In giving Obama a "B" on jobs, O'Reilly states: “We had chaos, and Obama stepped in and...I think he stabilized the economy...” Last night, at least twice, O'Reilly pummeled his guest with the "fact" that unemployment has abated: "At the beginning of the year, we had 600,000 job losses a month! In November, it was only 11,000. You can't say that's not an improvement!". ___________________________ Well, Bill, I can say it's not improvement. Let's use an example. Charles owns a light manufacturing business with 350 employees: 3 manufacturing shifts---100 jobs each, plus 50 office jobs (sales/customer svc/management). When demand started...

John Stossel tells O’Reilly he’s going to Kick his butt in the ratings I remembered how 7 years ago when I was grassroots campaigning to get Stossel on Fox News. When they hired Greta instead I wrote this piece recommending that CNN, if they wanted to challenge Fox should hire John Stossel to take the 8:00PM time-slot and predicted that Stossel – who I feel is MUCH MORE acute than O’reilly – would beat him in the ratings. Well tonight, almost seven years later, Stossel who has been given a show on Fox Business Network during the 8:00PM time-slot was...

I’ll be on O’Reilly tonight to talk about the recent Climategate e-mails. How bad are they? They show that scientists at Britain’s Climate Research Unit – which the UN IPCC relies on for temperature data – tried silence dissent. From the Washington Post: In one e-mail, the center’s director, Phil Jones, writes Pennsylvania State University’s Michael E. Mann and questions whether the work of academics that question the link between human activities and global warming deserve to make it into the prestigious IPCC report, which represents the global consensus view on climate science. … “Kevin and I will keep them...

When Fox News' Bill O'Reilly hosts former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee tonight, O'Reilly might consult the "Arkansas Blog" at the Arkansas Times for some questions to pose to the man who commuted Maurice Clemmons' prison sentence. Don't hold your breath. "What do you think the chances are of a Fox host asking tough questions of another Fox host?" asks Arkansas Blog. Here is what inquiring minds in Clemmons' former home state would like to find out, courtesy of the Blog: "Will Huckabee reveal office memos that led to his recommendation for commutation?" "Will he reveal office communication with the parole...

Let the battle begin. The two Celtic warriors, Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity, are now officially in a duel to the death after Hannity surpassed O'Reilly as the top cable newscaster of the past week. Sean Hannity's Wednesday interview with Sarah Palin averaged 4.2 million viewers, which was sufficient to crack the top ten telecasts in all of cable last week. O'Reilly's interview with Palin averaged 4.12 million viewers. It marks one of the first times that "Hannity" has ousted "The O'Reilly Factor" from the top spot and sets up a showdown between the two opinionated personalities, who both hail...

On the one hand he's against the proposed Health Care plan and he knows a fraud, or poorly written/executed legislation when he see one. On the other hand, he's an AGW believer. How long will it take for him to cover this story and HOW will he cover it?

The huge crowds at Sarah Palin's book signings were to be expected, and the governor's publisher, HarperCollins, is celebrating. Her book sold 300,000 copies the first day. Total in print is now 2.5 million. That's huge and testimony to Sarah Palin's star power. Likewise, the rise of Fox News commentator Glenn Beck, who drew 25,000 folks at The Villages in Florida over the weekend, according to the local paper there. Beck is promoting his book and encouraging conservative and independent Americans to take back power from the liberal Obama administration.

When Bill O’Reilly asked Sally Quinn questions regarding Sarah Palin’s faith on The Factor, Quinn was all over the answer board.
-
But it appears Bill O’Reilly went rogue, putting a teaser of his interview with Palin (above) up on his own YouTube channel – a pre-emptive strike, if you will, against Hannity’s exclusive. (A Fox News insider characterized O’Reilly’s reaction as “a hissyfit” when he learned Palin's interview with the third-rated Hannity would air first – which, you know, is hard to imagine.)

