddock knew...

I imagine that this will light up the comments section, but someone needs to write it: the conspiracy theories cropping up over the Las Vegas shooting are as noisome as mushrooms on a dunghill after a spring rain. In discussing some of the more outlandish and offensive ones, I will not document them lest I drive more traffic to the authors' websites. Law enforcement is withholding information from us. Of course it is. It always does. That's called good practice before police have interviewed all who might have information – scarcely a revelation. Do I wish they would release all...

The Islamic State militant group (ISIS) has published a new infographic detailing how the jihadists orchestrated the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history on Sunday night, despite serious doubts as to the group's involvement by authorities. In the latest edition of ISIS's weekly Al-Naba online magazine, which was shared by its supporters Thursday on encrypted messaging app Telegram, the militant network provided more information intended to bolster its prior claims that assailant Stephen Paddock converted to Islam prior to killing 58 people and injuring hundreds more, when he opened fire on concertgoers from his 32nd floor room in the...

Multiple Excerpts: With more and more videos coming out that appear to document the 'multiple shooter' theory while Las Vegas Sheriff Joseph Lombardo claims its likely that at somewhere along the line, Stephen Paddock probably had some help, we take a look within this ANP story at an emerging theory that continues to pile up evidence - Stephen Paddock may have been an arms dealer working for a shadowy 'deep state' US government agency. Along with taking a look at several emerging warnings that he may have been selling weapons to ISIS terrorists within the United States. We also take...

On Friday morning I started the day on the curvy couch with "Fox & Friends" to discuss the latest developments in the Las Vegas attack and the Democrats' push for "gun control". The perpetrator of the deadliest single-shooter massacre in US history is so unlike his predecessors that it seems to me that nothing in his history is coincidental: there is a reason for everything, even if we will never know it - all the way down to, for example, such peripheral details as the fact that he owned property in both Mesquite, Nevada and Mesquite, Texas. It is also...

The killer was a white guy, a Christian by birth if not belief. He was not radical, just a crazed man given the means by the gun lobby to terrorize innocent concertgoers in Las Vegas on Sunday night, shooting to death 59 of them. Stephen C. Paddock was, by all accounts so far, an ordinary American. That is what most terrifies the right. And so, some on the far right have convinced themselves that Paddock could not be what he seems, what the authorities say he is. They say facts—alternative facts, perhaps—will inevitably reveal the truth, even as mainstream media...

On the night before Stephen Paddock carried out the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history, he twice called security at the Las Vegas hotel where he was staying to complain about loud music, a law enforcement source told CBS News. The noise was coming from the floor below his suite on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel casino on the Las Vegas Strip, CBS News senior investigative producer Pat Milton reports. Albert Garzon of San Diego told The New York Times that security guards asked him to turn down the country music playing in his suite on...

Investigators in Las Vegas are sifting through evidence they've gathered from the homes of the man who sprayed a concert crowd with gunfire. They've begun to interview his girlfriend. They've learned quite a bit about Stephen Paddock's past and preparation, but there is still no explanation why he damaged and destroyed so many lives. Ken Russell is a retired wildlife biologist who lives in the same neighborhood where the Las Vegas shooter lived, in the sunny retirement community of Sun City Mesquite. That the carnage on Sunday night was carried out by someone living there was a shock, he said....

The Islamic State continued insisting that they have a connection to Sunday night's massacre in Las Vegas with the publication of an infographic about the crime filling the second page of their 16-page weekly newsletter. Today's release marks the 100th issue of al-Naba, which is distributed in ISIS territories and online via mediums such as Telegram and social media as a PDF. ISIS claimed through their Amaq news agency Monday morning that the "Las Vegas attacker is a soldier of the Islamic State who carried out the attack in response to calls for targeting coalition countries." They claimed he had...

Nearly 4 days later after the suspect committed one of the biggest mass murders in U.S. history and still no motive? That seems a bit odd considering everthing. Even if the suspect was a mentally ill, he would still need some type of motive, whether real or perceived. They've interviewed his girlfriend, his brother, associates, acquaintances, relatives, friends and nothing? No social media? No on-line presence? No smart phone information? Nothing political going on? And they've searched everything he owns including the vehicles. And you know they've gone through his medical records thoroughly. We're told he was a gambler who...

Hmmmm. Did the Las Vegas Sheriff just reveal the direction their motive investigation is headed into why Stephen Paddock carried out the worst mass shooting in American History? The Sheriff at the end of his conference, in answering a question, said they are being very careful because there are “defense lawyers” out there, and they want to do things properly in case something else develops beyond just Paddock’s involvement as the shooter. He actually uses the word “radicalized”. . . .

Memphis imam Yasir Qadhi said that the Las Vegas massacre was a manifestation of “white privilege.” Texas imam Omar Suleiman tweeted ridicule of ISIS’ claim of responsibility for the attack: “Breaking: ISIS claims responsibility for hurricane Harvey saying he became Muslim days before hitting Houston.” They didn’t ridicule the ISIS claim, but unnamed U.S. officials did decisively dismiss it: Reuters reported that “two senior US officials said on Monday that there was no evidence that the shooter who killed at least 50 people in Las Vegas was tied to any international militant group….One of the two US officials discounted...

As I write this, there is only a small handful of facts, or alleged facts, that all of the talking heads in Big Media seem to agree upon regarding "the largest mass shooting in American history." First, 64 year-old Stephen Paddock, a white man and resident of Nevada, appears to have acted alone when he opened fire upon over 22,000 country music concert attendees in Las Vegas. Second, Paddock had a lot of weaponry, guns of various sorts, in the hotel room that he used as a sniper's nest. Third, Paddock is a relatively wealthy man who enjoyed gambling and...

Law enforcement officials are investigating whether Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock had been planning an earlier attack in the city, a law enforcement source confirmed to CBS News. According to a law enforcement source, investigators are looking at whether he may have first had his sights on the "Life is Beautiful" festival on Sept. 22 to Sept. 24. The source, who was briefed on the police investigation, said Paddock had apparently tried to get a room at The Ogden and another hotel in downtown Las Vegas, but apparently the specific suites he requested were booked. The source speculated that Paddock...
