An unidentified Obama administration official exposed the name of the highest-ranking CIA officer in Kabul on Saturday by accidentally placing it on a list of names provided to a bunch of media outlets. The list contained the names of several senior U.S. officials who took part in a military briefing during President Barack Obama’s surprise Memorial Day visit to Afghanistan to glad-hand with the troops, reports The Washington Post.

France's national railway operator SNCF has ordered 2,000 new trains that are too large for many of the stations they are due to serve. The train operator has admitted failing to verify measurements it was given by the rail operator before ordering its new rolling stock. The costly mistake has sparked an urgent €50m operation to modify 1,300 platforms on the regional network. SNCF has admitted that one in six regional train stations is affected. The company often responds directly to disgruntled passengers, but was seemingly unaware that one of its replies included a lewd photograph. “@thatkatzkat We don’t like to hear this, Alex. It was a close call for one homeowner along Evans Street in Rockville trying to clear the ice off of his front steps. “[It was a] small fire on the outside of the house,” said Assistant Chief Scott Goldstein of Montgomery County Fire and Rescue. “The homeowner appeared to be using some type of torch device to melt ice near his front porch. An Alabama woman got more than she bargained for after she tried to clear toilet paper from her yard by setting it on fire and accidently burned down her house. Cheryl Crausewell's home and yard in Dora were TP'd by neighborhood kids on Saturday and the nightmare began when she and her son tried to quickly clear the paper from a tree with fire on Monday. Girl Gets Stuck in Washing Machine While Playing Hide and Seek A game of hide-and-seek ended with a 911 call Thursday, as a Utah girl got stuck in a washing machine she used as her hiding spot, KSTU reports. The girl was found by her aunt, who was home at the time, and tried to pull the girl out with no success. After using butter, peanut butter, and ice, as lubricants yielded no results, the mother called 911. Emergency crews were eventually able to relieve the panicked child from her predicament.
