Infowars founder and radio host Alex Jones was in Cleveland Tuesday afternoon for the Republican National Convention. His comments over megaphone included, "The communists are a bunch of murdering scum worldwide, and George Soros is a Nazi-collaborator funding these organizations" and "We are here to promote a free, open election in this country and an open, free...

Ohio Gov. John Kasich on Tuesday defended his decision not to attend the Republican National Convention in his home state. Kasich, a former Republican presidential candidate himself, has refused to endorse Donald Trump or attend the convention. But he did speak across town in an interview with the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on the second day of the convention in Cleveland. "That's not where I think I need to be in terms of what I have stood for throughout the presidential campaign," Kasich said when asked why he wouldn't just "give in" and attend the nominating event. CLEVELAND, Ohio — A federal judge on Thursday scrapped the city of Cleveland's plans for a heightened-security zone that would have encompassed most of downtown during the Republican National Convention, saying that the restrictions are burdensome to people who want to express their free-speech rights. -Instead of suspending constitutional carry, why don't they reinstate the safe zone? It would have kept everyone's constitutional rights in tact (Unless suspending concealed carry was the goal to begin with).

No link. I heard it on fox news. Police association is wanting Ohio state law regarding open carry suspended so there are no open guns during the Republican convention. Kasich has refused their request.

Former IL Republican Party Chair Says Trump Can't Win, Hillary Better Alternative CHICAGO - Former Illinois Republican Party Chairman Pat Brady, told Bill Cameron on "Connected to Chicago" that Donald Trump "cannot win the election." Brady, who is a Kasich delegate to the Republican National Convention, said there's still an outside chance that Trump will not receive the nomination. Brady told Cameron that Trump's solutions are not Republican solutions and that Trump's lack of organization ensures he will lose. Brady said neither Abe Lincoln or Ronald Reagan would attend this year's convention because of Trump, and that he's not surprised...

Malik Shabazz: "From what I know many of the groups on the left, mainly the white left, and others, I know for a fact that there’s going to be the blocking of highways and there’s going to be arrests and there’s going to be some things. I hear, that’s going to go on next week. It’s highly likely there’s going to be...

Why Cleveland Police, Not Outside Officers, Will Be Handling Arrests During RNC CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Thousands of police officers from departments around the country will help Cleveland police provide security during the Republican National Convention, but those police officers won't be arresting anyone. While those officers can detain anyone they feel has broken the law, a Cleveland police officer will actually make the decision whether to make a formal arrest, Deputy Cleveland Police Chief Ed Tomba told cleveland.com Wednesday. Cleveland police will take the lead, partly because it's Cleveland's convention, Tomba said. But it also makes more sense to have...

Cleveland's police chief said Wednesday he would prefer that people not bring firearms to the Republican National Convention that kicks off next week — but said it is legal to do so. "It's the law in this state and as police chief, I'm bound to uphold the law in this state," Police Chief Calvin Williams said at a news conference Tuesday. More than 5,000 police officers are expected to be on hand when the Republican convention begins Monday. The party's controversial candidate, Donald Trump, is expected to be nominated at the convention, and the city is bracing for protests. Three...

FLORIDA: Trump 42 - Clinton 39 OHIO: Clinton 41 - Trump 41 PENNSYLVANIA: Trump 43 - Clinton 41 With a drop in grades on honesty and moral standards, Democrat Hillary Clinton loses an 8-point lead over Republican Donald Trump in Florida, and finds herself in too-close-to-call races in the three critical swing states of Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania, according to a Quinnipiac University Swing State Poll released today. Clinton loses ground on almost every measure from a June 21 survey by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University. The Swing State Poll focuses on Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania because since 1960 no...

Cleveland (CNN)John Kasich may be the most intensely courted man in the Buckeye State. With just seven days until the GOP convention, the quest to convince Kasich to back Donald Trump -- or even participate in the convention he campaigned to bring to Cleveland -- has been quiet but feverish. RNC Chairman Reince Priebus has pressed Kasich allies, even promising that donors will spring to aid Kasich's future endeavors if he cooperates now. Trump's top aide, Paul Manafort, has touted their increasingly professional campaign operation in the hopes of winning over the Ohio governor. Even vice presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich...

Stephen Loomis, President of Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association, thinks the "store-bought apology" isn't enough. "He needs to go to Dallas, help the families who lost their loved ones last week, write them a check, look them in the eyes and give a heartfelt apology." Loomis says Crowell's post was as "offensive as putting a picture of historical African-American men being hung from a tree in the 60s." He adds that if Crowell doesn't go to Dallas and make a donation, "I will pull Cleveland officers, sheriffs, state troopers out of First Energy Stadium this season if he doesn't make it...
