California Rep. Adam Schiff suggested that an Oklahoma City-style bombing could happen due to public trust in the FBI being reduced by the House Intelligence Committee’s memo released this week. ABC’s George Stephanopoulos said, “You know, you talked about this strategy to discredit the Mueller investigation. Is it working?” Schiff responded by bringing up a hypothetical situation where a neighbor was buying “lots of fertilizer,” referencing the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.

Student activists at Oklahoma State University want the school's bias response team to have the power to punish students for racially insensitive statements. "We submit that that the university make an amendment to the student code of conduct's social justice legislation section to add language that will make 'racially insensitive and/or racist rhetoric and behavior made public knowledge' a punishable action," wrote the students, who call themselves "The Four Percent."

OKLAHOMA CITY – Drivers across Oklahoma can expect to pay more on some turnpikes next year. On Tuesday, the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority voted to increase the tolls of some routes by 2.5 percent in January. Experts predict that the increase will cost drivers between 5 cents and 10 cents more on their trip. As you may remember, tolls were increased on the state’s turnpikes in March by about 12 percent. At that time, turnpike officials warned that rates would increase again in 2018 and in 2019. Officials say another 2.5 percent increase is expected in 2019.

OKLAHOMA COUNTY - Work is set to begin next week on a controversial, new turnpike that will carve a path through eastern Oklahoma County. HOUSTON - U.S. Coast Guard officials are trying to make contact with a Texas-bound, single-engine plane they say is missing. Officials say the plane took off from Oklahoma City Wednesday and was headed to Georgetown Municipal Airport but diverted at some point and headed south. Coast Guard officials say they lost contact with the pilot after the plane flew past Freeport. The New Orleans Coast Guard is sending a plane to make communication with the aircraft. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — More than a dozen states banded together Monday to ask the U.S. Supreme Court to block a California law requiring any eggs sold there to come from hens that have space to stretch out in their cages. In a lawsuit filed directly to the high court, the states allege that California's law has cost consumers nationwide up to $350 million annually because of higher egg prices since it took effect in 2015. State officials have yet to find a private partner to help finance the construction of the final five miles of the Gilcrease Expressway, but they are closer to figuring out how much motorists will have to pay to use it.