I had an interesting discussion with my wife the other night. We were both curiouis as to why radio talk show people such as Limbaugh, Levin, Hannity, do not promote or talk about Glenn Beck. I went to their various web sites and checked out what they recommend to read. It was interesting. Limbaugh - no Beck books. Levin - no Beck books. Hannity - no Beck books. Coulter - no Beck books. Ingraham - one Beck book. My wife and I came to the conclusion that the reason he is being shunned by the powers that be is due...

Former CNN host Lou Dobbs stuck to his guns when questions were raised if he was forced out at CNN in an interview with Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly. However, Dobbs did make one distinction - how his detractors decided to pile on when he was critical of President Barack Obama instead of former President George W. Bush. He elaborated on this on Fox News Channel's Nov. 16 "The O'Reilly Factor." "I discerned more of a difference between then, which was under the Bush administration, whom I was criticizing and now when it is the Obama administration and an entirely...

Here is video of Lt. Col. Ralph Peters on "The O'Reilly Factor" reacting to Obama's Fort Hood speech. Peters said he was offended when Obama said "the act at Fort Hood was incomprehensible" and "hard to comprehend." Peters said "no, it's not hard to comprehend. It was the act of an Islamist terrorist who gunned down 54 people because he believed he was doing the will of Allah in accordance with the Koran." Peters said "it's clear that the problem is Islam." Peters said he was also offended by all the speeches today because of the fact that there was...

Neil Cavuto and Bill O'Reilly in a cat fight over executive pay. Conficto gato or cat fight in Spanish. Too much. Neil Cavuto from FBN (which if you do not have ….DEMAND IT … tried desperately to explain to Bill O’Reilly, why controlling the pay of even those companies taking bailout money, is just a bad idea. It’s a slippery slope. O’Reilly, at his populist best, scoffs. But there is a turning point about midway through. The money line … Bill, there is no free market. Watch all the way through and he will convince you too.

THE GRATING COMMUNICATOR October 21, 2009 The Obama administration has attacked Fox News in order to prevent government corruption stories broken on Fox from bleeding into the other media, which are all-consumed with daily updates on Levi Johnston's Playgirl spread and Carrie Prejean's breast implants. That's understandable. But I think the administration should have picked someone other than David Axelrod to deliver the claim that Fox News is "not really news," inasmuch as Axelrod was behind the leak of scurrilous allegations in Jack Ryan's sealed divorce papers when he was running for a Senate seat against Obama. Talk about vicious...

O'Reilly said he believes "the military is not happy" with Obama's indecision. I hear that the White House... ...is actually blaming Fox News for the ills of the country not caused by Bush. Apparently Fox News and the republicans are far too much of a force to reckon with for the President and his congressional majorities. Do you think THAT is the message the White House is trying to send? I doubt it. I think that, like my ex-husband and his insane 2nd wife who have been harassing me for over twenty years, the President feels he can only hold the Administration together by identifying a common enemy. Obama and his staff...

Here is video of Dennis Miller on "The O'Reilly Factor" talking about FOX News and taking a shot at Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck. Dennis Miller talking about FOX News said "FOX I believe, is in the right lane but you still got rubber on the road, Hannity's gone off-road, and Beck, he's way down the road." He also talked to Graham about Afghanistan, where Graham said he thinks Obama will give Gen. Was up wearly today, and caught the 6 AM EDT re-run of the BOR show. When it first started, I admit I was dissappointed to find that Juan Williams was subbing for BOR, so I just kept the show on, while at the PC, figuring I'd change the channel when the impetus of being bored would provide the impetus to c hange the channel... Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham Thursday blamed the lack of civility in today's political discourse on voters' willingness to send confrontational representatives to Washington as well as the 24-hour news cycle, talk radio and organizations like MoveOn.org. "Can you imagine writing the Constitution today?" Graham said during a conversation with Jeffrey Goldberg at The First Draft of History, a conference in Washington, D.C. produced by The Atlantic, the Newseum and The Aspen Institute. He speculated that Fox News host Bill O'Reilly would complain that "Ben Franklin [is] giving in on something." Asked what he thinks of another Fox News personality, Glenn...

