Down here at Zuccotti Square, where the Occupy Wall Street protesters have been encamped for nearly four weeks, there is no one in charge. But there is a lot of organization. The protesters have organized themselves into a dozen or so "working groups" that deal with various issues. There's a security working...

Morgan Stanley is being considered to handle the deal after Goldman Sachs’ plans to sell Greek bonds to US and Asian investors this year fell through amid rumours that the Chinese had shunned Athens’ debt. George Papaconstantinou, Greece’s finance minister, would lead a roadshow to the US “after April 20” but in contrast with plans at the start of the year he would not...

"Democratic National Committee's press secretary Hari Sevugan said nationwide protests of democratic health care town hall events were "manufactured outrage" today on Washington Unplugged." That's the talking point repeated all over the mainstream media. Crap like this: These mobs are bussed in by well funded, highly organized groups run by Republican operatives and funded by the special interests who are desperately trying to stop the agenda for change the President was elected to bring to Washington. Despite the headline grabbing nature of these angry mobs and their disruptions of events, they are not reflective of where the American people are...

Sarah Palin is the hope of our nation. She is a self made politician, had no silver Republican spoon in her mouth, her shadow never graced the vaunted halls of liberal ivy league academe. That is a HUGE plus. She has the skills gleaned from her youth, of a frontier woman. She has common sense, reflects the values of our nation of steadfast patriotism, frugality of budgeting, compassion for the unborn, all the positive attributes of a Mother of our nation. She has faced corruption in her own state government and within the Alaskan Republican party and cleaned it up, and...

Chinese surgeons have performed the world's first penis transplant on a man whose organ was damaged beyond repair in an accident this year. The incident left the man with a 1cm-long stump with which he was unable to urinate or have sexual intercourse. Doctors spent 15 hours attaching a 10cm penis to the 44-year-old patient after the parents of a brain-dead man half his age agreed to donate their son's organ. Although the operation was a surgical success, surgeons said they had to remove the penis two weeks later. "Because of a severe psychological problem of the recipient and his...

UNITED NATIONS (AP) -- The Moroccan mission to the United Nations has announced it arrested six U.N. peacekeeping soldiers in Congo accused of sexually abusing local girls and discharged the contingent's commander. Fred Eckhard, the U.N. secretary-general's spokesman, on Monday said the announcement over the weekend showed "the Morrocan authorities attach as much importance to eradicating sexual abuse within U.N. peacekeeping missions as does the U.N." "The mission hopes that the vigorous and public reaction of Morocco will serve as an example and that other troop contributing countries will follow," he added. There have been more than 150 allegations of...

Kerry's Close So how can you tell when he's closing, people keep asking me. And when is he going to start? He is John Kerry, who I've watched in every election he's ever won. As best as I can tell, he started yesterday; the truth is, he really started today, taking questions and saying the same thing he did yesterday. For John Kerry, closing means discipline. It means defining the message, and sticking with it, hammering everything through it, until the end. "As I said in my speech yesterday," John Kerry kept saying in answer to questions today, and then...

That's what police believe is behind the $40,000 in stolen merchandise officers...

The criminals are better organised than Iraq's occupation administration By Patrick Cockburn in Basra 28 June 2003 In the city of Basra, Saddam Hussein erected 100 giant statues, cast in copper, of Iraqi military heroes killed in the Iran-Iraq war. They stood on plinths on a long quay beside the Shatt al-Arab waterway, their right arms raised and their fingers pointing in a threatening gesture towards the Iranian border a few miles away. The statues were a tempting target for Iraqi looters, eager to sell the copper. They have all been torn from their plinths and, with one exception, sold...

Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing. -- Abraham Lincoln Everyone needs to be organized. Few are. Getting organized and being productive is the province of successful people. There are, of course, quite a few successful folks who live through a muddled haze, but they're the exception rather than the rule. Getting organized is work, but it can be done effortlessly, and the effects can be liberating after the fog lifts. The moments saved soon become days that your life can now reclaim. Here is my advice to those wanderers...
