Senate Republicans were confident that they had the votes needed Friday to pass their tax plan as last-minute changes brought more GOP lawmakers on board.

Sens. Steve Daines, R-Mont., and Ron Johnson, R-Wis., earlier Friday said they would back the bill after securing further tax relief for pass-through businesses. Then, Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla., committed to supporting the plan, leaving Republican leaders confident that they had the support.

On Friday morning, Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn, R-Texas, called holdout Sens. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., and Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., the last two senators who need to get on board. The GOP can pass the legislation even if both senators oppose it over budget deficit concerns.

Doesn’t really matter what’s in the bill, just pass it, right?

alled holdout Sens. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., and Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., the last two senators who need to get on board

Those two liberal numbnuts are on their way out the door. So anything they added to it can't be good.

Good, the puke from OK backed down. Now they can ignore Liddle Corker and Flake(y). No trigger, give them nothing!

Once again, let Corker have his automatic trigger.

The supreme court ruled Gramm, Ruddman, Hollings spending triggers to reduce spending to be unconstitutional. The same case makes automatic taxing increases also unconstitutional.

Let's know our history folks! 1985 was not that long ago.

Trump should hold the 4000 page “Tax Bill “ up for the cameras and proudly say:

The CONgress has done a great job in sending this Tax Bill to me so I can sign it in to Law. As Soon as the Senate Majority Leader and Speaker of the House complete a Full Reading on the floor and in to the record of their respective Houses of Congress, I will sign it.

The American People deserve to know what is in it and they deserve to be Personally told by their Leaders.

“””last-minute changes brought more GOP lawmakers on board”””

Must be those timed tax increases that go into effect when/if the tax decrease fails to perform as hoped.

I think they may still be one short. Corker/Collins/Flake

Who will be the first to get bought off? My money’s on Corker.

There are millions of people in the $30,000 - $75,000 income bracket who made plenty of money in the stack market...thanks to President Trump.

Everyone who has a 401k or another plan has already reaped more than any tax cut.

Actually in regards to Corker's trigger, no it does not matter. The supreme court ruled it void.

We need to get smart folks.

Damn the deficit, full speed ahead.

The debt is $20 trillion. What's another few trillion, more or less, at this point?

Automatic spending cuts no, but automatic tax increases would be OK.
They work for Fedzilla.
They do what is good for Fedzilla.