Bernie Goldberg 09/29/2009 appearance on O'Reilly Factor. Goldberg's veiled criticism of Glenn Beck. Goldberg attempts to attack FoxNews commentators as would-be journalists who aren’t fair-and-balanced covering rallies and tea parties, they “cheerlead”. Goldberg’s states “criticism [coming from MSM] is legitimate”. Goldberg's veiled attacks on Beck and Hannity, stating “don’t pretend you are being objective, and don’t say these tea parties are a cross section of America when they are not”. Goldberg accuses FoxNews of providing false information suggesting they [Beck and Hannity] portray Tea Parties are a cross section of America that include…as many liberal democrats as republicans?

Marc Lamont Hill has responded to my Newsreal post about The O'Reilly Factor's decision to make him their black in residence and to provide him a whole segment recently to share with us his views of the crisis with Iran. I pointed out that Hill's expertise, such as it is, is hip-hop culture -- the very low end, in other words, of popular music which is better known as rap. Why was Hill on at all? Because he's Fox's black academic. But what kind of academic? With an expertise in rap music, Hill has a professorship at Columbia University, illustrating...

Liberals scoff at any person who points out the obvious fact that the mainstream media is overwhelmingly biased to the left. And Fox News Channel, through the eyes of a liberal, is nothing but conservative propaganda. Cable news personalities on CNN and MSNBC discredit Fox, pretending that they haven’t been overshadowed by FNC’s success for years on end. The simple reality is that, especially recently, Fox News has been the only source of quality journalism and reporting in the cable news realm. The numbers speak for themselves; Fox is consistently on top. On the evening of Tuesday, September 15, Bill...

I'm a big fan of The O'Reilly Factor. That said, I find his continued promotion of Professor Marc Lamont Hill an insult to the intelligence of blacks particularly and his entire audience generally. Tonight he interviewed Hill for an entire segment on the subject of Iran, as though Hill had anything intelligent to say on the subject. "Do you think we should give Iran three months or six months to let the UN inspectors in?" How would Marc Lamont Hill know? How would he ever be in a position to make an intelligent speculation? By his own account, Hill is...

It may be time to start channeling Noah and begin building an ark. The world is a huge mess, and it's getting worse every day. Iran is on track to develop nuclear weapons, but global warming may incinerate us first. The Israeli-Palestinian hate fest rolls on, and Afghanistan is falling apart. Drug criminals have overrun Mexico, and Third World poverty is as horrific as ever. I think things are OK in Finland. This week President Obama implored the United Nations to do something, anything, to combat terrorism and global warming. The president was blunt: "Consider the course that we are...

Just how far has NBC fallen? The Jay Leno show scored roughly one-third the audience of ABC's or CBS's, but trails even Fox News. ABC: Grey's Anatomy (16.5 million) CBS: The Mentalist (14.3 million) Fox News: The O'Reilly Report (5.2 million*) NBC: The Jay Leno Show (5 million) *includes two airings, because Fox News Channel broadcasts simultaneously in all time zones. O'Reilly, Hannity reach out to ACORN camera duo It was fascinating to see the reaction on Fox News Thursday night to the announcement that ACORN was suing the filmmakers Hannah Giles and James O'Keefe, along with the Web site Breitbart.com, over the hidden camera recording that the two did at an agency office in Baltimore. There was Bill O'Reilly offering his sympathy to Andrew Breitbart, the founder of the Web site that first put the film online. Here is video of Glenn Beck talking with Bill O'Reilly tonight about his recent comments regarding John McCain, his interview with Katie Couric, and his belief that Israel will eventually strike Iran to keep them from obtaining nuclear weapons, if others do not prevent it first. Beck said he believed McCain would be worse as President than Obama, not because he does not respect McCain's war service, but because he thinks Americans are being galvanized to oppose the leftist policies of Obama whereas they would not have been as shocked by McCain's policies that are less radical, but not really...
