Please discuss the Colorado recall election results here. I searched FR and did not find a thread. I have also searched the internet and the CO Secretary of State web site, and have been unable to find any results page for these elections. So, if anybody can find any info, please post here.

As you may know, Colorado will have a recall election on September 10 to remove two anti-gun senators from office. While Buckeye Firearms Association generally focuses on Ohio, this particular election involves New York City Mayor Bloomberg and could have national repercussions. Three BFA leaders have traveled to Colorado to help lead the fight. And you can be part of the battle as well.

Colorado Springs – Out: The boy who cried wolf. In: The girl who cried birth control. Desperate Democrats are imposing false-alarm feminist politics on a high-stakes recall election in Colorado this month. It’s a golden opportunity for independent-minded women to reject empty femme-a-goguery and tear up the Sandra Fluke card. On September 10, Colorado Springs and Pueblo will decide whether to boot two top state Democrats (state-senate majority leader John Morse and state senator Angela Giron) over their support for radical gun- and ammo-control measures spearheaded by outside special interests. Left-wing billionaires Michael Bloomberg of New York City and Eli...

For many years, the gun ban lobby has portrayed the National Rifle Association as the big money bully in the gun control debate, but stories published today and yesterday suggest that the real big spender is anti-gun New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who has dumped a wad of cash into thwarting a Colorado recall election in defense of two Democrats who could get the boot for backing that state’s new gun control laws. Bloomberg may not have spent any money in Washington State so far to help determine the future of a 15-page gun control initiative, but that battle really...

The right to keep and bear arms may have been stolen by the Colorado state legislature, but a posse of local lawmen is riding to the rescue. ... Elected sheriffs, as the top law enforcement officers within their counties, work for the citizens and taxpayers in their jurisdictions, not the federal government. Even the Supreme Court ruled that sheriffs cannot be compelled to follow federal dictates or mandates in a landmark case on gun control. Now, with Obama pushing hard for new restrictions on gun rights — finding strong support from some anti-Second Amendment Democrats in Congress and much of...

Former U.S. Secretary of the Interior and U.S. Sen. Ken Salazar made an appearance at the Steelworkers Hall in Pueblo on Sunday to speak on behalf of state Sen. Angela Giron, D-Pueblo, as her recall election campaign hits the home stretch. ... Salazar spoke to a group of about 30

Angela Giron, one of two Colorado state senators who is up for a recall election on Sept. 10 as a result of voting for new gun restrictions earlier this year, did not hesitate when I asked her over the weekend what the recall meant for New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg’s group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, and the rest of the national gun-control movement. “For Mayors Against Illegal Guns, if they lose even one of these seats, they might as well fold it up. And they understand that,” she said. ... Bloomberg’s heavy investment in the race has become an easy...

It never fails. Paint a Democrat into a corner (or let him do it to himself) and his true colors will start to show. The “moderate” and “reasonable” Democrat Governor of New-New-York (AKA: Colorado) has finally come out forcefully against the recall elections of some anti-gun members of the State Legislature. The two Democrat State Senators are facing recall attempts after they supported the recent slew of gun-control measures that were ultimately signed into law by Governor John Hickenlooper. “These recall elections cost a small fortune and do nothing to improve democracy or representative government,” Hickenlooper wrote in a letter...

Democrat National Committee Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) says the coming recall elections of Colorado state senators John Morse (D) and Angela Giron (D) are "a blatant attack on our Democratic principles." Voters are trying to recall Morse and Giron because of their support of gun control laws that banned rifle and pistol magazines larger than 15 rounds, banned shotgun magazines larger than eight rounds, and mandated a background check on every gun sale in the state, i.e., universal background checks. The laws also contained a new fee that will be added to every gun sale to pay for...

Democrat Senate President John Morse, who is battling a recall, took another hit Tuesday when Republican Bernie Herpin vowed to take a leadership role in passing legislation to protect children from sexual predators. It was a thinly veiled attack on Morse’s voting record. “As a father of three daughters and the grandfather of six young grandchildren, the safety of our children is an important issue for me,” declared Herpin. The Colorado Springs Police Protective Association hammered Morse earlier this month for claiming he passed laws to protect children from being victimized by sex offenders. Not so, declared CSPPA, referring to...

In a nationwide appeal sent moments ago via the Democratic National Committee, Gov. John Hickenlooper throws down hard against the upcoming recall elections of Senate President John Morse and Senator Angela Giron. ... Expanding background checks to cover all gun sales prevents violent criminals from acquiring guns. That means safer communities while also respecting the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Coloradans. These recall elections cost a small fortune and do nothing to improve democracy or representative government. They are intended to intimidate and punish a select number of Democratic legislators for daring to vote their conscience — for daring to...

The recall elections for two Democratic lawmakers has become a political soap opera — with subplots, new characters and daily developments — that Tuesday included a $350,000 donation from New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and a ruling by the Colorado Supreme Court. Senate President John Morse of Colorado Springs and Sen. Angela Giron of Pueblo face separate recall elections in their districts on Sept. 10 for supporting gun-control legislation in the 2013 session. Bloomberg's group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, supported the gun measures, which passed the Democratic-controlled legislature and were signed into law by Democratic Gov. John Hickenlooper. Bloomberg donated...

With less than two weeks until voters cast ballots in the first two recall elections in Colorado history, both state lawmakers defending their seats are taking legal action– again. On Tuesday, an attorney for Senate President John Morse, D-Colorado Springs, and Sen. Angela Giron, D-Pueblo, filed a cease and desist order with Xfinity asking the cable provider to stop airing an ad by a group supporting their recall ... Also Monday, Gov. John Hickenlooper asked the Colorado Supreme Court to weigh in on whether voters must vote yes or no on the first question of the two-part recall ballot —...

While most Americans will be chillin' out, maxin' and relaxin' this Labor Day weekend, dedicated patriots in Colorado are hard at work preparing for a groundbreaking special election day with nationwide repercussions. George Washington would be proud. On September 10, Democratic legislator and state Senate President John Morse of Colorado Springs faces a citizen recall for his sellout to New York anti-gun special interests, for his betrayal of transparency and accountability to constituents, and for his destructive economic policies that are driving thousands of jobs away. Also up for recall: Democratic legislator Angela Giron of Pueblo. In March, Democratic Gov....

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg wrote a personal check for $350,000 to Taxpayers for Responsible Democracy, the issues committee fighting the recalls targeting Senate President John Morse and Sen. Angela Giron. ... Billionaire Eli Broad also wrote a $250,000 check to the organization, which raised a total of $708,000 in contributions between April and Aug. 22. With exactly two weeks remaining until the Sept. 10 recall elections that will determine the fate of Morse and Sen. Angela Giron, D-Pueblo

With just weeks to go until state Sen. Angela Giron (D-Pueblo) is set to face voters in an unprecedented recall election triggered by her support for gun control legislation, a new radio ad is targeting the embattled lawmaker for backing an income tax hike and a controversial expansion of a government-imposed energy mandate. “Senator Angela Giron – so disappointing, so out of touch with Pueblo,” a female voice intones in the ad. “When big dollar interest groups pushed for more government energy mandates last spring, Senator Giron stood with them, not Pueblo. The results? Energy analysts promise higher utility bills...

UPDATE: Shellie Zimmerman Admits There Was No Gun During Altercation With Husband September 10 2013 by Dan Cannon Yesterday, we, along with the every other website in the world, reported that George Zimmerman was being questioned by police over a potential domestic disturbance with his estranged wife, Shellie Zimmerman. During initial reports, Shellie’s comments to a 911 operator were widely publicized in which she said Zimmerman was making threats while having his hand on a firearm. Police did not recover a firearm during the incident, and both Shellie and her father (who was allegedly hit by George Zimmerman) declined to...

Citizen journalists and activists with Revealing Politics were attacked as they filmed outside of polling places ahead of Colorado’s contentious recall. The journos can be seen on tape quietly going about their work when one videographer is repeatedly physically attacked by a man. ... The Colorado recall election of Senate President John Morse is one of the most nationally watched political events in the country. With the passage of a poorly-written and difficult to understand bill that now allows for same-day voter registration in effect for the recall elections, it became clear to Revealing Politics that we need to shine...
